Holidays in a sanatorium with children: pros and cons. “Silver Age” program

A sanatorium-resort holiday is the best alternative to ordinary “beach” travel. This therapy recharges the body with health, increases immune resistance and perfectly relieves stress. Another question is, should you take your child with you? Let's highlight the pros and cons.

Minuses

It is believed that what smaller child, the more trouble it will be. On many forums they even write: “After such a rest, you will need another rest.” What is the reason?

  • Not all children adapt equally well to a new place and unfamiliar people.
  • Many kids have difficulty with traveling. Therefore, if a child cries even on short trips and is not particularly drawn to strangers, it is better to postpone the trip for a couple of years.
  • Let's say that you decide to travel with your child. Be prepared for the fact that he will need your time and attention more than usual. In addition, you will have to avoid long and difficult excursions - they are simply not designed for small children.

pros

  • A sanatorium stay will definitely benefit your baby’s health, especially if your child catches colds very easily. After one month in a sanatorium, most people do not get sick for 8-10 months. Such therapy will increase the body's resources and save on doctors and medications.
  • The child will receive new experiences that will have a good effect on the speed of his development.
  • In sanatoriums family type there are a lot of kids, so your child will definitely not get bored and will quickly find new friends.
  • If the mother works, and the child goes to the garden or sits with the grandmother, then a joint vacation is simply necessary. It will greatly strengthen relationships and unite the whole family.
  • Many Russian sanatoriums operate the “Mother and Child” program. Under this program, any parent or legal representative once a year you can undergo free sanatorium treatment with your child. We will tell you more about this below.
  • There are many more obvious advantages than disadvantages. Therefore, if a child tolerates the journey and a new environment without stress, then there is no reason not to take him with you.

Doctors are unanimous that Fresh air, healing procedures and new experiences strengthen the child’s nervous system and immunity. Sanatorium treatment healthy healthy kids as therapy and simply necessary for children who are often sick. However, pediatricians and psychologists believe that it is better to take a child on such a vacation after 4 years. And the most important thing is not to send your child immediately after the sanatorium to school or kindergarten. Remember that your baby needs time to adapt to normal life.

What to consider

Before we look at the organizational nuances, let the child answer the most main question- Does he want to go to a sanatorium? The success of the trip largely depends on this. It is important that the child perceives this rest as a bonus, and not as a duty, then there will be fewer whims.

If your baby really wants to keep you company, pay attention to the next point - how does he handle the road? If you are traveling from Moscow to the Moscow region, then special problems there shouldn't be. However, if you have to travel south, then you should think again. A capricious and exhausted child is not at all conducive to a good rest.

Then make a list of suitable resorts. To ensure that your vacation goes without “surprises” and is as comfortable as possible, call the sanatoriums and ask next questions:

  • do they accept adults with children,
  • if yes, is there an age limit,
  • what procedures are there for babies,
  • Do the sanatorium have nannies, children's rooms, animators, hobby groups,
  • Are there children's playgrounds on site?
  • Is there a children's time in the pool (if, of course, you plan to take your baby to the pool),
  • Are there high chairs for feeding children in the dining rooms?
  • what kind of food is provided for children and is it possible to choose a menu?

At what age can you take a child to a sanatorium?

On thematic forums, mothers express different opinions.

From 0 to 3 years

Some say that you can safely take your child with you from birth. However, not everyone shares their position and there are two reasons for this.

Not all sanatoriums allow you to take babies with you - they simply don’t have the necessary conditions for them.

If a child is restless, then his crying can exhaust those around him. As a result, neither you nor your neighbors in the building will have a rest.

Have you decided to take a baby yet? To help you get the most out of this getaway, consider bringing a nanny or grandma along.

From 3 to 6 years

Both mothers and pediatricians call this age the most suitable for taking a child to a sanatorium. At 3-4 years old, a child easily finds contact with adults and peers. Plus, at this age he adapts more easily and does not require special care from adults.

So, now you have a complete understanding of whether it is worth taking your child to a sanatorium. And if so, which one and what needs to be provided for? Let your decision be informed and your vacation successful!

Especially for the older generation (age 55+), we offer a unique sanatorium and resort program “Silver Age”, developed by our company back in 2009-2010 and implemented on the basis of the sanatorium "Knowledge", Sochi resort since 2011. Currently, the program operates in 7 health resorts of the Sochi resort.

Silver age

What are the benefits of this offer?

Firstly, this is a truly specialized program that takes into account the characteristics of the body of people in adulthood. It's running a little slower now metabolic processes in organism. It is no longer possible to prescribe too many serious procedures during the day that strain the heart and other organs. And the very fact of being in one’s own circle already has a very beneficial effect on the guests of the resort.
Secondly, special, especially favorable prices– from 1600 rubles per day per person!
This price includes accommodation in a standard double room, three meals a day with the possibility of consultation with a nutritionist, use of a swimming pool, diagnostics and treatment procedures (usually no more than three procedures per day).

