Chinese massage for dilated pelvis. Chinese acupressure. Cupping Chinese massage

– acute kidney diseases; congenital pathologies;
– the last stages of pathological disorders.

Indications include:

– presence of swelling in the arms, legs, face;
– nephritis, pyelonephritis of initial and moderate severity;
– stones and sand, congestion in the kidneys.

The degree of impairment in the kidneys is determined by the reflex zones on the patient’s body, namely, from the pain perception of the reflex zone number 5 on the wrist of the left hand (Fig. 5), and on the patient’s back.

Kidney stimulation begins with the patient lying on his back with his knees bent. Before stimulation, it is checked for the dependence of the disorders on the first circle of interactions; if such a connection is traced, then actions aimed at the therapy of circle “A” are carried out and only after its completion, the stage of kidney therapy is started. If there is no connection, then the task becomes easier and stimulation can begin.

The person performing the stimulation is located to the right or left of the patient.

The first pressure on the abdominal area is carried out on the side with greater kidney impairment. Pressure is applied through the anterior wall of the abdomen, through the spasmodic small intestine onto the perinephric space until the patient experiences pain.

Pressure on the abdomen takes place approximately at the border of the first third of the horizontal segment from the navel to the middle lateral line of the body (axillary line), shifted upward from it by the width of the patient’s index and middle fingers together; when stimulating the right kidney, pressure is applied to the navel line. The navel will be the starting point when determining the location of the stimulation zone of the perinephric space through which kidney therapy is performed (Fig. 42).

Pressure, as in previous cases, is carried out according to the method described earlier.

Pain when pressing can radiate to the back if the disease is chronic, in some cases it can feel like pain in the heart, and sometimes there may be a feeling of lack of air.

As soon as the patient feels pain in the pressure zone during pressing, the pressing is suspended at this level of pressure and the time is maintained within three minutes. After the pain disappears, the doctor’s hand is moved upward from the original place of pressure and new pressure is applied in a new place until it hurts (photo 43).

The next pressure is applied to the area below the starting point of pressure. The next pressure is applied at the interface between the small and large intestines. The pressing hand is placed on the abdominal wall at an angle towards the kidney and pressure is applied to the perinephric space from the side.

The higher the degree of impairment in the kidneys, the longer it takes to wait for the pain at the point of pressure to disappear. With daily work to improve the condition of the kidneys, there is greater penetration of the fingers into the abdomen due to relaxation of the anterior wall of the abdomen, a reduction in the time until pain disappears when pressed and a reduction in the area of pain while simultaneously improving bowel function.

The first stimulations often cause a change in the color of the urine, it becomes darker in color and thick, rich in sedimentary structures.

The condition of the perinephric space improves and the kidney begins to function better. Such stimulation results in the disappearance of sand and often the dissolution of formed kidney stones.

In some cases, experienced chiropractors achieve elimination of a kidney cyst by improving blood circulation in it and the perinephric space.

An additional option for the method can be considered stimulation, which is performed from the patient lying on his side (Photo 44). When stimulating the left kidney, for example, the patient is placed on the right side and pressure is applied through the anterior wall of the abdomen to the perinephric space until pain appears, a time delay is given, etc., according to the methods described earlier. Next, similar actions are performed with the other kidney.

After completing the abdominal work, the patient turns over with his stomach down and the next stage of kidney therapy is performed. Painful areas on the back that are reflexively associated with renal disorders are warmed up, i.e. it indirectly affects them.

The Pasternatsky test is performed on the back in the kidney area. When tapping the area of the kidneys on the back, they stop in areas where tapping responds to internal pain; in these areas, the movement of the hand through which they tap is suspended, and tapping is performed until the pain response disappears. Tapping is carried out very carefully, in time - within a minute in one area.

Thus, the entire area of the kidneys on the back in the lumbar region is tapped, preferably until there is a complete absence of painful feedback.

If the process of kidney dysfunction has gone deep, then with tapping the complete disappearance of pain is not achieved, but its dullness is observed, which is quite normal for the first stimulations. With subsequent stimulation, the pain will be relieved, and the time spent on pain relief will be reduced, which will indicate the correct execution of the actions.

Kidney massage. General provisions

The person being massaged lies on his back. You need to massage with your right hand in the area of the projection of the right kidney. At this time, the left hand does the same technique on the lumbar region, also on the right. After this, the same is done on the left side. Movements should be directed from front to back. Apply circular rubbing, pushing, shaking, stroking.

Massage is carried out differentially, taking into account indications.

Palpation of the kidneys

The kidneys lie in the lumbar region on the psoas muscle and in normal condition cannot be felt. When displaced, the kidneys become accessible to palpation. There are several ways to feel the kidney. The kidney can be palpated in a standing and lying position. To palpate the kidney in a standing position, the patient tilts the torso forward to weaken the abdominal muscles. When feeling the right kidney, the massage therapist’s right hand presses on the abdomen on the right side, the left one rests on the lumbar region under the last rib and lifts the psoas muscle along with the kidney lying on it to the right hand.

When feeling the left kidney, the massage therapist places his right hand on the lumbar region, and with his left hand lifts the kidney from the side of the abdomen.
When palpating the kidney in a supine position, the patient lies on his back, as when performing an abdominal massage. The massage therapist places his hands in the same way as when lifting and palpating the kidney in a standing position, with the only difference being that when palpating the left kidney, the massage therapist, due to less strength in the left hand, places the left one on the back of the lumbar region, and with the right one presses on the stomach in front , looking for a kidney.

Strictly speaking, the kidney itself is not massaged. When a kidney is displaced, a massage is performed on the abdominal walls and abdomen in order to strengthen and knead them. On the kidney itself, lifting and shaking are carried out. In a supine position, shaking and lifting are carried out in two types: find the kidney using the above method, with your right hand penetrate deeply under its lower edge and perform gentle shaking for 4-5 minutes, interrupting the movement with long stops for rest for both the patient and the massage therapist.

Another type of lifting a displaced kidney in a supine position is carried out as follows: with a displaced left kidney, the massage therapist stands to the right of the patient, puts his left hand on his shoulder, tries to bring his right hand as deep into the abdominal cavity as possible, grabs the kidney and shakes, at the same time moving his hand upward inward towards the spine. Removing his hand, he puts it back in its original place to repeat the movement.
If there is trembling in the area of the right kidney, the same thing is done, only the massage therapist stands to the left of the patient, trembling and lifting with his left hand.

Anatomical features of the kidneys

The excretory organs perform the important function of cleansing tissues of waste waste (salts, urea, etc.) used in the metabolic process. These include: kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.

The kidney, right and left, each weighing about 150 g, are located in the retroperitoneal space of the abdomen. The right kidney is located at the level of the XII thoracic - upper half of the III lumbar vertebrae, the left kidney - at the level of the lower half of the XI thoracic - II lumbar vertebrae. The following organs are located next to the kidneys: a) behind – the lumbar part of the diaphragm, the psoas muscle and the quadratus lumborum muscle; b) in front of the right kidney - the right lobe of the liver, the right flexure of the colon and the descending part of the duodenum, in front of the left kidney - the stomach, the tail of the pancreas, the spleen; c) above each kidney is the adrenal gland.

The kidney is covered with its own membrane - a fibrous capsule consisting of connective tissue. The fibrous capsule is adjacent to the substance of the kidney, but is weakly fused with it and can be easily separated. Around the kidney there is an accumulation of adipose tissue - the fat capsule, and outside of it is the renal fascia. The fatty capsule is adjacent to the fibrous capsule and is more pronounced on the posterior surface of the kidney. The renal fascia covers the fat capsule and has two layers - anterior and posterior. The kidneys are covered with peritoneum only in front.

