Meleuzovsky Cadet Corps admission conditions. Admission to cadet school

It is difficult to disagree with the fact that every parent wishes only the best future for their child. Those mothers and fathers who aim to raise their child to be a self-confident, strong and decent person, think about his military training. Today we will try to figure out what a cadet school is - that idealized place from the series “Cadets” or the starting point where the path of a young cadet begins, capable of independently taking responsibility for his actions, making decisions and always being someone you want to look up to.

It must be remembered that one parental wish for successful admission to cadet school, it will not be enough. First of all, the child himself must realize that in the future he will not have a very easy time. The usual way of life of a schoolchild will soon change radically. Willy-nilly, he will have to grow up, namely: become an organized and collected cadet, steadfastly endure all difficulties, both physical and moral, and be responsible for his every action.

You also need to understand that the cadet corps is not a place where a child is always in full view of his parents. In other words, this is a boarding school where the student stays around the clock, and his skills are developed independently without the help of parents. Boarding school is an excellent opportunity to develop qualities such as independence and self-sufficiency in a child. Which boy hasn’t dreamed of the sea and long voyages on a huge ship? Then a maritime school in St. Petersburg will be the optimal solution.

Having studied all the pros and cons, parents are puzzled by how to enroll in a cadet school, what data a child needs to have, and also what are the living conditions in educational institutions. First things first.

Today, the doors of several dozen cadet corps are open throughout Russia.

a list of cadet boarding schools is provided, as well as their contact details with links to official websites. Of course, the requirements of each educational institution may differ from others, but the general rules are the same for all.

What should you consider when entering the cadet corps?

1. Age

The first point may immediately confuse, or vice versa - reassure parents. There is no single age criterion for all cadet corps. In some schools the children accepted from an early age, namely, from the age of seven. In others, the priority for admission is a child who has completed grades 8–9. It's never too late to start, but in our case, it's never too early.

It would seem that what could be simpler than the age clause? But here it’s up to you, parents, to decide whether you think it’s right to lay a strong foundation in your child’s head from an early age, consisting of discipline, self-organization and responsibility, or whether these qualities will be consciously introduced only in adolescence.

Should note an important detail- girls, for some time now, can also study in the cadet corps on the same basis as boys. Girls who graduated from cadet school are distinguished by special endurance, perseverance, a pronounced sense of duty and patriotism, determination, the ability to think outside the box and compete in erudition and physical fitness with graduates of secondary schools.

2. When should I start preparing?

If you nevertheless decide that your child will enter a cadet school, then you need to start preparing right away from now on. After all, as in any educational institution, several people always apply for one place at once. There are also a number of children who are eligible for benefits. They enter the cadet school without competition and without exams. Benefits are received by:

  • a child whose parent is a military personnel;
  • a child whose parent has been awarded an order (Order of Glory, Order of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Order of the Hero of Russia);
  • a child whose parent died while serving;
  • orphans.

3. Collection of medical certificates

The health of a future cadet is one of the most important factors that are taken into account when entering an educational institution. You should take care of going to the clinic to undergo all the necessary doctors and procedures in advance. Gathering information can take from several weeks to months.

Help about professional suitability(086/у) can be obtained at the clinic at your place of residence, having been examined by the following specialists:

  • therapist;
  • ENT doctor;
  • ophthalmologist;
  • neurologist;
  • surgeon;
  • endocrinologist

In addition, a prerequisite is fluorography stamp and a number of analyses. The list of tests varies in different medical institutions, but more often it is a urine, blood, hepatitis and HIV test.

In addition, it should be noted that there are a number of diseases that can prevent successful entry into cadet school. These include tuberculosis, diabetes mellitus, diseases of the immune system, diseases of the blood, skin, diseases of the nervous system and mental disorders, and many others. It is mandatory, without hiding, to tell the general practitioner about this during a medical examination.

