The “100 Desires” technique is an exercise for identifying desires and goals. You make a detailed wish list and choose the strongest ones from it. And then it’s easy for you to make a list of goals and priorities for the next month, six months and year.

After completing the “My 100 Desires” technique, perhaps for the first time, you will discover how versatile your interests are. See how contradictory your desires are: “Earn money for an apartment,” “Work 4 hours a week,” “Buy a BMW,” “Become an entrepreneur.” Without a plan - what to implement and in what sequence - it is difficult to coordinate everything and not end up in a dead end.



This exercise will help you make an internal decision about what is more important to you.: “Save money for a house” or “Travele around Asia and work a flexible schedule.” Often, people want both, but here they need to choose: adventure or saving money.

This exercise is very indicative for women and men who rarely fulfill their desires. After writing a list of 30–50 desires, their imagination is deflated and generates new desires with great strain. This suggests that they have forgotten how to desire. They rarely realize even simple dreams - their appetite is dulled. Exercise will help warm it up.


Getting ready to make a list

Find a comfortable place. Do not be distracted by sounds, active movement around, or obsessive thoughts. This could be a yoga and meditation room, a remote lawn in a park, a table in a quiet coffee shop, or a calm environment in the office.

For one and a half to two hours turn off your phone, close your laptop, be alone with yourself. You can turn on some nice music.

I like to write early in the morning, before breakfast.
I feel comfortable in silence. This is how honesty comes into play. By listening to my deepest desires, I understand what I really want.
I also choose my pen carefully. I love to have fun while recording.

And I only make a list in a cozy coffee shop.



If you're feeling down, meditate, make yourself some tea, and watch a movie. You can't wish for anything good in such a mood. In a state of stress, you will want to add the desire to “get rid of it” to the list - this is an unproductive motivation.

You need a state without fear, when the mind is clear and calm. Choose a day when you feel pleasant or inspired. Then you will pour out on paper your “desires K” for what you want to gain, and not get rid of. Motivation “K” is more productive and enjoyable.

How to write a list of 100 wishes

Take some sheets and a pen, write questions as a prompt:

  • What do I want to do?
  • What do I want to try?
  • What do I want to learn?
  • What are my material desires?
  • What do I want to change?

Write down your wishes, 20 answers to each question. If some item requires more or less answers, don’t worry. Accuracy is not a mandatory rule; it is more important to get into the flow and write what comes to mind and from the heart.

Put everything on the list as it goes, do not rank items by importance. If, after wishing “I want to plant a rose bush,” “I want to live in Australia for a year” comes to mind, that’s normal.


Don't be afraid to write stupid things. An absurd, but long-cherished desire came to mind - write! Have you ever wanted to stand on stilts and walk around the central square of your city? Be sure to put this on your hundred wish list.

Be honest with yourself.

One of the items on my wish list is: “I want to do an interview.” This is an arrogant desire. To give an interview, you need to be interesting to someone.

I honestly admit that my knowledge is not yet enough to say a new word, but I still want it. I am confident that this approach will help me achieve my goal.


After making your wish list, take a break. Exercise will not only bring together what you want, but will also discard what is unnecessary. The method is useful not only for girls; men and women do not need to be shy about writing their desires.

Go through what you wrote and next to each item put a score from 10 to 0, where:

  • 10 is an extremely important and exciting desire. An example is to pay off a monetary debt. You are tormented by debt, you sleep poorly and are nervous about it. You can give 10 points.
  • 0 – an insignificant desire, the implementation of which will not change life. Example - “I want an iPhone X instead of an iPhone 7.” While you wait to buy Model X, the next one will go on sale. Updating your gadget won't make your life better.

Desires with scores of 10 and 9 are the most important for you at this stage. Highlight them with a marker, write them down in a diary, or stick them on the refrigerator. Your wishlist/wishlist is ready.



There are specific desires, but difficult to fulfill. They also need to be written down, they summarize your desires, and you can see the main line of your development from them.

Repeat the 100 wishes exercise every year, preferably on the same days. The occasion could be New Year or a birthday.

I write down my wishes once every 3-6 months, usually upon arrival in a new country. Once I get used to it, see what I can do on the spot, I’ll make a list.