The membranes of the kidney, together with the renal vessels, are its fixing apparatus. In some people, the fixing apparatus of the kidney relaxes, and it moves from its place, sometimes ending up in the pelvic cavity. Such a kidney is called vagus.

The kidney has a bean-shaped shape. It distinguishes between the anterior and posterior surfaces, lateral and medial edges, upper and lower poles. The lateral edge is convex, and the medial edge is concave and has a groove - the renal hilum. The renal artery, renal vein, lymphatic vessels, nerves accompanying the renal artery in the form of a plexus, and the ureter pass through the renal hilum. The renal hilum continues into a recess surrounded by the substance of the kidney - the renal sinus. The renal sinus is occupied by small and large renal calyces, the renal pelvis, nerves and vessels surrounded by fiber. There are 8-12 small cups, they have the shape of wide but short tubes. Each small cup at one end covers the protrusion of the renal substance - the renal papilla, and at the other end continues into a large cup. 2-3 large cups; merging, they form a funnel-shaped renal pelvis, which, tapering, passes into the ureter. The wall of the renal calyces and pelvis consists of a mucous membrane, a layer of smooth muscle cells and a connective tissue layer.

The use of vibrators is acceptable. It is advisable to preserve all the basic principles of therapy.

After stimulation, a decrease in fatigue is observed, excessive sweating disappears, the back is freed from tension and muscle tightness, and the patient’s well-being improves.

It should be noted that the system for diagnosing renal disorders in visceral chiropractic is significantly superior to clinical studies, and this makes it possible to identify disorders and prevent the development of the disease in its very bud. Sometimes it helps eliminate blue under the eyes, swelling of any lower limb, and prevent osteochondrosis.

The use of herbs in these cases implies their complex effect on the circles of interactions, as well as on the perinephric spaces, with stagnation in them.

To control the condition of the kidneys, you can use red beets, which, if there are disorders in the kidneys, produces pink-colored urine; as their condition improves, the urine stops being colored after eating beets.

You can also to sign up for comfortable time for you.

Hydronephrosis is a disease associated with pathological expansion of the collecting cavity of the kidneys and caused by a violation of the natural outflow of urine.

Hydronephrosis in children is congenital, and in adults, as a rule, acquired. This is a fairly serious disease that requires immediate treatment so that the kidney function is not impaired and does not threaten the life of your child. In children, as a rule, the disease is unilateral.

Hydronephrosis of the kidney in the fetus can be detected in the womb during an ultrasound scan, since at the 20th week of pregnancy it is already possible to recognize the anomaly. As a diagnosis, hydronephrosis is made in approximately 1% of pregnant women.

Degrees of hydronephrosis:

  • I degree. Pyeelectasis occurs, i.e. stretching of the renal pelvis, which is associated with increased urine pressure. The function of the kidney at this stage is not yet impaired, but an increase in the size of the kidney is observed.
  • II degree. There is a more significant expansion of the renal pelvis and renal calyces. The fluid contained in the tubules compresses the kidney parenchyma, after which its atrophy (thinning) occurs. Kidney function is impaired.
  • III degree. Atrophy of the kidney tissue increases, kidney functions are lost, and subsequently the kidney gradually dies, which poses a huge threat to the child’s health.
  • Symptoms

    Hydronephrosis of the kidneys in newborns and, in general, hydronephrosis in children, as a rule, does not manifest itself in any way until the third degree. Perhaps only increased anxiety in the child, as well as blood in the urine, can be alarming. Hydronephrosis of the kidney in the fetus is usually known in advance due to prenatal ultrasound diagnostics. In some cases, a symptom such as renal colic allows one to recognize the disease at an early stage. It is often characteristic of hydronephrosis caused by urolithiasis. In subsequent stages, the main symptoms are constant and aching pain in the kidney area, swelling, and hematuria (blood in the urine).

    Diagnosis of hydronephrosis

    One of the most informative methods in diagnosing hydronephrosis is ultrasound of the kidneys and urinary tract. Additionally, they resort to CDK (Doppler mapping), computer or magnetic resonance therapy and radioisotope renography. Endoscopic examination (ureteroscopy or urethrocystoscopy) is also used. These methods are aimed at visual examination of the internal structure of the kidney and ureters with the vessels supplying them. Often, with hydronephrosis, an infection can occur; for this, bacteriological urine culture and urine samples according to Zimnitsky and Nechiporenko are taken to study kidney function.

    Treatment

    It is performed exclusively surgically. Conservative treatment can only be used to eliminate inflammation, when a secondary infection occurs, or for therapy that alleviates the symptoms of the disease before surgery. The operation involves removing an obstruction that is blocking the flow of urine. Currently, modern technologies have made it possible to perform the operation endoscopically, which does not require an incision to access the surgical field. The choice of surgical treatment in each case is individual and remains only with the surgeon. Hydronephrosis in young children at the first stage may not require surgical treatment. In these cases, periodic monitoring with ultrasound is sufficient, which may be necessary up to 4 times a year.

    Hydronephrosis of the kidney in newborns and children of the first year of life of the first and second degree can go away on its own and does not require surgical treatment. The third stage always requires immediate surgical intervention.

    Hydronephrosis in children

    Hydronephrosis in children: causes and treatment

    How does it all work?

    Urine secreted by the kidneys through the ureters is collected in the bladder, from where it is periodically released out through its contraction. Without such a collection system, a person would not be able to control his waste and urine would drip all the time that it was excreted, that is, almost around the clock. To prevent urine from flowing back through the ureters to the kidneys when the bladder contracts, the openings of the ureters are closed using a system of sphincters (constipation). However, it happens that when the bladder contracts, some of the urine still enters the kidneys - if the ureteral sphincters are too weak. This phenomenon is called vesicoureteral reflux, and over time it can lead to dilation of the ureters and renal pelvis (hydronephrosis). Hydronephrosis It can also occur with congenital narrowing or compression of the ureter, defects of the urethra (urethra), and dysfunction of the bladder. In turn, overflow of the renal pelvis prevents the outflow of urine from the kidney, which can lead to the development of infection in it and, ultimately, to its death.

    How does the infection develop?

    The causative agents of urinary tract infections are most often E. coli and other intestinal microbes. It must be said that these microbes circulate freely in the blood, penetrating into it, in particular, from the intestinal lumen, but do not cause harm due to their small number and the action of the immune system. systems.

    Microbes are also present in the urine, also without causing inflammation of the urinary tract - they simply do not have time to do this during the passage of urine from the kidneys to the outside. But with urinary retention (in these cases, urologists talk about a violation of urodynamics), the microbes in it have a good chance to multiply, having previously attached themselves to the epithelial cells lining the urinary tract. There are other contributing factors. Some people have a special PL antigen on the surface of their epithelial cells. E. coli is similar to this antigen, so it is able to attach to epithelial cells even in the absence of any changes in the urinary tract and cause inflammation. Infection can develop in any part of the urinary tract - in the bladder (cystitis), ureters and renal pelvis (pyelitis) or also in the kidneys (pyelonephritis). In addition to the downward path of its development, an upward path is also possible.

    It is more often observed in girls with inflammatory changes in the external genitalia (vulvitis); the main cause is the same E. coli that contaminates the perineum during bowel movements. In boys, phimosis (narrowing of the opening of the foreskin, its inflammation) can contribute to infection. By the way, the normal microbial flora of the genital organs prevents them from being colonized by pathogenic microorganisms, but after a course of antibacterial therapy, the normal flora suffers, opening the way for intestinal microbes.