4. Level of physical fitness and education

In addition to the health status of the potential cadet, the selection committee will be interested in what physical shape he is in and what his performance at school is. Children who enter cadet school at the age of seven will have to have a conversation with a psychologist, based on the results of which the specialist will decide whether the child is ready to study in a specialized school. Children who dream of becoming cadets after grades 8-9 will need to pass the standard for pull-ups, running and cross-country (1 kilometer). The conditions for passing the standard must be announced by the person taking the exam.

There is also a music department in the cadet corps. For those wishing to enroll there, it will be necessary to pass exams in the Russian language and solfeggio.

5. Documents required for admission to cadet school

  1. Application addressed to the director from parents;
  2. Application from the applicant;
  3. Birth certificate of the applicant;
  4. Copies of both parents' passports;
  5. Certificate of employment from both parents (guardians)
  6. A copy of the applicant's passport;
  7. Four 3x4 photographs;
  8. Certificate sample 086/у;
  9. A copy of the insurance policy;
  10. A copy of the medical card with the stamp of the medical institution;
  11. Vaccination card;
  12. Autobiography of the applicant;
  13. Information about school performance and characteristics from teachers.

The start and end dates for accepting documents may vary depending on various cadet schools in Russia, but most often, this is the period of time between mid-April and mid-June. It is necessary to clarify the deadlines, as well as the list necessary documents, in the educational institution where you plan to enroll.

Since interest in this form of education is growing every year, and the competition reaches 5-6 people per place, in order to have a chance of admission, you need to know about the various nuances that determine whether your child will wear cadet shoulder straps or not.

What medical certificates are needed for admission to the Cossack Cadet Corps?

One of the most important factors for candidates is their health status. This applies to those who enter after the sixth and after the ninth grade.

The state of health is assessed by the admissions committee on the basis of the provided certificate of completion of a medical examination. Parents will have to do a lot of running around to see doctors. The main document is the child’s medical record in form 026/у-2000. You can submit either the original or a copy certified by a medical institution to the commission. Please note that the medical examination must be completed no earlier than the year in which you decide to enroll in the corps. It sometimes happens that parents, who have planned everything in advance, forget about the expiration dates of medical documents. Your child will need to see the following doctors:

  • pediatrician;
  • surgeon;
  • orthopedist;
  • otolaryngologist;
  • ophthalmologist;
  • cardiologist;
  • endocrinologist;
  • neurologist;
  • dermatologist;
  • psychiatrist;
  • dentist;
  • phthisiatrician (with data on Mantoux);
  • urologist.
In addition, undergo an electrocardiogram, ultrasound, general blood, urine and stool tests, plus an HIV test and markers of hepatitis B and C.

As you can see, collecting medical documents is quite a troublesome task.

In addition to medical documents, the child will have to undergo an examination by so-called external specialists - doctors of hospitals and clinics in the city or village where the cadet corps is located.

It is possible that in the Kropotkin Cadet Corps the selection of candidates based on medical criteria this year will be stricter than usual.

In addition to medical documents and a bunch of certificates, you must also provide a history of the child’s development (form 112/y) or an original extract from it. It should indicate whether the child is under dispensary observation, specific diseases indicating the diagnosis and date of registration, as well as information about the absence or presence of allergic reactions, including those that interfere with preventive vaccinations and antibiotic treatment. Since food in cadet corps is “from a common pot,” the extract from form 112/u must contain information about food allergy products. To this list it is worth adding a copy of the certificate of preventive vaccinations.

If you have doubts about the state of your child’s health, then it is better to abandon the idea of the cadet corps, since the loads there are very serious.

List of documents for admission to the Cossack Cadet Corps

First, a copy of the candidate's birth certificate or passport. Parents or legal representatives of orphans are required to present their general passports. You also need a certificate from your place of residence indicating the composition of your family (extract from the house register).

