Radiesse. Contour plastic Radiesse (Radiesse)

Hi all!

So I was living my life, and suddenly I noticed that my face had become flat. The cheekbones completely disappeared, and the first signs of nasolabial folds became visible. I'm almost 35 years old! Do not confuse cheekbones and cheeks, these are 2 different parts of the body.

Where did my cheekbones go?

  1. Age: in our youth, everything is fine with our cheekbones, but the older we get, the lower our cheekbones sink. They slide from the top to the very bottom. End up hanging at the level lower jaw and neck.
  2. Low body fat. I love sports and watch my diet. I have a fairly low percentage of body fat after 2 births. And I continue to lose weight constantly.
  3. Heredity. Everything is clear here.

I love Instagram for its huge number of photos. And it was on Instagram that I noticed that “celebrities” my age and older had everything in order with their cheekbones. Soooo, I thought. How do they get them? I went to Google and found out everything.

It turns out that cheekbones can be filled with fillers. I didn’t think for a long time, I made an appointment with my doctor, who injected me with Botox (I have such experience).

So, among modern fillers, she recommended that I inject Radiesse, because it is calcium-based, which activates the production of the skin’s own collagen, that is, you can get both correction using the gel and care using calcium.

The price, of course, Radiesse surprised me. To have a truly visible effect, you need to inject 1.5 ml into the cheekbone - this is 260 euros multiplied by 2 (this is the price for the New Year's promotion, without the promotion it is 349 euros).

Seeing my surprise at the price, the doctor suggested that I distribute 1.5 ml into 2 cheekbones now, and come back in less than 3-6 months for the next 1.5 ml. The effect of such an injection will last longer, plus it will be able to better remove my asymmetry, which appears with age from the fact that we like to sleep on one side of the face more than the other.

I happily agreed!

So, the procedure itself is not long: first, an anesthetic cream is applied to the cheekbones, and after 7 minutes I give an anesthetic injection. The filler is distributed with a long needle: a puncture is made in the cheekbone and through it with a long needle they go throughout the entire area. There can be 3 such punctures. I had 1 (heals in 3 days). It all depends on the condition of the skin. There is practically no sensation that a long needle is moving under your skin, only where the painkiller has not reached (closer to the nose). But there are no unpleasant sensations.

After everything is over, the cheekbones become swollen, this is normal and the result is visible only after a couple of weeks, when the gel stands up well. Painful sensations in this area they last up to 1 week, that is, I lay face down on the pillow and felt discomfort there. A week later everything went away.

There is a visible effect from 1.5 ml of Radiesse, and you can feel the volume to the touch. Of course, these are not super big cheekbones, but they are a different shape. There is a bulge where the doge should be. The relief of the face has become different. Everything was flat before. Beauty to all!

Hello everyone, it's November 2017! I’m adding new photos to my review 11 months after 1 cheekbone correction with Radiesse filler and I added another 1.5 ml to the cheekbones and another 1.5 ml to the jawline.

A short story about how the year went: I was very pleased with my facial reflection until about September. All the filler that I had since 2016 has not yet worn off, some amount is still left. In September I began to see the asymmetry again: Right side The face differed from the left one in smaller volume, plus a pit-cavity appeared on it again.

A couple of weeks ago I went to a new cosmetologist and asked him to inject 3 ml of Radiesse filler into my cheekbones to remove the asymmetry. He advised me to pay attention to my jawline, which is losing tone (I never even thought about it) and needs support with filler. After long conversations, we agreed that he would inject 1.5 ml into my cheeks and cheekbones to remove asymmetry and 1.5 ml into my jawline. He really didn’t advise me to get carried away with pumping up my cheekbones, as it would not look natural in my case.

The drug Radiesse will help; it was first approved in the USA in 1995 as a completely safe cosmetic product. Then in 2003 it began to be used in the EU for lack of soft tissue on the face or other parts of the body. This beauty injection has become widely used for restorative and plastic surgery, and it can be administered both superficially and deeply.

Features of Radiesse

Radiesse represents injectable drug, which, after being introduced under the skin, provides a long-lasting effect; its effect can last from 12 to 18 months. After its introduction, the missing volume under the skin is immediately replenished, thereby smoothing out wrinkles. The drug also promotes collagen production, thereby prolonging the effect of using such an injection. With the help of Radiesse, the following age-related nuances are eliminated:

  • correction of nasolabial folds is carried out;
  • tissue deficiency on the face is restored.

The popularity of the drug is growing every year, after more than 200 clinical trials it has been found to be truly safe and guarantees high efficiency after use.