    How to recognize the disease?

    Symptoms of acute urinary tract infection are nonspecific: high fever. refusal to eat, vomiting - that’s why all febrile children undergo a urine test, which makes it possible to make a diagnosis. Sometimes an infection can be suspected by symptoms such as frequent painful urination. In case of infection, the content of leukocytes in the urine is increased, and in case of cystitis, also red blood cells. More informative than a regular urine test is the examination of all collected urine per day. And by doing a urine culture (this test must be taken sterilely - an average portion of urine), you can determine the drug resistance of the pathogen and select the most effective treatment.

    If a urinary tract infection occurs repeatedly, this may indicate urodynamic problems. In this case, a complete urological examination is necessary, which will exclude chronic pyelonephritis as a disease that poses the greatest threat to the child’s health. The examination includes an X-ray examination with the introduction of a contrast agent into a vein, examination of the bladder through a cystoscope, usually filling it with contrast to detect vesicoureteral reflux.

    It is prescribed by a doctor - a urologist or pediatric nephrologist. The use of antibiotics is mandatory. acting on pathogens of the intestinal group (or on the pathogen obtained in culture). For cystitis, oral medications are usually used, but for acute pyelonephritis, more vigorous treatment with antibiotics is given by injection for 10-12 days. At the end of treatment, it is necessary to repeat urine tests within 3-6 months (once every 2-3 months). For vulvitis, sitz baths with antiseptics are used, and antifungal agents are used if necessary.

    Antimicrobials are used only for persistent infections. It is very important to teach the child proper hygiene of the genital organs in order to prevent their contamination with feces: the movement of toilet paper should occur from front to back. Phimosis and inflammation of the foreskin in boys are also treated locally with baths; if unsuccessful, mobilization of the foreskin is done by a urologist. Chronic pyelonephritis is most often develops in children with certain disorders of urine outflow. For vesicoureteral reflux of minor severity (grade 1-2, without dilatation of the ureters), conservative treatment is carried out. Alkalinization of urine is very helpful in fighting infection - it is done by including a lot of vegetables and fruits in the diet or by additionally prescribing citric acid or sodium citrate.

    Herbs are widely used: in the acute period - decoctions of lingonberry, sage, chamomile leaves, when the process subsides - kidney tea, decoctions of juniper, rose hips. With more pronounced degrees of reflux, surgical interventions are indicated to eliminate it. Chronic urinary tract infection is treatable, but requires coordinated action between doctors and the parents of the sick child. At the same time, there is no need to go to extremes: I often see children who suffered an episode of urinary infection several years ago and have since then been on a gentle regime, constantly “warmed up” beyond any measure, and not involved in physical education. Such restrictions are completely unjustified if the child has persistently normal urine tests. And in conclusion, let me give you an anecdote, as they say, “on the topic.”

    During the Civil War, food detachments caught bag slingers selling food on trains. One of them presented a urine test instead of an ID card. A food detachment fighter reads: “Urine analysis (emphasizing the last syllables) - Italian? There is no protein, no sugar - you can move on." I would like to wish you and your children to always have such a good urine test.

    Hydronephrosis in children. Treatment of hydronephrosis

    (Average rating: 4)

    What is hydronephrosis? Why does hydronephrosis occur? How is hydronephrosis manifested and treated? Read in this article.

    Hydronephrosis or obstruction of the ureteropelvic segment

    Hydronephrosis is an expansion of the collecting system of the kidney (especially the pelvis), which occurs due to the presence of an obstruction to the exit of urine at the junction of the pelvis and ureter (in the area of the pyeloureteral segment).

    The urinary tract includes (from top to bottom) the renal calyces, renal pelvis, ureters, bladder, and urethra. The pelvis and calyces together make up the renal collecting system.

    Severe obstructions to the outflow of urine from the kidney lead to significant expansion of the pelvis and, often, to irreversible impairment of kidney function. The degree of expansion of the collecting system of the kidney is proportional to the pressure of urine in it and varies widely.

    A slight obstruction to the flow of urine causes a moderate dilation of the pelvis (pyelectasia) and is usually not accompanied by impaired renal function, but only increases the risk of pyelonephritis.

    Causes of hydronephrosis in children

    In children, in the vast majority of cases, congenital hydronephrosis occurs due to anatomical reasons. There are external and internal causes of hydronephrosis. Internal cause - congenital narrowing of the ureter, caused by underdevelopment of its lumen, is more common than others. External causes are abnormal discharge of the ureter from the pelvis and an additional vessel causing compression of the ureter.

    Manifestations, symptoms of hydronephrosis

    Hydronephrosis is part of a group of diseases accompanied by dilation of the renal pelvis (pyelectasia), which is easy to detect with fetal ultrasound. Therefore, most hydronephrosis is detected in utero. If not diagnosed before the baby is born, hydronephrosis may present as blood in the urine (hematuria), a urinary tract infection, abdominal pain, or a mass in the abdomen.

    Studies for hydronephrosis

    The first step towards diagnosing hydronephrosis is fetal ultrasound. The collecting system of the kidney is visible during ultrasound examination from the 15th week of the intrauterine period. The first sign on ultrasound is dilation of the pelvis. If after the birth of the child the dilation of the pelvis persists, then the pediatric urologist decides on the need for a more in-depth urological examination. If hydronephrosis is suspected, the child should undergo the following examinations:

    Ultrasound of the kidneys and bladder before and after urination. An ultrasound specialist can see signs of damage to the renal parenchyma and distinguish between mild, moderate and severe degrees of hydronephrosis. If the results are questionable, an ultrasound with water load and diuretics can be performed, which allows a more accurate assessment of the degree of obstruction of the ureteropelvic segment.

    Vaccine cystourethrography - X-ray contrast examination of the bladder and urethra is performed if vesicoureteral reflux or obstructed urine outflow from the bladder is suspected.

    Excretory (intravenous) urography - after intravenous administration, the radiocontrast agent is excreted by the kidneys, and their collecting systems become visible on x-rays. The study allows you to assess the degree of obstruction.

    Nephroscintigraphy- radioisotope study of the kidneys. Used to assess kidney function and the degree of urinary outflow impairment.

    Based on the above studies, the specialist must decide how serious the obstruction of the ureteropelvic segment is, whether it poses a threat to the kidney or can resolve on its own. In newborns, the diagnosis often becomes obvious only 3-4 weeks after birth. During the first 3 weeks after birth, water metabolism in the newborn's body and kidney function change significantly, and with them the size of the pelvis changes.

    The initial manifestations of hydronephrosis often disappear on their own, but sometimes progress. Specialist supervision with ultrasound performed 2-4 times a year is indicated, in the first 3 years of life, and once a year at an older age.

    The average degree of hydronephrosis, starting with hydronephrosis of the 2nd degree, can have both positive and negative dynamics. If the dilation of the pelvis increases during observation, it is necessary to carry out surgical treatment. Ultrasound in the first year of life with moderate hydronephrosis is performed every 2-3 months.

    Severe hydronephrosis with a sharp disruption of the outflow of urine from the kidney requires surgical operation without delay.

    Surgery for hydronephrosis

    The operation for hydronephrosis consists of excision of a narrow section of the ureter and the formation of a new wide connection (anastomosis, anastomosis) between the ureter and the renal pelvis. The operation is called pyeloplasty.