Save your 100 wishes. If not the original, then a digital version on your computer. After 6 months, review the list and cross off what has been completed. Come back to the list in another six months and cross them off again. Write out the remaining goals again, adding new desires.

Why do you need to practice 100 desires and goals?

Exercise gives impetus to development and self-realization. While your desires rest in your mind and not on paper, they seem unrealizable and disordered. Sometimes they are simply forgotten. After writing them, you will understand that there is nothing complicated.



Keeping goals in mind is not always practical. It is better to choose the 10 most important and remember them. Let the paper remember the rest. Use your memory for something else. And if you have nothing to give to paper, isn’t life too meager?

Six months from now, when you look at your 100 wishes, you will notice that many of them have come true. This means you are on the right path to happiness and self-realization.

On my list, the main goals are related to the development of this site. I write them down and remember them. 1. You can desire something only for yourself, but not for others

If you wish something for another person, then such wishes will not be fulfilled.

If you want another person to do something towards you, then the desire needs to be formulated not specifically about this person, but in general, in principle, what you want.

For example, “I want to marry a tall blond guy” will go better than “I want to marry Vasya Ivanov.” The last option is a love spell, so you can get the opposite effect. Therefore, state your desire as broadly as possible, based on what you ultimately want.

2. In what state to make a wish?

Yours internal state, in which you are at the moment of formulating your desire, directly affects the result.

There are two opposite states - “state of poverty” and “state of prosperity”. Depending on which one you are in, results will vary.

IN state of poverty a person lacks something and wants to “get” it from the outside. For example, a person lacks love in life and a person looks for it from the outside. He is looking for a person who will fill this “lack” of love.

IN state of prosperity a person feels that there is a lot of this inside him and he wants to share it with someone else. In the same example about love - a person feels so much love from within that he is overwhelmed and is ready to share with someone else.

We attract what is within us.

As you probably already understand, in a state of poverty we attract to ourselves the lack of what we want so badly - love, money, joy, happiness.

And in a state of prosperity, we attract to ourselves what we really want - love, money, joy, happiness, and so on.

Therefore, be careful in what state you make your wishes.

3. What kind of desire is this, or is there a difference between desire and desire?

Desires like safety, respect, love, recognition– cannot be found from the outside, they can be nurtured only within yourself. If you don’t feel these feelings for yourself, then you won’t find it from the outside, but will only aggravate the situation.

It often happens that a person does not even suspect what lies behind his “ordinary” desires like “I want more money!” “I want a new relationship!” “I want a new prestigious job!”

For example, if a person wants more money (which in itself, of course, is great!), but in fact he needs money in order to feel more secure (or to prove to someone or himself something - that I can, what is worthy, etc.), then such a desire is unlikely to be fulfilled in the form in which you want.

So when you make a wish, ask yourself: Is this what I really want? What do I really want? What do money, relationships, etc. mean to me? In fact?

Only the answer must be honest. You are answering for yourself.

4. The power of desire, or “Climb one peak!”

Need to focus on one thing(maximum 2-3 wishes) and send there a great flow of your energy. That is, think about it, take concrete steps to achieve it. Ask yourself the question: “What else can I do to make this happen?”

The more energy you put into your desire, the faster it will come true. You invest energy when you take actions, think, visualize your desire. Where you direct your energy is what shows up in your life.

If you have chosen a lot of desires at once and are trying to realize them all at once, then there will be a conflict between the desires, and there is clearly not enough energy for everything. 5. Limiting beliefs and fears

If your desire causes conflict within you, then it will NOT be realized easily and quickly.

Internal conflict can cause restrictions that prevent your desire from coming true.

What restrictions are there:

  • Don't know what I really want
  • I want to, but I do not believe that maybe I can do it
  • I want to, but still not ready to this (For example, create a long-term relationship with a man)
  • Hidden benefits: I want it, but I don’t want to lose something else that I’ll have to part with if my wish comes true(For example, I want to move to another country, but I don’t want to leave my parents and old friends)
  • Not your wishes, but you want something that others have (For example, a career, a car, excellent-study children, a husband, etc.)
  • First I have to do this, and only then will I have what I want. (For example, first I need to lose 5 kg, and only then I can meet a worthy man)

Need to deal with each limitation individually, understand its reasons and what it limits you from, understand why you don’t believe or are not ready, and what you really want. You need to compare two realities - you today and you in that reality where you already have it all, and draw a conclusion about what you really want, what is more important to you.