It is produced by the company Merz Aesthetics, which last year sold more than 6 million syringes with it.

A specialist will tell you more about Radiesse in the video below:

Price

The cost of the drug is lower than any, even minor plastic surgery; the final price is influenced by the selected injection volume. Basically, one injection will be enough for the nasolabial folds, but sunken cheeks will need to be restored with two injections.

One such injection costs about 20 thousand rubles. And since it must be carried out in specialized clinic, then it is necessary to take into account the costs of consulting a doctor and his work.

Compound

By using Radiesse injections, you don’t have to think about using implants. The formula of the drug was developed by specialists from the BioFormMedical company; it is quite simple and consists of only two components:

  1. special gel;
  2. calcium hydroxyapatite.

Calcium microspheres occupy 30% of the volume, the rest is filled by the gel. It is this composition that allows, immediately after injection, to create the effect of filling sunken areas of the face and stimulates the return of the natural contours of the oval. When the gel dissolves, new tissue forms in its place.

Release form

Radiesse comes in a special syringe with a thin needle. Packaging: cardboard box.

    No matter how much we take care of our skin, no matter how hard we try to maintain youth, over the years the face shows its age more and more: folds appear, features become less clear, subtle wrinkles become more and more noticeable. However, cosmetology also does not stand still, finding new safe methods fight the signs of aging. And if for a long time the most effective way To restore youth through plastic surgery, today more gentle solutions are offered. For example, the non-surgical facelift method has become very popular among patients. with Radiesse(Radiesse) – this filler has been used in cosmetology for a little over ten years, but during this time it has received many grateful reviews. Its main advantage is safety and painlessness.

    Capabilities and composition of Radiesse

    Radiesse filler is an injectable preparation that allows for non-surgical lifting and long-term correction of wrinkles - from 14 months or longer. It contains microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA), a mineral with characteristics similar to the composition of human teeth and bones. Therefore, Radiesse differs from other fillers in its 100% biological compatibility, which means it does not cause rejection and allergic reactions. The CaHA carrier is a special biodegradable gel that can be completely absorbed and excreted from the body after just a few months, which makes way for the formation of new tissue. CaHA microspheres also degrade over time. The long-term effect of the drug is ensured by the implant being located under the skin, as well as by the possibility of developing the patient’s own tissue.

    A non-surgical facelift allows you to:

    • correct nasolabial and other moderate and severe folds on the face;
    • change the shape of the chin and cheeks;
    • tighten soft facial tissues;
    • eliminate tissue volume deficit in the facial area (for example, with lipodystrophy);
    • tighten the oval of the face and remove jowls;
    • raise the cheekbone line.

    Benefits of the procedure

    • Injections of the drug do not cause rejection or side effects.
    • CaHA microspheres do not migrate.
    • The injected material is not encapsulating.
    • The tissue at the implant site retains its structure.
    • The procedure is painless, there is no swelling after injection.
    • Giving the face a more youthful appearance, the drug does not affect facial activity.

    Features without surgical lift

    The administration of Radiesse injections is permitted only to qualified professionals who have been trained and certified to work with this drug. This is very important due to the fact that the drug has a long-term effect and errors during its administration are unacceptable.

    The doctor determines required dosage and injection points. An antiseptic is applied to the treated area to eliminate possible painful sensations, and then Radiesse is injected into problem areas. The video will give you a more in-depth look at how the session works.

    The procedure time depends on the total number of injections. It usually takes 30–60 minutes. The filler acts very quickly, and the initial result can be assessed immediately after administration of the drug. But the maximum visible effect appears after about a month. New injections should not be given at this time as this may cause excessive tissue enlargement at the treatment site. Additional Radiesse injections are possible no earlier than two months after the first session.

    Another undoubted advantage of this method is the absence rehabilitation period– after the session the patient can immediately conduct usual image life. The only restriction: in the first 7 days, sports, sunbathing and visiting the sauna are undesirable. Appearing in in rare cases swelling and swelling disappear within 1–2 days after administration; complications of another kind are extremely rare in medical sources and are more likely associated with infectious diseases, available to the patient, than with the effects of the drug.

    Contraindications

    Radiesse is a non-toxic and completely biocompatible filler, and over many years of practice of its use, no serious allergic reactions or cases of individual intolerance to the drug have been observed.

    However, if there is a bleeding disorder, infections and inflammation in the treated area, any diseases in acute stage, during pregnancy and lactation the use of this procedure is contraindicated. In addition, the drug should not be administered:

    • people prone to inflammatory skin reactions or hypertrophic scars;
    • if the patient has liquid silicone or other foreign bodies at the injection site;
    • patients with systemic disorders leading to tissue damage over the implant or poor wound healing;

    How much does Radiesse cost?