    The most common surgical technique is Hines-Andersen pyeloplasty. The narrowed area of the ureter is usually located directly next to the renal pelvis. After cutting off the ureter, its section closest to the kidney is dissected longitudinally, after which the edges of the ureteral incision are sutured to the edges of a symmetrical (congruent) longitudinal incision on the pelvis. Usually, after the operation, a tube is left, passed through the junction of the ureter and pelvis, to ensure uniform lumen of the anastomosis and to avoid its sticking and deformation. The second end of the tube can be brought out into the bladder (internal drainage stent) or through the kidney tissue (blank catheter).

    Length of stay of the child in the hospital after surgery

    The length of a child's hospital stay after surgery depends on the method of drainage of urine from the operated kidney. When installing an internal drainage stent, additional drainage to drain urine from the kidney is not required, and the inpatient postoperative period is reduced to 5-9 days. The stent is removed a month to a month and a half after the operation through a thin instrument inserted through the urethra.

    If during the operation, not a stent is installed, but a blank catheter, which is brought out through the kidney, then a drainage tube (nephrostomy) is installed parallel to it to ensure the free outflow of urine from the operated kidney. In this case, a longer stay of the child in the hospital is required - about 3 weeks. The choice of urine diversion option is made by the surgeon during surgery.

    Features of treatment and anesthesia are determined taking into account discussed with the operating surgeon

    The effectiveness of pyeloplasty

    The effectiveness of pyeloplasty is about 92-95%. After the operation, kidney function almost always improves and in some cases reaches the function of a healthy kidney. At the same time, structural changes in the kidney (deformation of the calyxes, decrease in the thickness of the parenchyma) may persist. Particularly significant residual changes are observed with pronounced hydronephrosis.

    Predicting the course of hydronephrosis in a newborn

    There is currently no method to determine how hydronephrosis will develop in a newborn. Therefore, the most correct approach is to monitor the condition of the kidney over time by an experienced urologist. The main method of assessment during dynamic observation is ultrasound. The difficulty of predicting the development of hydronephrosis in a newborn is determined by unstable water metabolism, changing kidney function, as well as the possibility of ripening (maturation) of its organs and tissues. These processes can lead to the disappearance of the expansion of the pelvis or stabilization of its size. At the same time, with long intervals between examinations (more than 2 months), you may miss the onset of deterioration in the kidney’s condition and be late for surgery.

    Types of hydronephrosis

    There are congenital and acquired hydronephrosis. Hydronephrosis in children is usually congenital.

  • The first degree does not show any symptoms, kidney function is not impaired, only the pelvis is dilated, but only slightly.
  • The second degree is characterized by a decrease in kidney function by approximately 40%, the pelvis expands significantly, and the kidney grows in volume.
  • In the third degree, kidney function
  • The classification is based on the degree of dysfunction and fluid volume

    Alcohol and smoking during pregnancy can lead to serious changes in the structure of organs

    Uncontrolled use of drugs also has an impact on the development of kidney pathology. There is an opinion that hydronephrosis can also be caused by harmful environmental effects on a woman.

    Clinical picture

    There may be blood in the urine. As the process worsens, an enlarged kidney can be felt in the lumbar region, and the newborn’s tummy becomes larger. While the child urinates, he cries and screams. As a result of a violation of the outflow of urine, metabolic products accumulate in the baby's body. What causes severe itching of the skin.

    The child is whiny, sleeps little, apathetic

    Hydrocele of the kidney on the left does not differ clinically from the right-sided process.

    Diagnosis of renal hydronephrosis in children

    Hydronephrosis of the left kidney in a child develops in more cases than hydronephrosis of the right kidney. To make an accurate diagnosis, it is necessary to undergo routine tests: blood, urine and biochemistry.

    In addition, for diagnosis, the method of excretory urography is used to compare the excretory capacity of both kidneys. There is also a diagnostic technique called voiding cystourethrography. The essence of the technique is the introduction of contrast, which absorbs X-rays well, into the bladder. While the child is urinating, photographs are taken, on the basis of which one can judge the structure of the organs and the presence of reverse urine flow. And if in doubt, computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging is used.

    How to treat?

    If the obstruction is located at the level of the ureter, then plastic surgery is performed. The effect of such surgical intervention is quite high. If there is a large volume of fluid inside the kidney, it is removed using catheterization.

    After the operation is completed, the child is given a drainage system; it can be external or internal. If the surgeon installs an internal drainage system, the baby will be discharged from the hospital on average within a week. And with an external system, the baby spends about a month in the hospital. During the rehabilitation period after hydronephrosis, antibiotics and uroseptics are indicated. The baby must be registered with a urologist. A general urine test after surgery should be taken once every two weeks for six months. Even after 6 months, there may be leukocytosis in the urine, however, this is not a cause for concern.

    Hydronephrosis is a serious disease, this condition requires immediate treatment, otherwise the child may develop kidney failure and, as a result, disability. Dear parents, if you have the slightest doubt about the health of your child’s kidneys, be sure to show him to the doctor.

    Hydronephrosis in children: causes, symptoms, treatment

    Hydronephrosis in children is usually a congenital disease that affects the cavities of one or two kidneys, which affects the patency of urine. It is an expansion of the cavities of the collector (collecting) system.

    Hydronephrosis in children: general description

    To understand what kind of disease this is, you need to understand a little about the anatomy of the urinary system. The pelvis and calyces, which are affected by the disease, are a funnel-shaped area where all the urine from the body accumulates.

    In a healthy state, there are no problems with the transfer of fluid further into the ureter, but when the cavities of the collecting system of the pelvis expand, this process is disrupted.

    There are two types of disease:

    • unilateral nephrosis (only one kidney is affected)
    • bilateral hydronephrosis in children (both kidneys function poorly).
    • If one kidney is affected, the patient may not even be aware of his condition, since the healthy organ compensates for the lack of outflow from the affected kidney. When the disease is bilateral, it becomes extremely dangerous and can even lead to death from uremia.

      Based on its origin, the disease is divided into:

    • congenital hydronephrosis
    • acquired form.
    • As a rule, the congenital form is much more common, which is why ultrasound examination of all internal organs on the second or third day after birth has already been introduced into the practice of neonatologists (doctors who deal with newborns in maternity hospitals) and pediatricians. This is how you can detect a violation of the outflow of urine, which begins to be produced in the womb.

      Early diagnosis also makes it possible to detect increased pressure and deterioration of blood flow in the parenchyma (protective tissue of the kidney). If the disturbances do not go away when body functions are normalized in the second month of life, treatment begins.

      Hydronephrosis in children: causes

      If the disease is acquired, then the causes of development may be kidney stones, surgical treatment of the kidneys, after which cicatricial narrowing could appear. But such cases are more typical for adults; children are most often born with hydronephrosis.

      Intrauterine examination during pregnancy of a woman can detect hydronephrosis in children even before birth, as well as explain its causes. As modern medicine shows, damage to the pelvis and calyces of the kidneys can be a consequence of:

    • stenosis (narrowing of the lumen) of the pelvic ureter
    • high ureteral outlet
    • disturbances in the structure of the pelvic region
    • stone in the ureter (a rare case of hydronephrosis in children)
    • disturbances of innervation with the central nervous system (the passage of nerve impulses from the organ to the brain and back)
    • narrowing of the bladder neck itself
    • reflux - the flow of urine back from the bladder into the ureter. As a result, the child simply cannot fully go to the toilet.
    • As you can see, hydronephrosis of the kidney in a newborn or an older child is not a consequence of an unhealthy lifestyle. This disease is difficult to “earn” from cold slides, swimming or poor nutrition.