Secondly, you need to attach to the package of documents a copy of the child’s personal card with annual marks for grades 1–6. If you submit documents before the end of the school year, then an extract from the report card for the first three quarters and current grades for the fourth quarter will do. After the end of the school year, you need to copy your final grades. Naturally, all documents must be certified by the school’s seal. Don't try to be cunning by negotiating inflated estimates. The truth will definitely come out.

You will also have to visit the juvenile affairs department to get a certificate whether your child is registered or not.

A complete list of documents will be given to you at the cadet corps or can be found on the website of any of the six Cossack educational institutions. There you can also get acquainted with topics for interviews in the Russian language and mathematics.

What can improve your son's chances of admission? Certificates, diplomas, certificates of commendation and other documents about his achievements in public affairs, creativity and sports. Collect any documents about participation in school Olympiads, competitions, and so on. This is the case when you can’t spoil the porridge with oil.

Another important document is a petition or recommendation from the primary Cossack society, approved by the ataman of the department or district. Where can I get this document? If the student’s father is a member of a farm, stanitsa or city Cossack society, then there will be no problems with obtaining the necessary paper. If there are no registered Cossacks in your family, look for ways to get a recommendation. If you don’t find it, it’s basically nothing to worry about. But only if your son can cope with the questions in the Russian language and mathematics. This is the most important indicator.

How to prepare for an interview at the Cossack Cadet Corps

Since sixth-graders have not yet had to take exams, psychological breakdowns are possible. A child may become confused due to excitement.

1. Simulate an interview situation

To avoid this, it would be a good idea to give your children some coaching before the interview. Assume that your child will be asked oral questions in the Russian language. No tests, just answers to the questions asked. The commission consists of three or four people unfamiliar to the student. Try to simulate such a situation by gathering people you know, but unfamiliar to your son. Believe me, your efforts will pay off handsomely.

2. Study the history of the Kuban Cossacks

Another set of questions concerns the history of the Kuban Cossacks. In essence, the knowledge gained from studying Cuban studies should be enough. However, I advise you to take a textbook and make a list of questions. This is exactly what I did when my godson was preparing to enter the Novorossiysk Cossack Cadet Corps.

The child may be asked questions about the modern history of the Kuban army and asked about commemorations. If your son studied in a Cossack school or class, then most likely he will be able to answer them, but safety net will not be superfluous. Search the World Wide Web. A treasure trove of information is contained on the website of the Kuban Cossack Army.

At the interview, they will probably ask the question: what is the name of the chieftain who signed the recommendation. If the child does not answer, it will not look good. By the way, one of the commission members will definitely ask if your son knows the last name, first name, patronymic and rank of ataman of the Kuban army. So don’t be lazy and find out about the above yourself, and train your child.

Be sure to take your child to the Felitsin Museum on the eve of admission, where there is an exhibition of regalia and relics of the Kuban Cossack Army. Let him see with his own eyes the Charter of Catherine II, and the replacement, and the weapons. After all, it is better to see once than to hear a hundred times.

3. Take your child to church

And further. At the interview, they may ask whether the cadet candidate knows Orthodox prayers, whether he goes to church, or whether he wears a cross. Our church is separated from the state, but since the corps is called the Cossack Cadet Corps, these questions are quite appropriate, because, as they say, a Cossack without faith is not a Cossack. I advise you to go with your son and pray in church on the eve of the interview. Patrons of the Cossacks are the Most Holy Theotokos, the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, and St. George the Victorious. Place candles in front of these images and pray sincerely. Believe me, these are not empty words...

4. Make sure your child wants to become a cadet

And finally the most important thing. Make sure that the decision to enroll in the Cossack Cadet Corps is made not only by you, but also by your children. After all, 13-year-old boys will have to live in a boarding school, in a completely unusual environment, where there are neither parents nor grandmothers nearby. Everything here is unusual, sometimes frightening in its novelty: military discipline, drill training, military hand-to-hand combat classes, complete self-service in terms of washing clothes, hemming collars, shoulder straps. So at least teach your kids how to hold a sewing needle.

