Group on on participants old. Na-Na group. Idols of my childhood. Current state of affairs

“Na-Na” is a famous Russian pop group created in 1989 by producer Bari Alibasov. The peak of the group's popularity came in the 90s.
The Na-Na group was created by Bari Alibasov in January 1989 on the basis of a competitive selection. The selection was made based on an advertisement in the newspaper; thousands of applicants came to the casting.
The group, which was included in the Saratov Philharmonic, included: Andrey Ktitarev (musical director and keyboards), Valery Yurin (solo guitar), Vladimir Levkin (rhythm guitar), Valery Burneyko (drums), Alexander Karpukhin (bass guitar) , Alexander Zaporozhets (keyboards; vocals). The group had only one soloist - Marina Khlebnikova. It was a typical vocal-instrumental ensemble (VIA) both in musical style and composition.
The first performance of the Na-Na group took place in June 1989 at the International Music Festival “Face to Face” with the participation of European pop stars.
In October 1989, the group won the first TV show “50x50” in Vitebsk. By decision of the professional and audience jury, the song “Granny Yaga” became the undisputed leader, and then the group’s first super-hit.

In 1991, according to a survey of readers of the newspaper “Evening Moscow”, Na-Na took first place among pop groups in the “Musical Marathon” competition. After the release of the first album “Don’t Get Married” in 1989, the song “Desert Beach” became a hit in the summer of 1989.

The EP “Desert Beach” released by Melodiya quickly sold out in the first days of sales.
In 1989, Na-Na was recognized by the media as “Discovery of the Year.” The group reaches the first lines of the “Sound Track” charts of the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper with the songs “Desert Beach” and “Grandma Yaga”.
Na-Na takes first place among pop groups in the Music Marathon competition.
In 1992, the song “Faina” performed by Vladimir Politov came out on top and remained in many charts in the country for about a year.

In April, Na-Na participates in the days of Russian culture in Alaska, and then tours in Anchorage and Fairbanks. In June, he received three Grand Prix at the “Shlyager-93” competition. In July he tours in Israel. In August he takes part in the “Variety Midshipmen” festival in Sochi.
In 1992, 'Na-Na' were recognized as 'Best Group of the Year'; their composition was divided into two troupes - one was headed by Yurin, the other by Lyovkin. Vladimir Politov left the group; he was replaced by Slava Zherebkin.
In the fall, the musicians went on a concert tour; in October they performed in Germany - in front of soldiers of the Western Group of Forces - and in November they reached New York. In 1993, the group's first disc was released in Germany. The Nanais continued to travel around the world - from the Kremlin they went to Alaska, from the Shlyager-93 festival (at which, by the way, they were awarded three Grand Prix at once) to Israel. In the fall, the group performed first in Sochi (at the 'Midshipmen of the Variety' festival), and then in Yalta (at the 'Crystal Dolphin'). In November they went to Germany again.
“Na-Na” began the New Year 1994 with a performance in Bulgaria - the Discovery-94 festival was just taking place in Varna. Bulgarian listeners have not encountered Russian pop music for a long time; the new group was literally a revelation for them - and made a very, very solid impression.
Already in Moscow, ‘Na-Na’ received two Ovation awards at once - for ‘Best Song of the Year’ (their almost legendary hit ‘Faina’ was recognized) and as ‘Best Pop Group of the Year’. The group did not stay in Russia for long - at the beginning of February they already performed in Paris and Cannes. The World Fair 'MIDEM-94' also could not boast of frequent performances by prominent Russian pop figures; Once again, the Nanais were simply a crushing success. The musicians were invited to tour in France and - for the umpteenth time - in Germany; in addition, they managed to get into one of the UNESCO projects, the FIDOF organization. Under the patronage of this organization, ‘Na-Na’ performed in Macedonia, the States and Portugal; Almost everywhere, incredible success awaited them.
The mid-90s became the real peak of the group's fame; Subsequently, the popularity began to gradually subside - the Russian pop scene was developing at an incredible speed and there were quite a few popular ‘boy’ groups - like the same ‘Ivanushka International’. Nevertheless, ‘Na-Na’ did not give up their position - largely thanks to a whole army of loyal fans and the production talents of Bari Alibasov.
In April 1997, the Nanais performed a new concert program dedicated to the release of their next album; the album ‘Count Up’ was released under the ‘Rec-Records’ logo.
On April 26, 1998, the first 'World Forum 'I Love 'Na-Na' was held in Moscow. As part of the events, a nameplate for the group was laid on the Square of Stars in front of the Rossiya Hotel.
Twice the musicians had to star in full-length films - in 1992 the film “Sun, Air and ... Na-Na” was shot, and in 2001 – “Flying NA-NA-d California.”
At the beginning of the new century, the group gradually fell from the top of the charts. Their last major album was released in 2003. However, the Nanais continue to perform to this day - as a rule, as part of “nostalgic” concerts in the “disco of the 90s” style.
In the summer of 2010, Vladimir Politov had to undergo a serious surgical operation - joint replacement.

The main composition of the group was formed back in 1992; then the four musicians performed. A little later, Pavel Sokolov joined Vladimir Asimov, Vladimir Politov, Vladimir Levkin and Slava Zherebkin - and the quartet turned into a quintet.

The popularity of the group was simply incredible - they can rightfully be called one of the first Russian pop projects of this level. “Na-Na” gave 350-400 concerts a year; in just seven years they managed to perform more than 25,000 times. 11 times the musicians received the national music award "Ovation" - a result unsurpassed by any pop-rock band to this day.

The Nanais worked not only in Russia - their music enjoyed success in the States, Bulgaria, Germany, Holland, Israel, Macedonia, Czechoslovakia and France.