      Symptoms of kidney disease

      The disease begins and proceeds asymptomatically, especially if it is unilateral hydronephrosis. As a rule, a healthy kidney “takes over” the function of draining urine from the body, and the affected one does not manifest itself in any way. Pain can begin with the appearance of microliths in the kidneys. inflammation.

      If hydronephrosis in children leads to pyelonephritis (inflammation of the kidneys), then the following may be observed:

    • temperature increase
    • pain when urinating
    • lower back pain
    • hematuria (the presence of blood in the urine, the most common manifestation of both hydronephrosis in children and pyelonephritis).

    Which acupuncture point on the feet is the most important? There are many significant ones, we will list the main BATs, which are also easy to find for a non-specialist.

    There is no better friend than health. There is no worse enemy than disease.

    Chinese acupressure

    The concept of “Chinese massage” includes several different techniques used to treat and prevent a wide range of diseases. All of them are part of traditional Chinese medicine.

    A little history

    In the medicine of Ancient China, special attention was paid to the regime of general hygiene and general strengthening procedures: gymnastics, solar irradiation, water procedures, massage.

    Chinese massage technique is mentioned in one of the oldest literary monuments - the Nei Jing manuscript. It dates back to the third millennium BC. The book talks about diseases for the treatment of which, in addition to taking healing potions, it is necessary to use massage and gymnastics. Using special equipment, ancient Chinese healers stimulated blood flow, which facilitated healing.
    The basics of massage techniques and methods were systematized by the Chinese doctor Kan-Fu approximately 1000 years ago. They formed the basis of massage techniques used today.

    Types of massage

    There are many types of Chinese massage. Today, several techniques are considered the most common.

    Cupping body massage

    Cupping massage

    Chinese cupping massage is considered one of the most effective and profound methods of healing therapy. This procedure helps to mobilize the body’s strength, eliminate pain, improve the functioning of internal organs, and relaxation. The cups used for massage are small bamboo, ceramic or glass cups that are suctioned to the skin by creating a vacuum in them. These simple devices provide massage. Cupping massage has also become widespread in Thailand and Korea.

    Guasha

    This is perhaps the most ancient type of Chinese massage. The procedure involves influencing reflexogenic zones located on the face and body. Guasha is carried out using a special scraper. There are three scraping massage techniques: preventive, cosmetic, therapeutic and diagnostic. The impact is on fairly large areas, therefore, unlike acupressure, there is no need to clearly define the localization of acupuncture points. Due to its ease of use, massage has become widespread.

    Guasha massage

    Energy massage

    The Chinese energy massage technique is used to awaken energy, activate its flow in the head and neck, improve brain function, lift mood, and strengthen the spirit. Before the massage, drink a glass of water and thoroughly rub your palms so that they become very hot.

    Acupressure

    When talking about Chinese massage, we primarily mean acupressure. The technique involves applying pressure with your fingertips and nails to biologically active acupuncture points. These points are located on the meridians of the body, which are conventional lines through which bioelectric impulses pass and a person’s vital energy flows. Exposure to them promotes the release of endorphins, which block pain and stimulate blood flow to areas where the pathological process is located.

    Massage points

    Chinese acupressure facial massage is also performed on active points. During the procedure, the facial muscles relax, the skin becomes firmer and more elastic, and wrinkles are smoothed out.

    Foot massage is a type of healing acupressure, in which the area of influence is limited to the feet. It is in this part of the body that the largest number of active points are located. Through them you can influence internal organs and systems. The technique is based on the teachings of Chinese medicine about the tendency of all meridians to the feet and was used by Chinese healers to restore the natural balance of the body and overall health.

    The effect of acupressure

    The healing effect of acupressure or finger Chinese massage is achieved by increasing blood flow to a specific area, saturating organs and tissues with oxygen and activating metabolism. In addition, tension and spasms are relieved, muscles relax, and as a result, waste products are quickly removed from the body. Cleansing the body improves immunity and helps mobilize strength to fight the disease. When acupressure points are stimulated, the body produces so-called “joy hormones” that block pain.

    Chinese facial massage increases skin elasticity and improves its color. Small wrinkles disappear, and deep ones become less noticeable, the oval of the face is noticeably tightened. Since there are acupuncture points on the face associated with important internal organs (liver, gall bladder, stomach), when exposed to them, it is possible to achieve a rush of blood to these organs and regulate their functions.

    Indications

    Chinese massage is used for:

    Chinese acupressure is also used for weight loss. In this case, the effect is on points, the stimulation of which leads to a decrease in appetite, a rapid appearance of a feeling of fullness, and also blocks the entry of fats into the blood and prevents their subsequent deposition in problem areas.

    Chinese massage is used for weight loss

    Chinese massage can also be performed on children. It is mainly prescribed to improve memory, improve immunity and performance. Indications for prescribing massage to a child are also:

    • digestive problems;
    • poor sleep;
    • decreased appetite;
    • cough;
    • runny nose;
    • problems with concentration;
    • hyperactivity;
    • increased excitability.

    Treatment and prevention with massage

    Chinese massage is used for both therapeutic and preventive purposes. If the technique is used for treatment, then the impact on acupuncture points continues until the symptoms of the disease disappear. To prevent relapses of the disease, the same points are affected.

    To prevent diseases, it is enough to massage one or two points. However, to obtain optimal results, it is better to complete the entire procedure.

    Some restrictions

    Massage points on the foot
    • heat;
    • fever;
    • tuberculosis;
    • appendicitis;
    • myocardial infarction;
    • heart disease;
    • kidney disease;
    • hypertension 2 and 3 degrees;
    • cerebral atherosclerosis;
    • benign and malignant neoplasms;
    • blood diseases;
    • thrombophlebitis;
    • osteomyelitis;
    • stomach or duodenal ulcer;
    • mental disorders;
    • pregnancy;
    • menstruation;
    • acute inflammation of the facial nerve (in this case, facial massage is not indicated)

    Acupressure is not performed after drinking alcoholic beverages or on an empty stomach. The procedure is not recommended during periods of sudden changes in atmospheric pressure.

    Age restrictions apply to children under 1 year of age and the elderly.

    When taking a massage course, it is not advisable to drink strong tea and coffee, salty and spicy foods. For those who like a hot bath, it is better to temporarily switch to a warm shower.

    Preparatory stage

    Before the session begins, the body must be warmed up. This takes 15-20 minutes. When the treated area becomes warm and soft, you can proceed to massage. An important condition for the effectiveness of the procedure is to constantly maintain the body in a warm state. If the skin cools down, it must be rubbed again. Rubbing is done with your palms. This technique is combined with wrist pressure. Gently knead the muscles by pinching them with your palms (not your fingers). Warming up of the muscles is carried out by rubbing with the edge of the palm. The skin can also be warmed with the wrists, fingers and forearm.

    Warm up the body before the massage

    All movements should be light and gentle. When warming up, jerky movements are not allowed. Hands do not leave the surface of the skin until it is completely warmed up.

    In Chinese facial massage, the skin is cleansed using lotion or a solution of medicinal herbs. To completely relax the muscles and dilate the blood vessels, apply a hot compress for 2-3 minutes or take a 5-minute steam bath.

    Basic Techniques

    How to do Chinese massage correctly? This requires knowledge of the location of acupuncture points, their connection with internal organs and systems, as well as mastery of basic techniques. With acupressure, there are only eight of them.