You can pick up a cadet on leave only for two partial days, and then take him back to the corps. Moreover, if your son has done something wrong and received bad grades, then he may not be allowed to go home. And so on until graduation. Think about whether your child can withstand such a radical change in life? Do not try to break their psyche in an effort to sell children for government money.

If there is even a shred of doubt, contact psychologists who know Cossacks and get to the bottom of the child’s true motives. Without appropriate motivation, he is unlikely to withstand the difficult conditions of his new life.

Sergey Kaprelov,

especially for VK Press.

In recent years, the concept of cadet schools has become quite popular. And despite the fact that their history goes back to ancient times (as they have always been), their number has increased significantly over the past year. So, within a year, cadet classes were opened in 116 schools in Moscow. What is most surprising is that getting into these classes is not so easy, and the program here differs from a general education simple school. And it ends here only in the evening, since after lessons the cadets still have a lot of things to do: they shoot at the shooting range, play sports, learn to waltz and much more. But first, it’s worth understanding everything in order.

A little history

The word “cadet” itself is French, it means “junior”, “minor”. Before the revolution in France, this was the name given to those young people who were accepted into the palace for military service and then became officers. So we can say that, having become cadets, they laid the first stone in their officer profession.

In Russia, the first cadet corps appeared in the 18th and 19th centuries. But their life was short-lived, since the October Revolution began, and the buildings were closed. And only after the Great Victory they opened again. And gradually, more and more new cadet corps were added to all those known to Suvorov. And soon the idea came to open a cadet school, which soon came true.

The emergence of schools

The very idea of creating such schools arose recently, in 2014, when the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory was celebrated. The management, parents, and even schoolchildren liked the idea so much that it soon came to life and began to expand, enjoying wide popularity.

Cadet classes - what are they?

First of all, you need to understand what cadet classes are. In fact, the characteristics of a cadet class are very simple: it is an elementary military-judicial institution, where a secondary educational institution program is also provided. But the main highlight of these institutions is that schoolchildren are trained and prepared to become soldiers.

Many may also be wondering what cadet classes there are. Today, cadets (as students of cadet classes are called) are recruited from the 7th grade. But there is also a cadet corps from 5th grade. We can say that there are practically no restrictions here. Although many opponents complain and argue that collecting children aged 11 (from fifth grade) is wrong, since in these schools the program is very complex and strict. But nothing is done just like that; the curriculum is completely designed in accordance with the age of the children. It follows from this that 5th grade (cadet) is preparation for more serious activities. That is why children perceive cadet classes as a kind of game at the very beginning of their education.

But still, schools that enroll students in corps (cadet) after 9th grade are very popular.

By what criteria are cadets recruited?

In fact, not everyone is able to enter the cadet class. A child who:

  • Physically healthy.
  • Good student.

Before a child enters the classroom, he undergoes a full examination. But as you know, for every rule there are exceptions: those children, one of whose parents is a military man, are included in cadet classes out of turn, and this also applies to those whose parent died while executing a military order. For the rest, there is a strict selection. Since cadet classes differ in their workload both physically and educationally.

Structure of cadet classes

Since this phenomenon is new to the people, there is a need to understand the structure of cadet classes. In fact, it is completely different from the public school that everyone is used to.

First of all, it is important to understand that there are different forms of cadetship.

Cadet Corps

They are subordinate to the Ministry of Defense. This type is a boarding school, from where a child can return home only after receiving a leave of absence. In these corps, the curriculum is nothing but orders from the Ministry of Defense.

Cadet schools

This type is already subordinate to the Department of Education; to put it simply, it is a type of general education institution in which students, in addition to general subjects, also acquire military training. In cadet schools, children wear a special uniform and follow an organized daily routine. In this case, the children return home in the evenings. And what’s most interesting is that children can be recruited there starting from

Differences between cadet classes and secondary schools

Cadet classes emphasize history. In them, students study this subject in depth. This is the rule for each school, and as for the study of other subjects, everything depends on the institution, which has the right to independently compose. But basically in cadet schools, preference is given to subjects such as mathematics, physics, and foreign languages.