It should be noted that “Na-Na” was by no means the first truly successful brainchild of Bari Alibasov; back in October 1966, the producer founded the jazz quintet “Integral” in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Jazz and rock and roll compositions performed by talented young musicians have always been popular with the public; Alibasov decided to launch a new project only in 1989. The competition, announced by the same "Integral", brought together thousands of young people from all over the country; The first lineup of "Na-Na" included keyboardist Alexander Zaporozhets, drummer Valery Burneyko, keyboardist and musical director Andrey Ktitarev, guitarist and singer Valery Yurin, rhythm guitarist Vladimir Levkin and bass guitarist A. Karpukhin. Already in June, the group performed for the first time at the international festival “Face to Face”; At the same time, their first solo album was released. In October, “Na-Na” won a competition held in Vitebsk, organized by the television project “50x50”; The award was awarded to them immediately by professional judges, spectators and sponsors of the show.

In November, the musicians found themselves at the epicenter of a major scandal for the first time. During a performance at the Prague Opera, the “Nanais” performed a certain Czech song (written, as it turned out later, by the dissident I. Sukhoi), which caused a very, very sharp reaction from the organizers; the group was eventually removed from the concert. In Moscow, meanwhile, “Na-Na” received the absolutely deserved title “Discovery of the Year”.

In 1990, the group's popularity reached a completely new level; In almost all major Russian charts, Alibasov’s wards are firmly entrenched in the first positions. Soon Karpukhin left the group; he was replaced by Vladimir Politov. In the summer, the musicians gave their first solo performance at the Rossiya concert hall.

In 1992, "Na-Na" were recognized as "Best Group of the Year"; their composition was divided into two troupes - one was headed by Yurin, the other by Lyovkin.

The “Nanais” continued to travel around the world - from the Kremlin they went to Alaska, from the Shlyager-93 festival (at which, by the way, they were awarded three Grand Prix at once) to Israel. In the fall, the group performed first in Sochi (at the Variety Midshipmen festival), and then in Yalta (at the Crystal Dolphin). In November they went to Germany again.

Best of the day

“Na-Na” began the New Year 1994 with a performance in Bulgaria - the Discovery-94 festival was just taking place in Varna. Bulgarian listeners have not encountered Russian pop music for a long time; the new group was literally a revelation for them - and made a very, very solid impression.

The mid-90s became the real peak of the group's fame; Subsequently, the popularity began to gradually subside - the Russian pop scene was developing at an incredible speed and there were many popular “boy” groups - like the same “Ivanushki International” - on it. In the summer of 2010, Vladimir Politov had to undergo a serious surgical operation - joint replacement.

After eight productive years of work, the striking brunette Oleg Korshunov left the group. Executor broke up with “Na-Na” and Alibasov without noise or scandals in the media. Fans of the band did not learn the sad news from the newspapers. Oleg announced his decision to go free swimming on social networks.

“I want to tell everyone that I’m not disappearing anywhere,” Korshunov reassured the upset girls. “I’m preparing a concert program, so I need a little time to breathe and you’ll really hear me. Leave your requests for anyone who would like to come to the concert. city ghosts. I'm waiting for everyone and will never go anywhere(hereinafter the author’s spelling and punctuation have been preserved. – Editor’s note).”

However, fans literally flooded the singer’s VKontakte page with words of support. Many have no doubt that Oleg will achieve success as a solo artist. "Thank you everyone for the nice words. Really I felt cramped behind the keys in the NA-NA group. It's boring to play the same thing over and over again for 8 years", complained Korshunov, who wanted creative freedom.

He personally developed the images of the future members of the group, after which he announced the casting.

The casting was announced in April 1989 through the popular newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets, but out of 700 people who came to the audition, only Vladimir Levkin was chosen.

Vladimir Levkin - 50 years old

In 1997, Vladimir was diagnosed with cancer of the lymphatic system. The singer struggled with the disease for more than 10 years. Upon learning of his illness, Levkin left the group and began working on other projects.

However, the disease took a lot of strength from the talented singer. In 2012, Levkin married for the fourth time and became the father of a girl, Nika.

Vladimir Asimov - 50 years old

Asimov joined the popular group immediately after serving in the space forces. While fans expressed their love to Vladimir and dreamed of having a child with him, he was faithful to his girlfriend Tatyana Tomilina all the years. It is known that Bari Alibasov forbade the guys to get married, as this could affect the popularity of the group.

Asimov secretly married in 1995 and had a son. Even his parents did not know about the marriage.

After leaving Alibasov’s group, the singer and his family moved to Spain. Now he continues to record songs, including in Spanish.

Pavel Sokolov - 43 years old

Pavel Sokolov became the vocalist of the group in 1997, and before that the artist danced for 8 years in the “Na-Na” dance routine. In his words, at that time he was “very weird.” There was alcohol, relationships with fans, and illegal substances.

In 2008, he left the group and has not kept in touch with his former colleagues since then.

Vladimir Politov - 46 years old

Vladimir Politov still works as part of the Na-Na group. At the peak of his fame, he could afford whatever his heart desired. According to him, after concerts he carried bags of money that he didn’t know where to spend, so he spent it on clubs, girls and alcohol.

Soon Politov married a girl who bore him a daughter. She is now 16 years old. The couple separated and live in different countries.

Vyacheslav Zherebkin - 49 years old

Vyacheslav Zherebkin, coming to the casting for the Na-Na group after serving in the tank forces, did not expect that he would soon become incredibly popular. In 1994, he got married and became a father for the first time. Now he has 4 children, the youngest of whom is only one year old.

As you know, in the company of two young members of the group - Leonid Semidyanov and Mikhail Igonin, Vladimir Politov and Vyacheslav Zherebkin continue to tour and delight fans with their creativity. This summer the group "Na-Na" shot a new video for the song "Zinaida".