What does a guest receive as a result of the Silver Age program?

Many years of experience show that people who have visited sanatoriums under the “Silver Age” program have significantly improved general health, rises vitality. It becomes easier to wake up in the morning at a more early time(sometimes a person begins to get up an hour or an hour and a half earlier than usual). More strength and energy appears in daytime and towards evening. The quality of sleep improves.
Of course, during their stay at the sanatorium, the guest gets the opportunity to correct the most problematic areas in his body. Traditionally, the Sochi resort treats such types of diseases as problems of the cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, and nervous system. But most health resorts also have doctors on their staff - narrow specialists. For example: ENT, endocrinologist, gastroentorologist, dermatologist, psychologist, acupuncturist, etc., although consultations with these doctors are not always included in the list of services provided under the “Silver Age” program. We recommend checking this when booking your tours!

Why do the vast majority of guests come again and again?

The fact is that according to the “Silver Age” program, guests of health resorts not only get the opportunity to have a good rest and improve their health at the most favorable period at the resort (this is from October to May inclusive), but also fall into special environment, where you can spend time comfortably, meet new acquaintances, and go on new interesting excursions. Guests especially appreciate the opportunity to rethink the most important aspects their lives – are actively interested in the project “From the age of survival to the age of happiness!” and the “Gathering of People’s Universities” forum, discover new meanings of adulthood.
Young people from 25 to 50 years old are actively buying “Silver Age” vouchers as gifts for their parents!

This trend has especially begun to develop well in the last 4-5 years. And more and more young people are coming to the conclusion that health is what best gift, which you can and should do for your parents and/or grandparents.

Considering the very affordable prices, approximately from 9.5 to 14 thousand rubles for a week of rest and treatment, “Silver Age” vouchers have become a popular gift among people from various regions of Russia. By the way, for themselves and for their loved ones, those who are not yet 55 years old can purchase effective programs“Anti-stress”, which easily eliminates the problems of difficult awakening in the morning, lack of energy during the day and chronic fatigue in the evenings…

Important!

1. The period of arrival under the “Silver Age” program is at least 7 days. Our experts recommend that older people come for a period of 12-14 days in order to calmly go through the acclimatization period and gently enter the treatment program.

2. The volume of procedures under the “Silver Age” program is slightly less than in the standard one sanatorium-resort voucher. This is due to the fact that most mature guests do not need to put a lot of stress on the body and, secondly, this allows you to significantly reduce the price of a trip. If necessary, obtain additional procedures, you can always get them with a doctor’s prescription directly at the sanatorium.

3. A visit to Matsesta is also not included in the “Silver Age” package (many contraindications).

4. It is advisable to have with you health resort card or fresh diagnostic results of the body. This will allow the sanatorium doctors to make more informed decisions when prescribing procedures.

Book in advance!

Due to the huge demand for trips under the “Silver Age” program, our experts recommend booking places in advance - preferably six months before the arrival date, and even earlier for April and October. In this case, you get the opportunity to choose convenient dates and get the best price.

You can find out more and book a trip under the “Silver Age” program by calling.

The beach season at Russian resorts is over. Off-season and winter months - best time for relaxation in sanatoriums. Warm mud, pleasant massages with oils, mineral waters and baths - the whole arsenal healing powers nature at your service. When deciding whether to go or not, our tourists are often guided by the stereotypes that have developed around the sanatorium and resort sector. Moreover, many of them have long been untrue, but for some reason they are extremely tenacious.

Myth No. 1: Nothing hurts me, so the sanatorium is not for me

It's good that you feel great now. Being healthy is a basic human need. By at least, this is how it was defined by the famous American psychologist Abraham Maslow, who developed the theory of human motivation. In his opinion, all other desires and goals, such as starting a family or professional fulfillment, are based on feeling good and absence of physical discomfort.
Back in Soviet times, it was proven that a trip to a sanatorium reduces the incidence of illness, including ARVI and the most common cold, by 2-3 times during the year. That is, spa treatment is an excellent preventive measure that will allow you to avoid doctors for many years to come. It will be worse when diseases, chronic or hereditary, make themselves known with age. Then your treatment is unlikely to be limited to just a trip to the sanatorium.