    Kneading technique in massage

    Kneading

    Produced by the pad of the thumb. The remaining four fingers are bent and do not touch the massaged surface. The thumb is located in the center of the acupressure point and makes circular movements. In this case, only the subcutaneous tissue moves (the skin should not move). Initially, the kneading speed is 1 movement per second, gradually increasing to 3 movements.

    Pressure

    This is the main technique of acupressure. It is often used after kneading. Perform 21-25 kneading, then the same amount of pressure. The procedure may consist only of pressure techniques. In this case, perform 71-75 movements. Pressure is performed with the pad of the thumb, the other fingers remain bent. The thumb is located perpendicular to the surface of the body. The movement is performed smoothly, with a gradual increase in the intensity of the impact. This creates a feeling of warmth and slight numbness. If pain occurs, reduce the pressure. During pressure, the skin does not move. Depending on the purpose of the impact, increased pressure may be used. With this technique, the second finger is located above the thumb.

    Trituration

    This Chinese healing massage technique is performed using finger pads. If the massaged point is located on large muscles, rubbing is carried out with the surface of the palm or the back of the hand. The rubbing effect tones the skin, stimulates nerve endings, eliminates chills, a feeling of numbness, and relieves swelling.

    Reception of thrusting in massage

    Pushing

    The palmar and radial surfaces of the thumb are involved in the technique. The remaining fingers remain bent. The movement is directed to the center of the massaged point. Pushing begins with gentle pressure. The intensity of the impact gradually increases. The massaged point should feel warm and numb.

    Stroking

    This massage technique is also performed using the pad of the thumb. The other fingers are bent into a hollow fist and do not touch the massaged point. Movements are performed in two intersecting directions with uniform pressure. When stroking at two symmetrically located points, you can make simultaneous movements (to obtain a better effect). The intensity of the impact gradually increases.

    stabbing

    This Chinese massage technique can be performed with one finger (one-finger thrusting) or two fingers (two-finger thrusting).

    One-finger is done using the thumb or index finger. In the first case, the thumb is in a straightened state, the rest are half-bent. They put pressure on the thumb, increasing the force of impact. In the second case, the thumb and middle fingers should be pressed tightly against the index finger.

    Pressure technique in massage

    Two-finger thrusting is performed with the thumb and middle or thumb and forefinger. Reception is carried out slowly, with a gradual increase in pressing force. The finger should be held at the massaged point for approximately 20-30 seconds. To enhance the effect, the technique is combined with vibration, after which the finger is removed from the treated point. The piercing is repeated after a few seconds.

    Vibration

    It is carried out after sticking with the thumb or middle finger. The vibrating movement increases the feeling of stiffness and swelling at the acupuncture point. This sensation extends over a fairly large distance from the affected area. The vibration is done while exhaling, its duration is 20 seconds. Reception helps to increase muscle tone in unprotected areas of the body (for example, facial). In areas where large muscles are located, vibration can be done in the form of clapping with a fist.

    Cutting

    The technique is similar to vibration. The difference is that the cutting technique involves the nail, not the pad of the thumb. The movement is performed carefully so as not to damage the skin. The patient should not experience pain. This technique is not performed in areas with insufficiently developed subcutaneous tissue. Cutting is effective for shock, fainting and other conditions requiring emergency care.

    Self-massage

    The technique of Chinese massage is quite simple, so you can do the procedure yourself. If you have serious illnesses, prior consultation with your doctor is necessary. In many cases, a mild version of Chinese massage is prescribed, which does not affect the functioning of internal organs.

    Massage is carried out in a comfortable environment

    Acupressure is performed in a comfortable, quiet environment in a lying or sitting position. The muscles are completely relaxed. Clothing should not restrict movement or impede blood circulation.

    It is optimal to carry out the procedure every day or every other day.

    Self-massage should not be performed immediately before or after meals. After the session you can drink a cup of tea.

    Acupressure points

    There are more than 700 biologically active points (BAP) on the human body. According to the direction of influence, the points are divided into the following groups:

    To obtain a positive effect from massage, you need accurate knowledge of the location of the points and the impact of acting on them on the course of certain diseases. For example, to normalize the function of the stomach and intestines, pressure is simultaneously applied to points located on the lower and upper extremities.

    Each acupuncture point has a dual role. When massaging a point at a point where pain is concentrated, it is called local. If a point is massaged to eliminate pain in a remote area of the body, it is a trigger point. In this case, the impulse from it is transmitted along the meridian to the right place. In most cases, the same BAP is processed in the treatment of a variety of diseases, but there are also points that perform a single function. For example, massaging the intersection point between the lines of the thumb and index finger helps eliminate headaches, dental pain, joint pain and affects the rectum.

  • Do not apply to inflamed or damaged skin, as well as fresh scars.
  • Massage in the abdominal area should be carried out with extreme caution. Pressing here is performed only while exhaling.
  • Chinese massage cannot be done in the axillary and groin areas, on the mammary glands, in areas where large vessels and lymph nodes are located.
  • When is the result visible?

    With Chinese facial massage, positive changes will be noticeable after the third or fourth session. The skin becomes fresher and more elastic. After a month, fine wrinkles begin to disappear, and deep ones become less noticeable.

    Foot massage is useful

    If the massage is carried out for therapeutic purposes, then the therapeutic effect in the form of disappearance of pain can occur after the first session. If the goal is to improve the functioning of internal organs, then it will take much more time. Regular professional Chinese foot massage gives excellent results. It is used to treat a wide variety of diseases.

    Price

    One 60-minute session of general therapeutic Chinese massage costs from 2,300 to 4,000 rubles.

    A foot massage costs 2000-3500 rubles.

    A facial massage can cost from 1,500 to 3,000 rubles.

    Winter massage that strengthens the kidneys

    Our journey through the seasons ends with the last element of nature - water. We prepare for weather changes (snow, frost), prepare warm clothes. The lines of the poems take us to winter and remind us that it is good for our health to smile more often. The ancients said that “laughter and a smile are the best medicine for all diseases.”

    From Svetlana's diary

    The New Year was approaching, but this did not make me happy. Work, work... What difference does it make - holidays, weekdays... There was such a hopeless state. Like a horse, you pull the strap and think: “When will this end?” And one evening, while spending time in the kitchen, I heard a voice on the radio. He was like from another world: bright, kind, soft, as if not at all from our delayed life. And if it weren’t for this voice, I would never have gotten ready for any qigong. To be honest, these eastern names of different schools do not warm my ears. Somewhere is it our Russian: “A – U”? But what to do? Qigong is just qigong. I remember this word. Unfortunately, they didn’t say the phone number in the program. But fate sometimes throws us a lifeline. So I am lucky. Ten days after the program, I saw a health magazine at a kiosk and the headline: “Qigong.” Ah, that was already a cherished word. It was there that I discovered the telephone number of the White Crane health club. A year and a half has passed since I started studying at the club and becoming friends with qigong. And that wonderful voice belonged to the head of the club - Lyudmila Borisovna Belova. And now the world has turned a different color for me: either I painted it, or qigong. I live in a world that is pleasant to me, although outwardly nothing has changed. Same job, same house. But there is His Majesty Qigong, thanks to him I became different. There is some work going on inside me. For example, I know my comfortable state, I feel it. And if it leaves me (well, you know, we live among people, not angels), then I immediately notice it and try to become what I need to be. And in knowing myself, “hearing,” understanding and restoring, qigong techniques help me. I can apply them right there on the spot.

    Water – the main element of winter, which largely determines our health at this time of year. Therefore, the best “medicine” of winter will be its energy, which we will fill our palms with when performing a massage.