    Many women are willing to pay a lot of money for their youth and beauty, go under the surgeon’s knife, and undergo painful and unpleasant procedures. And at the same time, there is a completely affordable alternative - painless and safe injections with Radiesse, the price of which may be significantly lower compared to other similar methods, given the long-term results. The cost of the procedure depends on the number of injections, the volume of the syringe and the level of the clinic and ranges from 4,000 to 26,000 rubles.

    Non-surgical facelift using Radiesse injections: reviews for and against

    Tatyana: “After the session I had a little swelling, but the next morning it disappeared, the bruises went away within 3-4 days. I mainly corrected the corners of the mouth and nasolabial folds and quite a bit on the cheeks and chin. I was immediately pleased with the result, but now, when a month has passed, I see that the effect is simply amazing - I look ten years younger.”
    Galina: “I did radise six months ago, and I can tell you about the result. The nasolabial folds smoothed out, the cheeks that were hanging “sadly” became elastic, the face tightened. At first, to be honest, I didn’t like it at all - I was all swollen in the places where the injections were given, although the doctor assured me that nothing like that would happen, and said that this filler did not cause any complications in any of his patients. It passed, of course, quite quickly, but it would have been better to have been warned - at least I would have been prepared. As for pain, it didn’t hurt at all.”
    Daria: “A month and a half ago I went to Radiesse at one clinic - the bruises and swelling did not go away the whole week after the injections, and my face still hurt whole month, and then you touch it a little – it already hurts. The effect was barely noticeable at first (even though two syringes were injected), and then it completely disappeared, it even got worse, and the procedure is not cheap at all.”
    Marina: “I chose Radiesse because its main component (calcium hydroxyapatite) forces the skin to produce its own collagen, and thanks to this, the effect of the procedure lasts up to 2 years. Before that, I took injections with hyaluronic acid several times, they were “enough” for six months at most. The difference is obvious, and I give preference to Radiesse - the composition of this drug is compatible with biological tissues of the body, and, as I have seen from my own experience, does not cause complications. I think that the drug is my concern for my own future. I had already begun to experience slight ptosis, and the main task was to tighten the contour. The procedure was performed by a cosmetologist I knew, so I paid much less than I could have paid elsewhere: only 9.5 thousand rubles. per syringe 0.8 ml (in a regular clinic it would cost 15 thousand). One syringe was enough for me on the cheeks and nasolabial area. Of course, if the problems are more severe than mine, a larger volume will be needed. But, as the cosmetologist told me, the main thing is not to overdo it. It only hurt when the drug was administered, but it was quite tolerable, although an anesthetic cream was applied before the injections. After injections no side effects Moreover, there were no allergies. The only thing was that my face was a little swollen, and the bruises lasted about two weeks. But after 3 weeks, when everything finally went away, I saw my young face– a clear contour, the skin tightened, the folds of the cheekbones disappeared, no lifting can tighten it up like that!”

    The drug Radiesse is used for injections in cosmetology. The basis of the product is calcium hydroxyapatite. This substance is used in cosmetology to remove wrinkles and increase soft tissues.

    Video - Using Radiesse: when and who needs injections

    About the drug

    Hydroxyapatite is a natural component of bone tissue. Therefore, a filler made on the basis of this substance is fully compatible with human body and does not cause him rejection. Radiesse was originally developed to restore tissue from AIDS patients. Then it began to be widely used in urology, surgery and dentistry.

    The drug is produced by an American pharmaceutical company. The main advantages of Radiesse are that it works like a typical filler, immediately after injections. The drug fills empty areas under the skin, which increases volume. After 2-3 weeks, the body begins to stimulate the formation of collagen fibers. The effect remains long time.

    Indications for use

    Radiesse (reviews about the drug are mostly positive) is used to work with changes that occur with age. Some parts of the face can be given additional volume. With the help of the drug, facial correction is performed, scars are eliminated.

    After the procedure with Radiesse (before and after can be compared in photographs), folds and wrinkles of any depth are significantly reduced. The shape of the cheekbones, cheeks, tip of the nose and chin is noticeably corrected. In those parts of the body where there is not enough soft tissue, the drug helps fill the subcutaneous hollow areas. Very good results are obtained on the back of the hands.

    Radiesse (there is a photo of the effect after the procedures in this article) is recommended by many cosmetologists mainly for two reasons. The first is to activate the production of new collagen fibers. Moreover, the drug gradually dissolves on its own. The vacated areas are automatically filled with natural collagen produced by the body.

