Ski slope Uzkoe. Sevastopolsky Avenue

Not only Russians come here, but also guests from distant foreign countries.

The resort has a whole network of lifts ranging from 200 to 600 meters in length - chairlifts, pendulum, gondola and rope tows. The ski area is located at an altitude of 1600-3200 meters, the total length of the resort's ski slopes with various levels of difficulty is more than 20 km, the elevation difference is about 500 meters. The highest point of descent is Mount Mussa-Achitara with a height of 3002 m.

The slopes have 3 levels of difficulty, but on local maps the tracks are not marked, but only highlight ski areas - easy (green), medium (blue) and difficult level (red). For children and beginners there are special trails called “paddling pools”.

There are several routes for freeriders; they start at the top station of the 5th stage of the chairlift. The main part of these routes passes on the northern slope of Mount Mussa-Achitara with subsequent access to the Teberda-Dombay highway or to the Gonachkhir gorge. A ski pass for 1 full day costs 1,400 rubles.

The season in Dombay lasts from December to March. Dombay has a mild and warm climate. The average temperature in winter does not fall below −5 degrees, sometimes even rising to + 10 or +15.

A large skiing region, ski slopes and lifts are concentrated on the slopes of two mountains - Elbrus and Cheget. Elevation difference up to 2000 meters, total length of trails 35 km, natural snow, long “season”.

Cheget (3,700 m)

The elevation difference on Cheget is 1,000 m. Cable and chair lifts. The slopes of Cheget are steep. Ski areas are medium to difficult.

The famous Cheget hillocks are the best way to test how well you can ski. For snowboarders, the slopes on the south side are recommended - wide and steep fields; on the north, the slopes are more suitable for extreme sports enthusiasts and freeriders. However, it is not recommended to travel to dangerous areas without minimal avalanche equipment.

Elbrus (5,642 m)

The height difference on Elbrus is up to 2,000 m. There are 3 lines of lifts on the mountain - pendulum-cable lift and cable-chair lift. For beginners there is a rope tow at the foot.
The slopes of Elbrus are much less demanding on the level of skiing than Cheget; here you can find tracks of any complexity.

Snowboarders will be interested in the slopes under the second stage of the lift. And for freeride and backcountry lovers there is the opportunity to join groups with guides.
A 1-Day subscription to the Elbrus Region GC costs 900 rubles. On New Year's holidays - 1000 rubles.

The season on Cheget is from December to April. On most of the Elbrus routes, the season is from October to May. At an altitude of more than 3800 meters, the season lasts all year round, but these areas can only be reached by snowcats.

Kirovsk

The ski season is considered to be from December until almost the end of May. A large influx of skiers and snowboarders is also observed in the first week of the New Year.
During the polar night, from November to January, when there is only 2 hours of daylight, there is a discount on lifts of up to 50%.

The length of the trails is about 30 km. The main advantage is accessibility, from the center to the ski lifts it takes about 20 minutes on foot, the variety of terrain, 4 drag lifts and one chairlift. During the polar night, two routes have evening lighting. There is a slope for beginners, trails of varying degrees of difficulty.

Two springboards 50 and 70 meters. Mogul track for fans of extreme skiing.

Mountain carousel

GLK Gazprom is considered a place for calm and lazy skiing. Perfect for beginners. At the same time, there are two good black pistes, but they are often closed.

There are 19 modern lifts - 3 gondolas, 3 chairlifts, 1 rope tow, 3 “magic” carpets).

What to do in the summer while waiting snowy winter, you ask. Look snow videos wearing a hat, mask and hugging board! Of course, this is also an integral part off-season, but an even better option would be to go to the nearest indoor ski complex (glk) and skate there for an hour or two. Indoor ski resorts is a whole industry that has been actively developing for more than 20 years. Today there are about 80 of them in the world. For snow lovers, we have collected information about several special and interesting indoor ski slopes in one article. Read and enjoy.

In countries where the air temperature reaches +50, snow is truly exotic. Ski Dubai - one of the most spacious rooms in the emirates, with temperatures below zero, occupying an area the size of three football fields. Excess cold air is redirected (using special fans and pipes) to the neighboring shopping and entertainment complex for air conditioning. What kind of winter entertainment is there? Ski Dubai! All its expanses are covered with a 70-centimeter layer of snow. Inside, it is decorated with alpine landscapes painted on the walls; real pine and spruce trees also grow there, and penguins live there, which were brought there in the spring of 2013.

The largest glk in the world by area is SnowWorld Landgraaf in the Netherlands (35,000 m²). It is also home to Europe's largest artificial snowpark. This ski resort has five slopes, the longest of which reaches 520 meters and is equipped with a six-seater chairlift. Due to the large number of elevators, vacationers spend almost no time waiting in lines. By the way, one of the tracks of the complex is an official training ground FIS. It means that Snow World Landgraaf– the only glk that allows you to organize official competitions FIS World Cup.

, which is located in Lithuania, can simultaneously receive about 1000 visitors. Here they can enjoy all possible winter pleasures: riding skiing and on snowboards, children can frolic in the snow, and in the future they will be able to skate and play hockey. Based on the totality of its technical parameters, the complex is one of the five best indoor ski resorts in the world. The creators of this project carefully analyzed the best experience of other countries in this matter, assessing their mistakes, and studied the artificial slope industry for a long time. As a result, we built our own version, which is among the ten best in the world, using modern technologies and a little ingenuity and resourcefulness to help us.

Today, under the dome of the German hides the longest all-season track in the world (640 m). Another feature is the shape and location of the route - it descends from the mountain into the valley, and is curved like a question mark. This German complex also surprises us with the fact that its entire roof consists of solar panels, which is 19,000 m². Of course, this helps a lot in saving on electricity.

Snezh.com . – This is the only all-season ski resort in Russia, which was opened only in 2008. The glk tracks, 400 meters long, are designed for 600 people. The project in Krasnogorsk has a unique configuration of an artificial mountain and a rather complex architecture for such complexes. Inside Snezhkom, an alpine climate is simulated, thanks to artificial snow, which is produced in the amount of 100 tons per day in a neighboring building and supplied to the slope through special pipes.

S nowfun park , located just 90 minutes from Berlin, is one of the largest indoor ski resorts in Europe. Also, this is the only glk in the world that contains half pipe, which allows for the corresponding ski and snowboard competitions. The green, blue and even red slopes located inside make S nowfun park an ideal skiing destination not only for athletes, but also for families. The main slope is 80 meters wide and 330 meters long.

The very first indoor ski resort is Sayama (Japan). It has continued to welcome guests for 60 years. Of course, not everything there is as ideal as we would like: the snow is not really snow, but rather ice, the walls are not thick enough to maintain the temperature, reconstructions are carried out more often than it works, and even it is closed for the summer, but despite this he still exists and retains the title of “veteran” among the rest of the glk.

The only one in the Southern Hemisphere that is year-round , located in New Zealand. The slope there is only 200 m long. There is also snowpark, which especially pleases freestylers. Snowplanet is very popular among children and young people, as there are well-developed promotional offers for visitors.

Alas, snow is not a constant phenomenon. Still, it’s good that such an industry is developing rapidly, and new technologies are emerging that lead to the emergence of more and more snow-covered slopes for skiing in the summer, even in the hottest countries. Of course, they will never replace magnificent mountain landscapes, frosty air, endless snowy expanses, but they have everything to stay in shape and feel a surge of joy from doing what you love.