    The ancients spoke about water like this: “Take water as a model.” It was in it that they saw true strength: “Water is soft, but wears away the stone.” The image of water best teaches the correct massage movements: the palms should move smoothly along the surface of the body, like streams of water.

    This image can also be imagined during a massage to strengthen the kidneys, bladder, and legs. The image of water, as one of the most universal, is useful when performing cleansing massage movements not only in winter, but also at any other time of the year.

    Kidneys – the organ that is most active in winter is the main store of water energy.

    To the element of water in the human body include:

    Bladder,

    Hair on one's head),

    The center of inner strength, located in the center of the lower abdomen, four fingers below the navel.

    Knowing Chinese diagnostics, the signs kidney diseases, which are often insensitive to pain include:

    Diseases of the legs, ear, throat, nose,

    Bladder,

    pelvic organs,

    Pressure,

    Lower back pain

    Depression.

    Strengthening the kidneys and legs is one of the secrets of qigong longevity: “Aging starts from the feet and goes up”; “Take care of a tree’s roots, and a man’s feet.” The kidney meridian is one of the main highways that supplies the legs with energy. Therefore, the health of your legs largely depends on the health of your kidneys.

    The ancients saw the strengthening of the kidneys as the basis anti-cancer qigong therapy(see “Antitumor massage”).

    The kidneys “manage the circulation of fluids, bone marrow development, and bone health,” so let me remind you: Bone health depends on kidney health. They contain the “source of vitality qi”, “primordial energy” (the energy that is given to us at birth).

    And, of course, the strengthening of the important energy center in the lower abdomen is associated with the element of water and the kidneys. Here in winter we accumulate energy, which in spring will help everything beautiful that nature has given us to bloom.

    Water suppresses fire and gives birth to wood. In winter, let me remind you, it is necessary to strengthen the heart, which is in a depressed state at this time of year - “water extinguishes fire.” Therefore, do not forget to perform a massage that strengthens the heart in winter (see “Summer massage that strengthens the heart”)

    The element of water in the spring will be replaced by the element of wood, which in the human body corresponds to the liver - “water gives life to a tree.” From mid-February, to the winter massage that strengthens the kidneys and legs, it is useful to add a massage that strengthens the liver, so that by spring it becomes stronger and can withstand the load of active work in the spring.

    Fire And water – two main elements of nature, disruption of their harmonious state leads to disaster. Therefore, exercises to strengthen “fire” (heart) and “water” (kidneys) are one of the main ones in Chinese therapy. The ancient canons of alchemy say that at the junction of the energy of fire and water (the area of the solar plexus, related to the elements of earth), a mysterious “elixir of immortality” is born, which makes our body “diamond” or “golden” and immune to disease. Such a body stops getting sick and aging.

    The main winter exercises will be massages that strengthen the kidneys, bladder, legs, bones, and internal strength.

    The options for winter massages proposed below must be performed throughout the entire winter period, both completely and partially. For diseases of the kidneys, legs, bones, bronchitis, increased fatigue, cancer they are useful throughout the year.

    Basic winter massage: “Let's stand under the stream of a waterfall”

    This massage, and we are already familiar with its variants, can be performed standing or sitting. Using light and smooth movements of the palms, contact or non-contact, we massage the entire body from head to feet. The number of movements is from 3 to 5 times. Let's imagine ourselves under the flow of a waterfall. With two palms we will simultaneously massage the body and distribute the energy of the water over the following surfaces:

    Using the palm of your left hand, massage the inner and outer surfaces of your right hand from the base to the fingertips, and vice versa;

    Using two palms, we simultaneously wash the face, neck, chest, stomach, inner surface of the legs, fingers;

    Face, neck, chest, abdomen, front surface of legs, fingers;

    Temples, shoulders, sides of the body, fourth toes;

    The back of the head, the back surface of the body along the spine with an interception at the shoulder blades, the back surface of the legs, heels.

    During the massage, we imagine that the water washes away muddy and disease-causing energy through the fingers and toes into the ground.

    At high blood pressure wash the front and back surfaces of the body, with low – from the back of the head to the toes once.

    Attention! Massage will help restore strength and health, clear away pathogenic energy, strengthen the kidneys, improve blood circulation in the legs, and is useful for high blood pressure and high body temperature.

    From Svetlana's diary

    After the class, I felt where my kidneys were. I began to mentally look at them, think about their condition. And they introduced themselves to me as a child who was puffed up, scowling and didn’t want to talk to anyone. And he doesn’t know what he wants. I got lost. I remembered that the kidneys love the energy of water. And I understood what they wanted. Of course, swim. And I began to do exercises that imitate the swimming movements of breaststroke. My health has improved significantly.

    Kidney strengthening massage

    Let’s take a comfortable body position – sitting or lying down. The number of massage movements is from 1 to 7 or more. For high blood pressure, it is useful to perform this massage 1-2 times a day.

    “Spilling qi water from the palms into the center of inner strength”

    Let’s hold our hands for a few seconds, placed one on top of the other and mentally filled with water in the lower abdomen. Filling an important energy center with water energy can be done 1 to 3 times.

    "Spilling Qi Water into the Kidneys"

    Let's place our palms, rubbed until warm, filled with the image of water, on the lower back, kidney area and hold them in this position for several seconds until the heat flows from the palms to the kidneys. The exercise can be performed 1 to 3 times.

    Lumbar massage

    Place your palms on the kidney area and make circular rubbings of the entire lower back, then the kidneys and tailbone. Let's continue rubbing the lower back with the knuckles of the fingers, gently clenched into fists, up and down, from side to side.

    Foot massage

    Gently pat the inner and then the back surfaces of the legs from top to bottom with rounded palms. Let's massage our legs one by one with two palms, mentally filled with water from the base to the toes - first the inner and lateral surfaces, placing the foot on the toe, then the front and back, placing the foot on the heel.

    Foot massage

    Rub your feet together until warm, one against the other or with your palms. Using the pads of our thumbs, alternately and in a circle, rub the centers of the upper parts of the soles.

    Attention! Massage will help quickly restore health and strength, cleanse the body of diseases and toxins, cope with swelling, strengthen muscles, bones, kidneys, pelvic organs, spine and energy system, improve self-healing processes, blood circulation in the legs, useful for high blood pressure, thyroid diseases, bronchitis.

    Bladder strengthening massage

    The bladder is the “outer gate of the kidneys”, the longest energy route, so it needs to be strengthened in case of edema, diseases of the kidneys, spine, legs and high blood pressure.

    Let's perform this massage while standing, 1-3 times.

    Head massage

    Rub the inner corners of the eyes clockwise and counterclockwise with the pads of our index fingers; Rub the back of your head with your palms from side to side, up and down; Let's run the pads of our bent fingers along the scalp from the forehead to the neck, as if we were combing our hair.

    Back massage

    At high And normal pressure Let's run the knuckles of our fingers, gently clenched into a fist, along the spine from the shoulder blades to the heels; at low pressure Let's perform these movements in the opposite direction.

    You can massage your back with a massage track consisting of wooden balls in the same order as described above.

    “Spilling qi water from the palms into the bladder”

    For a few seconds, let’s hold our hands, placed one on top of the other and mentally filled with water, in the lower abdomen. The exercise can be performed 1 to 3 times.

    Lumbar massage

    Rub it in a circle with your palms clockwise and counterclockwise all over your lower back.

    Abdominal massage

    Rub the lower abdomen gently and in a circular manner with hands placed one on top of the other in a clockwise direction.