If you have I already had some bad experiences, connected with what you want, then old programs are turned on, for example, “I can’t do this,” “All men are ....”, here everyone has their own programs. They need to be identified and rewritten into positive ones that will positively set you up to get what you want.

if you have desire to change something outside(husband, child, boss, girlfriend), then such desires are not implemented. We cannot want something for another person. And if you are also struggling with something in another person, do not accept something in him, then you will encounter this more and more often, because by struggle you attract only struggle.

6. Focus on what is, not what isn't.

Many people focus on what they don't have rather than what they do have. “No money” “No work” “No love” But if we We constantly say that we don’t have this, then we won’t have it. The Universe hears our every word and fulfills it exactly.

So change your focus to what you already have and what you want even more.

To do this you need to learn give thanks for everything you have. Then there will be even more of this.

There is another extreme - many direct their attention to what cannot be controlled. If you can’t influence something, then you don’t need to put energy into it, think about it, worry about it, or try to fix it. Therefore, you need to be able to switch off from this.

7. Emotions are the fuel of desire energy

If you ask yourself the question more often “Why am I doing this?” it will become clearer whether you are getting closer to your dream or not. If you do something and want to get some reaction from others(to be praised, appreciated, supported, etc.), then most likely there will be the opposite effect.

This also brings us back to the discussion about the state of poverty (I do this to get what I don’t have - support, attention, to prove something to someone) and the state of prosperity (I do this for myself, but share it with others , because I know how to do it).

Often we sabotage ourselves when we expect favorable circumstances, and thereby delay the fulfillment of our desires: “Here when will I have such and such, then I'll do it!” (for example, “When I get married, or when I have a lot of money or something else, then I will be happy!”)

9. Believing that things will happen exactly the way you want them to!

Faith when you know for sure that THIS IS EXACTLY THE WAY EVERYTHING WILL BE. That is, the way you want. At the same time, you have inner peace and calmly expect this to happen. You don't know exactly when it will happen, but you know for sure that it will happen exactly like this or even better.

You can relax and just wait for it to happen. But you are sure that this will definitely happen. And therefore, you do not need to double-check and control the Universe for the fulfillment of your desire.

To reach this state, need to believe that this is exactly how everything will be, believe that you are worthy of it and not feel inside any of the limitations mentioned above.

Pay special attention to sensations in the body that arise when thinking about what you want.   5. Focus your attention on a specific reaction of the body and try to understand what are you reacting to? What caused your reaction?
  6. Is there any thought associated with this reaction? Perhaps there is some thought or belief going on in the background, try to clearly formulate it, verbatim.

This practice can be used to test any of your desires. If at the moment when you think about your desire, you imagine the end result, joy and happiness appear in your body, then your desire will easily be realized, the subconscious will arrange a favorable regime for you.

If there is an unpleasant reaction in the body(clamping, rattling, rapid heartbeat, cold, pain, etc.), then this indicates that you don't really want this and therefore this desire will not be realized.

Rule 3. The desire must have specific deadlines. If you are planning to buy a house, make renovations, buy a car, set aside an exact period or date. Example: “I am buying a car in September 2013.”

Rule 4. We write down the desire in the present tense.“I will buy a house” is the wrong wording. “I am buying a house in October 2013” ​​is correct.

Rule 5. Denial and doubt are prohibited! We avoid the particles “not” and the words “I’ll try.”
Some examples:

“I don’t want to smoke anymore” is not true, the correct thing would be: “I am becoming healthier every day by giving up bad habits».

Real life example: a young lady dreamed of a digital camera. In a magazine with photographs, she chose a model, wrote down all its characteristics in her desire and pasted in a photograph of the device. Rule 9. Visualization of what you want. Imagine your dream down to the smallest detail so that your wish comes true as accurately as possible.
