Ban

If during the authorization process you receive a system message “Network access using this account/game console is blocked or temporarily suspended,” then the account or console is banned.   • Network login ID (email address);

Account hijacking / Account activation on the left consoles

If your account is hijacked and your network login ID (mail) is changed, you must provide:

  • PSN ID
  • Mail before the theft (you must send a request from it if you have access to it)
  • Receipts from digital content purchases, transaction numbers
  • PSN ID of at least 5 friends from the list (if any)
  • Scan/photo of passport with first name, last name and age corresponding to the data in the account
  • Account creation date (as accurate as possible)

If an account is hijacked without changing the network login ID (mail):

  • You must recover your password yourself by following the link https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/reg/account/forgot-password!input.action?service-entity=psn or through the “Forgot password” option on the game console

Unauthorized activations should be considered account hacking. If the possibility of authorization is preserved, i.e. If you haven’t changed your login and password, then first of all you need to change the password for your PSN account and mailbox, and ideally change your email. Then you should check the possibility of general deactivation through the website. If it has already been used, write a request by email from the address that is the network login identifier. Additionally, indicate the Online ID, date of birth and serial number of the game console (consoles, if the user has several of them).

Refund

  • PSN ID

If you forgot your date of birth:

Refunds for automatic renewal of PS Plus subscription

Transfer game/money/achievements (or any other data) from one account to another

  • Transferring materials from one account to another is technically impossible

Change account country

Having purchased a brand new PS4 console, it was decided to create a new account on PSN and link a bank card to it. The latter, in turn, allows you to sign up for a 14-day trial subscription period PlayStation Plus, which allows you to play multiplayer and purchase some games with big discounts.

After about 5 days of using the new generation console, it became clear that playing multiplayer is quite dull and not interesting, but most likely this opinion was formed due to the dullness of a particular game. Ultimately, it was decided to simply give up on playing through multiplayer on PS4.

And now, after about 9 days, a letter is sent to the email associated with the newly created PlayStation Network account stating that the account’s wallet has been successfully replenished, and then, almost instantly, another one informing that the money debited from the bank card has gone to automatically renew your PlayStation Plus subscription.

Since the PSN account had not been online for a week, I was confident that a letter to technical support would solve everything and the money would be returned to the bank card, but everything turned out to be completely different. Having written a letter through the feedback form on the Sony PlayStation website, I received the following response:

In response to your request, we inform you that according to the Sony Entertainment Network Terms of Service (the full version of this document is located at:), unfortunately, refunds for automatic subscription renewal are not provided.

The decision is based on the fact that you were informed three times about the automatic renewal of your subscription, and that according to the license agreement you accepted: “You are not entitled to a refund for digital services (for example, a PlayStation Plus or Music Unlimited subscription) unless if your order is subject to EU consumer laws."

In response to this letter, a question was sent about where exactly these three mysterious notifications came that the account had automatic subscription renewal enabled, because no letters from Sony had been received by email since the account was created. Technical support in the response message referred to the official PSN website, ignoring the question asked:

Due to the fact that the response time of Sony PlayStation technical support is about 10 hours, correspondence is seriously delayed. In the end, we have wasted 449 rubles, which were clearly not intended for a completely unnecessary subscription to online services, and a spoiled mood.

After this story, respect for Sony has dropped greatly. From personal experience over several years, we were able to verify that this Japanese company produces excellent TVs, smartphones, tablets, and other products.

It is clear that the automatic renewal of the subscription was mentioned in the license agreement, but why could it not be sent by email or in some other normal way to notify the account owner about the impending debiting of money. A person who bought a Sony PlayStation console for the first time is unlikely to be well versed in all the intricacies of a company store, so such a step on Sony’s part looks like a disregard for its customers.

If you buy a full-fledged game on Steam of your own free will, then technical support will definitely issue a full refund if the game was played for a total of no more than 2 hours. This is truly a real concern for your buyer, who can refuse and return funds for the game, even if he simply did not like it.

It is also worth considering the fact that a refund was requested from Sony not for a deliberately purchased game, but for services automatically written off and connected by the system. It's a shame that Sony engages in such petty and low tricks that can forever discourage the buyer’s interest in the company’s products.

This story once again proves that you shouldn’t enter your bank card details in any service. To do this, it is better to use a virtual card, which can be transferred for free after each transaction. Such a card should be topped up only when you need to make an informed payment. Following this small rule will save you nerves and money from companies like the unscrupulous Sony.