Today there are cadet classes (in Moscow) for boys, for girls and mixed.

What also distinguishes these schools from others is that after the lessons are over, the cadets march in formationto the dining room, and after lunch they do not go home, as happens in ordinary schools, but for drill training. And the classes themselves are called a platoon, and the headman is called a commander. Afterwards, cadets begin additional courses, which include:

  • Shooting at a shooting range.
  • Dancing.
  • Military translator courses.
  • Sambo.

After which they are given the command “At ease, disperse.”This means that the children can return home. The little cadets return home no earlier than seven in the evening.

Already from the above it becomes clear that the program here is very difficult, and not every child can withstand such loads.

Among other things, platoons are divided into sections. And the most authoritative and disciplined cadets can becomeplatoon sergeant, and then squad commanders. The cadets have a special uniform, an official address and a motto: “God for the soul, life for the fatherland, duty for yourself, honor for no one.”

Should I send my child to cadet school?

Naturally, training in this mode is not suitable for everyone. And the point here is not even the workload of education itself, but the fact that in cadet schools children live like soldiers. They have 3 sets of uniforms, which exclude any manifestation of individual style. The cadets walk in formation everywhere; every day begins and ends with drill training.

Of course, each parent decides for himself whether his child needs such a disciplined way of life from childhood. It is a fact that cadet classes make children more responsible, more prepared for life. After studying in such schools, children can set a goal, plan and, following the intended goal, achieve the desired result.

The children themselves most often like this military way of life; they enjoy drill training and learn the basics of military service. And after a certain age it becomes part of their life and is perceived as something natural.

In fact, cadets are not only prepared for military life or the army, but also taught to be decent, disciplined, able to forgive and help those in need.

But there is another important point: parents need to remember that military education is a special type of thinking. And a child, having studied in this environment since childhood, may simply not get alongwith other children and even with your family. Therefore, cadet classes for girls are less popular than for boys.

But despite all this, every year the number of people wishing to get into cadet classes is growing and growing. Naturally, this is the desire of parents in most cases. And there is a reasonable explanation for this:

  • If parents have decided and want their child to receive and continue military education.
  • If parents want to raise a real man, a patriot.
  • If parents notice that their child is more disciplined, diligent, and in the class other children interfere with him and distract him.
  • And perhaps the most common case: a restless child who needs rigor and discipline is sent to cadet school. Such children are easily re-educated, and after that even parents are surprised at the positive changes in their children.

Why is their number growing so quickly?

Among all the advantages given above, it became clear why cadet classes have become so popular. The numbers speak for themselves: since 2014, cadet classes (St. Petersburg) have opened their doors to 50,000 future cadets.

Many people do not like the fact that only children with Moscow registration can study in Moscow cadet schools. But everyone likes the fact that education here is free. The parent only pays for the uniform.

And in recent years it has become popular, and after graduating from the cadet class, a child can easily enter a military school, and it will be much easier for him, since he is already accustomed to the regime and knows the basics of military affairs. More than 75% of students in cadet classes enter military schools and continue to build a career.

Despite the fact that the requirements here are very high, a cadet can still move to another class if he has any problems.

Whether or not to send a child to a cadet school is a purely personal matter, but one thing is most important. Before you decide to do anything, ask your child's opinion. Don't force him to do something he doesn't want, especially something he can't do.

The cadet corps is one of the general educational organizations created for the purpose of preparing children for military or other public service (Part 2 of Article 86 of the Law of December 29, 2012 N 273-FZ).

To enroll a child in the cadet corps, we recommend following the following algorithm.