    The second reason why cosmetologists recommend using Radiesse is that the results after sessions are almost instant. The filler immediately fills the subcutaneous voids, which immediately adds volume to the desired area. Moreover, the effect then persists for a year.

    Executing the procedure

    In order to evaluate how Radiesse works, it is better to take before and after photos so that you can compare the results with your own eyes. Injections should only be carried out in beauty salons and clinics, professionals. Before injections with Radiesse, the area of influence of the drug and its dosage are determined. This is very important, since not only is it preserved for a long time positive effect, but that's all Negative consequences from an incorrectly performed procedure. Therefore, it is better not to do independent sessions.

    To prevent possible pain, anesthetic ointment is applied to the area to be treated. Afterwards the drug administration begins. The duration of the procedure is from 10-40 minutes. The time depends on the size of the treated area and the number of injections. Facial correction is often carried out using the vector lifting method; Radiesse is used as an injectable filler.

    Before the procedure you must undergo full examination for the presence of contraindications: poor blood clotting, chronic and acute pathologies, diseases of cardio-vascular system etc.

    Features of using the drug

    Applications of Radiesse

    It is better not to perform procedures with Radiesse to remove small wrinkles. The filler has quite thick consistency and because of this, bumps and bumps can form under the skin. The drug is used with great caution for the area under the eyes. In these places, the tissues are not only very thin, but also super sensitive. Therefore, for administration you will need a drug with a thinner consistency than Radiesse.

    Otherwise, the treated area may become covered with hematomas, swelling and bumps. The risk of this complication is very high. The negative consequences will last for several months. Radiesse filler should also be used with caution for nose correction. Since this area is a stationary zone, the effect of the drug can last up to two years.

    Radiesse (according to cosmetologists) is not recommended for use by people over 35 years of age. For younger skin, on the contrary, the drug will be very effective and useful. Lip augmentation injections are not performed. For this, it is best to use fillers made from hyaluronic acid.

    Before agreeing to a lifting procedure with Radiesse, you need to check whether the cosmetologist has a certificate confirming his qualifications. Changes after the session will be visible immediately, but the optimal result occurs only a month after the end of the procedure. At this time, additional injections are not required. After a second session, the results will last up to one and a half years.

    The face is well corrected using Radiesse on the cheekbones (before and after photos are in this article). This contour plastic surgery gives long lasting result, since the drug has excellent viscosity. Thanks to this, the contours of the cheekbones can be easily corrected with Radiesse (a photo of the result is in this article). At the same time, everything is easily taken into account anatomical features. As a result, the face looks very natural. The use of Radiesse on the cheekbones is considered one of the most optimal options.

    Contraindications

    The drug has proven itself as a biocompatible and non-toxic filler. It has been used for 10 years. During this long period there were no severe complications if the procedure was carried out correctly. Contraindications may include individual intolerance to the drug or allergic reactions.

    In rare cases, when using Radiesse, complications manifested themselves in the form of granulomas. But such negative consequences are a consequence of infection. Contraindications include the presence of any skin pathologies, and them acute forms. The procedure cannot be performed if the patient has poor blood clotting. Contraindications also include pregnancy and period breastfeeding. It is not recommended to give injections in the presence of inflammatory diseases.

    Rehabilitation period

If the procedure is carried out on the eve of any event (wedding, anniversary, etc.), then to be on the safe side, injections are best done 10 days before the celebration. Severe hematomas most often occur in people over 60 years of age.

    After the procedure, ice packs are applied to the treated area as often as possible for two days. Do not take medications that thin the blood: Aspirin, Motrin, Naproxen, etc. Patients abstain from using fish oil, vitamin E, alcoholic beverages and fatty acids.

    On the first day after the procedure, it is forbidden to apply it to the face. cosmetical tools, including decorative ones. Otherwise, you may get a bacterial infection.

    Straight lines must be avoided sun rays, and if going outside is necessary, you need to cover your face with wide-brimmed hats and your eyes with tinted glasses.

    After using Radiesse, patient reviews sometimes indicate the appearance of bumps and bumps that do not go away for a long time and cause discomfort. It is not possible to remove them, like many other drugs, using antidotes. There is no such solvent for Radiesse yet. There are only two options left - wait for the drug to wear off or contact a surgeon.

    Cost of the drug

    Radiesse can be purchased with a prescription or in specialized salons and clinics. The cost of filler may vary depending on the region and place of sale (online stores, direct purchases).