Myth No. 2: Vacation packages to sanatoriums are very expensive

Let's figure it out. Accommodation in a one-room double standard room, for example, in the Narzanov Valley sanatorium in the city of Essentuki, in November and December costs 4,180 rubles per day. Thus, a week's holiday with four meals a day, spa treatment And entertainment program will cost 29,260 rubles.
You will be able to swim in the pool every day, exercise physical therapy And health walking. Take three times a day mineral water, once each - an oxygen cocktail and herbal tea. If prescribed by a doctor, you will have access to speleotherapy (inhalations), balneotherapy ( mineral baths), hydrotherapy (baths and showers), mud therapy, a full range of hardware physiotherapy (darsonvalization, ultrasound, magnetic therapy, etc.), all kinds of massages. Well, don’t the prices seem too high to you now?! Now calculate what amounts you leave in medical centers and pharmacies throughout the year. Even the treatment of the simplest runny nose and cough now costs a pretty penny. Not counting the time spent, and sometimes money, on visits to doctors and diagnostic procedures. We understand that not everyone can afford to spend this amount. Therefore, for the least protected citizens, for example, pensioners, we have special promotions and discounts.

Myth No. 3: I only have a vacation once a year, and I just want to relax and not be nervous about injections and other procedures.

Modern health resorts are not hospitals; there are no injections, pills or medicines here. The principles of spa treatment are based on the use of exclusively natural healing factors. Most procedures are not only effective, but also very pleasant: baths, showers, different kinds massage, thermal procedures, water aerobics, Nordic walking, health path, etc. Add here all kinds of SPA treatments that are presented in many sanatoriums today. In objects located on Black Sea coast, you will definitely be offered thalassotherapy, and in the Kavminvoda region treatment is impossible without mud applications and wraps, carbon dioxide-mineral baths. Well, isn’t this the kind of vacation many people dream of?!

Myth No. 4: I have no one to leave my children with if I go to a sanatorium

Take them with you! Most health resorts accept families with children, starting from infancy. True, medical procedures are available to children only from 4 years old. When placing guests from 2 to 4 years old you will receive a discount of up to 80% of the cost of the tour, from 4 to 7 years - up to 50%. If the guys don’t want to be treated, that’s not a problem either. Most sanatoriums have children's rooms with teachers, animation programs have been developed, and entertainment events are held for all ages.

Myth No. 5: Preparing a health resort card takes a lot of time, but I don’t have it

A sanatorium-resort card is necessary to select an individual course for you, taking into account physiological characteristics and the needs of the body. Only in this case, treatment at the health resort will be as effective as possible.
If you regularly undergo examinations, filling out the card does not require much time. Most of the lines can be filled out by your local therapist without the involvement of highly specialized specialists.
IN as a last resort, you can apply for a sanatorium-resort card right on the spot when checking into the health resort. As a rule, they have everything necessary to take tests, conduct diagnostic measures and issue a conclusion. True, treatment in this case will begin 1-2 days later.

Myth No. 6: Our sanatoriums are something from Soviet times: the food is so-so, and the equipment is not modern, so it’s better to go abroad

To be fair, it is worth noting that European specialists adopted a lot from the Soviet sanatorium-resort model. In the 90s, foreign doctors began to come to our country in groups. They visited health resorts and recorded in as much detail as possible the stories of doctors, who were happy to share their own experiences. And today many Soviet achievements are already European system restorative medicine.
Indeed, there was a moment when the infrastructure of domestic sanatoriums, experiencing a shortage of clients and investments, began to decline. But times have changed. And already in the early 2000s, accommodation facilities found the strength and means to update. New modern equipment was purchased. And I must say that today some of our health resorts are equipped no worse than serious diagnostic clinics.

Myth No. 7: My neighbor goes to a sanatorium every year, but he doesn’t look any better.

There are three components to success. Firstly, treatment must be selected individually after a full diagnosis and identification of the causes of the disease. Secondly, you should use the services of only those specialists whose authority you do not doubt. And, of course, you should choose the sanatorium that suits your profile. This is the third. There is nothing to do with diseases, for example, of the gastrointestinal tract in health centers that specialize in the recovery of patients after injuries. Often, effectiveness depends on the duration of treatment. The full course lasts 21 days. At least 14 days. During this time, the first exacerbations, inevitable on the path to recovery, recede, and the body begins to work in a new way. Also keep in mind that in addition to classic programs, each resort offers specialized systems, allowing you to fight illnesses purposefully.

Myth No. 8: When I retire, then I’ll go to sanatoriums

The sooner you start taking care of yourself, the better your chances of entering your golden age in full health. And then, instead of sitting in clinics and going to doctors, you will be able to travel the world, spend quality time with your family, and, finally, devote yourself to what you love rather than what is necessary. Take a look at European retirees. Many of them seriously consider this the best time of their lives. And all because the healthcare system is built in such a way that citizens are more involved in the prevention of diseases rather than the actual treatment. Come on, let's make it a rule to not wait alarms from the body, think about it in advance.