Step 1. Select a cadet corps for admission

There are several types of cadet corps: cadet (naval cadet) military corps, cadet (naval cadet) corps and Cossack cadet corps. The first of them is created only at the federal level, the other two - at both the federal and regional levels. In this case, admission, for example, to the federal corps is carried out in the manner established by the federal government agencies in whose jurisdiction it is, in agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science (parts 3, 4 of article 86 of Law N 273-FZ; clause 1 of the Regulations, approved by the Resolution Government of the Russian Federation dated 06/03/2013 N 466; clause 2 of the Procedure, approved by Order of the FSB of Russia dated 02/03/2017 N 72; Instruction approved by Order of the FSB of Russia dated 05/20/2014 N 277).

When choosing a cadet corps, it is necessary to take into account the requirements for the age, level of education and health of the child. Thus, he can be admitted for admission if, based on the results of a medical examination, he is assigned to health status groups I or II. We also recommend studying the categories of persons who have preferential right to admission to study. These include, in particular, orphans and children left without parental care (Part 6, Article 86 of Law No. 273-FZ; Clause 13, Procedure, approved by Order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation dated July 21, 2014 No. 515 ).

Step 2. Prepare documents for admission to the cadet corps

To enroll a child in the cadet corps, as a rule, the following documents are required (clause 16 of Order No. 515):

1) application from parents (legal representatives) for admission to study;

2) the child’s personal statement;

3) a notarized copy of the birth certificate (for children over 14 years old - also a certified copy of pages 2, 3 and 5 of the passport);

4) autobiography of the child;

5) documents on academic performance for past periods of study, certified by the seal of the educational organization (copy of personal file, extract from the report card, pedagogical and psychological characteristics);

6) photographs of the appropriate format;

7) a copy of the compulsory health insurance policy and medical card;

8) a medical report confirming that the child belongs to a specific group for physical education;

9) an extract from the house register from the place of residence (registration);

10) certificate from the place of service (work) of parents (legal representatives);

11) documents confirming the priority right to admit the candidate (in particular, certified copies of the death certificate of the only or both parents).

Additionally, you can attach documents confirming the child’s achievements, for example, copies of certificates, diplomas, certificates of participation in various creative competitions, festivals, sports competitions and other documents characterizing his social, creative and sporting achievements (clause 16 of Order No. 515).

Step 3. Submit documents to the cadet corps and wait for their review

Depending on the departmental affiliation of the cadet corps, the deadlines and procedure for submitting documents for admission may vary. Thus, for educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the deadline is set from April 15 to June 1. Documents can be submitted to the cadet corps either in person or by mail (clause 16 of Order No. 515).

As a general rule, the admissions committee of the cadet corps considers applications with attached documents, creates personalized lists of candidates admitted to entrance examinations, and within the prescribed period sends a notice to parents (legal representatives) indicating the date and place of entrance examinations.

Parents (legal representatives) of candidates who are denied admission to entrance examinations are also sent a notice signed by the chairman of the admissions committee indicating the reasons for the refusal. If they disagree with the refusal, parents (legal representatives) can appeal (clause 19, Order No. 515).

Admission to the cadet corps is carried out based on the results of entrance tests. Most often these are exams in Russian, mathematics and foreign languages. The child’s psychological readiness to study in the cadet corps, the level of his physical fitness are also determined, and social, creative and sporting achievements are also assessed (clause 15 of Order No. 515).

The criteria for making a decision on admission or refusal to enroll in studies are established by the admission rules of a specific educational organization. For example, in cadet corps subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Defense, candidates are given a single score, which is entered into the entry test registration sheet and into the competitive list. Candidates who have a preferential right to admission, if their scores are equal with others, are included in the competitive list first (clause 24, Procedure No. 515).

Competitive lists of candidates are sent to the central selection committee by July 25, which prepares a draft order of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation on the enrollment of candidates and submits it for signature to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation. This order is posted on the official website of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Notification of the candidate's enrollment is sent to his parents (legal representatives) indicating the date of arrival at the cadet corps (clause 27 of Order No. 515).