    Foot massage

    Using two palms at the same time, we massage the legs in turn from the base to the toes along the inner and back surfaces.

    Toe massage

    Let's rub our little fingers from the base to the nails.

    Heel steps

    Tap your heels on the floor one at a time or at the same time. Tapping can be replaced by walking on your heels, while placing your palms on your lower back.

    Attention! Massage is useful for diseases of the kidneys, bladder, spine, joints, pelvic organs, high and low blood pressure, edema, bronchitis.

    "Threading threads of rain through arms and legs"

    Preparatory movements

    The “vessels of life,” or meridians, are located near the surface of the body and at close distances from each other in the hands, feet, arms and legs. Then their path branches and goes deep into the body, to the internal organs. Before threading imaginary rain threads, let's prepare the body.

    Gently and lightly pat, knead and stroke the surfaces of the arms and legs from top to bottom.

    Let's perform a massage, as if we are washing the body with palms gathered in a “boat”, both contact (lightly touching the surface of the body) and non-contact (at a short distance from the body).

    "Threading the Rain"

    Let's imagine that we take in our palms the silver threads of rain, which are to be threaded into our arms and legs, running our palms along them from top to bottom.

    We will thread 3 threads of rain into our hands along the inner surfaces and 3 threads along the outer surfaces. In the legs - two threads on the inner and front surfaces, one on the side and rear surfaces.

    Threads of rain will help strengthen the meridians, muscles and bones, cleanse the body of pathogenic qi and fill it with fresh ones. A massage using water, which is performed while taking a shower, will be especially useful (see “The simplest massage option”).

    Attention! Massage will help strengthen muscles and bones; it is useful for diseases of the kidneys, legs, bones, increased fatigue, and blood pressure.

    Leg strengthening massage

    The ancients began treating leg diseases with the kidneys: “The health of the legs lies in strengthening the kidneys.” “Life lines”, or kidney meridians (let me remind you), are one of the main highways that feed the legs with energy.

    It is no coincidence that the book pays a lot of attention to strengthening the legs. Most of the questions that I get asked during my live appearances on radio and television, in letters and by phone, are related to leg diseases: people ask how to cope with swelling, pain in muscles and joints, and sore veins.

    Before doing exercises to strengthen your legs, let's start with the advice of the ancients, which is: “Keep your feet warm.”

    On cold days, remember to wear warm shoes, wool socks and warm foot baths at 28-33°C. For severe diseases of the legs and dilated veins, we do the warm-up while sitting on a chair. The number of movements is from 1 to 7 times.

    “Spilling qi water from the palms to the kidneys”

    Let's mentally fill our rounded palms with water, place them on the lower back, kidney area and hold for 30 seconds. Kidneys filled with energy will more actively help normalize blood circulation in the legs.

    Lumbar massage

    Rub your lower back in a circular manner with your palms, and then with your knuckles, gathered into fists.

    Massage of four surfaces of the legs

    Let us gently and lightly stroke our legs with our palms along the inner, outer, side and back surfaces from the base to the tips of our fingers, then just as lightly and pleasantly pat our legs with our palms in the same direction and on the same surfaces.

    After patting the right foot with the foot, rub the left foot from top to bottom, and vice versa.

    For leg diseases, rest more often and combine rest with a leg massage, massaging them with palms mentally filled with water, from the base to the toes, imagining that the disease-causing qi and fatigue flow down following the movement of the palms into the feet. It is advisable to warm up barefoot or in socks.

    We will pay special attention to massage of the inner surfaces of the legs.

    For diseased leg veins, massage only with light, non-contact movements of the palms.

    Foot massage

    Let's massage the feet with our palms: with one palm we massage the top of the foot, with the other - the sole.

    Unusual steps

    Let's knock on the floor with both feet simultaneously or in turn: first with the toes, then with the heels, and then with the entire foot.

    Attention! Massage will help strengthen the muscles, bones and blood vessels of the legs, improve blood circulation, relieve swelling, reduce and prevent the appearance of swollen veins.

    Doing the suggested exercises every day, in whole or in part, will help not only strengthen your legs and kidneys, but also relieve fatigue, calm your nerves, get rid of depression, diseases of the pelvic organs, thyroid and pancreas, liver, bronchitis, asthma, sore throat, and allergies.

    Northern energy massage

    North – the main side of the world in winter. It may be helpful at this time of year to sit or stand facing that direction for 30 seconds. You can mentally use the energy of the north to fill your palms when performing a massage.

    Let's imagine that the energy of the north washes the body from head to feet, fills it with fresh energy and helps strengthen kidneys, bones, hair, ears, throat, internal strength, will.

    It is good not only to sit under the rays of northern energy, but also to draw its mental image with rounded palms in turn or simultaneously, washing the body from head to feet: head, hair, face, neck, joints, spine, lower back, kidneys, lower abdomen, legs.

    Blue energy massage

    Blue color – the main color of winter. Sources often indicate black as the color of winter, which is best not used in qigong therapy.

    Let's imagine ourselves in a stream of blue color and distribute its energy throughout the body: wash our hands on two surfaces - internal and external, our feet on four surfaces - internal, front, side and back.

    Then we wash the whole body simultaneously with two rounded palms in this order:

    Face, neck, chest, abdomen, inner legs;

    Face, neck, chest, abdomen, front surface of legs;

    Lateral surfaces - from the temples to the fourth toes;

    The back surface is from the back of the head to the toes.

    Do not forget to imagine that the disease-causing energy flows following the movement of the palms into the fingers and toes, then goes into the ground.

    Energy of asceticism

    Asceticism – one of the main characteristics of winter energy. In winter, active processes in the body usually do not occur. All living things in nature fall asleep, preserving and accumulating strength until spring awakening and growth.

    At this time of year, an even and calm lifestyle and moderation in everything, including food, are useful.

    Cold energy

    Cold - the main feature of winter. Dress warmly this time of year. Pay special attention to the kidneys, which are the worst organs to tolerate cold. If you have kidney disease, tie a woolen scarf around your lower back and wear warm socks on your feet.

    Energy of softness

    Mental softness - the main emotion of winter. Softness is one of the defining words in qigong: the softer the body, the less pressure and tension there is in it, the fewer obstacles to the movement of energy and blood.

    In winter, it is useful to speak quietly for at least 30 minutes, walk lightly, carefully pick up objects, try to be even and calm. It’s good to imagine your body for a few seconds as consisting of soft white cosmic clay and perform a massage in exactly this image.

    Everything will also change from winter to autumn, and from spring to winter, but we will enter a new round of the invisible circle of changes with others: stronger, stronger and younger.

    From Svetlana's diary

    I also want to learn to speak as gently, quietly and calmly as Lyudmila Borisovna. Throughout the entire qigong class she cooed to us like this. I think that in general we should speak in the same tone as if we were cradling our child. So he closes his eyes, we are so pleased to look at our treasure, and at this time we purr something. It seems to me that the vibrations of such a voice are very beneficial for others and for our own body. And how surprised our loved ones would be at such intonation! So far my voice is shrill, as one woman said. I was so sad when I heard this. I myself don’t like some voices on the radio: alarming, aggravating a bad mood. It turns out that she didn’t get far from them. So there is a goal, I will learn to speak smoothly, softly and easily. By the way, these three words are key in mastering the secrets of qigong. Movements in this ancient gymnastics should also be smooth, soft and easy. And I am very happy that I met this unusual and amazing gymnastics. I think that thanks to her, many more different discoveries await me.