22 thousand people have already submitted applications for participation: Zelenograd was the first

Moscow has begun accepting applications from pensioners to participate in a program dedicated to physical and creative improvement. “As a result of the implementation of this significant complex project, which will develop over more than one day, more than one month, we really must create a large-scale infrastructure and system for the elderly, for people of the older generation. As a result, the city should become kinder, more soulful, more open,” said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

On March 1, all interested elderly people can submit an application at any territorial center social services and choose an activity to suit your taste.

The project has just started, and Muscovites are already showing great interest in it. As the head of the Department of Labor and social protection Vladimir Petrosyan, local residents began submitting applications in advance - and more than 22 thousand people have already expressed their desire to take part in the program. The most active was the Eastern administrative District, more than eight thousand pensioners have already responded there. This means that the project turned out to be truly in demand and necessary. Those who have not yet decided, still have time to think: registration is open throughout the year. Joining the project is very simple: you need to come to the nearest territorial social service center with a passport, a Muscovite social card and SNILS.

Any Muscovite (person permanently registered in Moscow) of retirement age can take part: women over 55 and men over 60. You do not need to have any prior preparation, except that participation in some classes may be limited for health reasons.

“For older people, personal communication is very important. Often they come to an appointment just to talk. Therefore, first of all, we invite them to our place in order to personally tell the person how he can change his lifestyle. It is important for us not to lose people. So that every citizen who has shown interest in this project will be included in it,” notes Petrosyan.

This is the goal of the project - to involve older citizens in active life, show them that retirement is just the beginning. For this purpose, classes will be organized in three areas. Arts and crafts, singing and dancing classes will be held in the creative laboratories. As part of the sports program, pensioners will be able to practice Nordic walking, gymnastics, and also take the “Living Healthy” course, where doctors will tell you how to eat properly and take care of your health. And of course, there will be training sessions - courses in English and computer literacy, checkers, chess and other games. In general, for the mind, and for the body, and for the soul. Any pensioner will be able to choose courses to suit their taste and, most importantly, enjoy spending time and communicating with friends. And also demonstrate your successes at city competitions and festivals, for example “Supergrandmother” and “Supergrandfather”, in the dance marathon “Vozrast.net”.

In our country, unfortunately, older people at some point found themselves without attention, completely abandoned. They have disappeared from the streets, you will no longer see them in cafes and restaurants. And this is wrong. This should not be the case so that only those between 20 and 35 years old are considered in demand. Life has changed so much that the older generation can give a head start to the younger ones and teach a lot,” says Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Oleshko. - In addition, it is important to unite people in groups. Many people would like to visit exhibitions and theaters, but they feel uncomfortable alone. And having united, they could, for example, go to the theater, and then get together and discuss the production, they would be told about the actors, directors...

By the way, the project started in Zelenograd a month ago! The organizers noticed that the most popular among the participants were yoga, aerobics, fitness, Nordic walking (this is called pensioners! They will definitely give young people a head start), as well as computer literacy and English courses. Since February 1, 800 people have already been training.

“I can say with confidence that people are very interested in the program. In Zelenograd alone, more than 2,300 residents applied to territorial social service centers with applications to participate in the pilot project, which provides training for pensioners,” said the head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection.

Most sanatoriums accept children for treatment from the age of four. In rare sanatoriums, children are accepted from the age of two or three; usually these are specialized children's sanatoriums or sanatoriums located in children's resorts. There are a number of sanatoriums in which children are prescribed treatment from 12 and even 14 years of age.

Why don’t they take children under 4 years of age for treatment?

Adult sanatoriums, as a rule, do not have equipment for treating small children. Most showers and bathtubs are simply not the right size for a child. Serious procedures (for example, mud therapy) are contraindicated for children under 4 years of age. In fact, an adult sanatorium can offer children swimming in the pool, inhalations, and for example salt room, if available in the sanatorium. In addition, children do not yet know how to control their emotions and create a lot of noise, which sometimes disturbs adult vacationers. Therefore, sanatoriums do not strive to ensure that they have a rest a large number of little kids.

Will a small child be admitted to a sanatorium without treatment?

Most sanatoriums accept children under 4 years of age for rest and without treatment. If a child is traveling with one adult, and this adult needs treatment, you must definitely think about who you will leave the child with during the procedure. Be sure to check whether the sanatorium has a children's room, but keep in mind that a child can be left without parents in the children's room only from the age of 3.

What is the Mother and Child program?

The “mother and child” program is aimed at treating and improving the health of adults and children. This program provides treatment for both mother and child. A trip under the “Mother and Child” program will cost less than regular trip. Despite the fact that the program is called “Mother and Child,” another relative of the child (for example, father or grandmother) can go to the sanatorium under this program.
