Increased excitability of the nervous system symptoms. The effect of inhibition of the nervous system

Nowadays, even the most seasoned people often lose their nerves. Gradually, irritability builds up. We involuntarily break down either in the family or at work, in a crowded transport, in queues exhausting the soul. We swear to a nervous breakdown, we can’t calm down for a long time. We begin to suffer from oppressive melancholy, unreasonable headaches, heavy sleep with nightmares, or, conversely, debilitating insomnia.

Undoubtedly, low level life and the state of our nervous system are closely interconnected. And yet, with a reasonable approach to one's health, one can alleviate and even negate the severity of stressful blows, protect the exposed nerves with long-tried therapeutic agents among the people.

Let me remind you that one of these most popular remedies is valerian with its unique ability to gently, without causing any harm to the body, calm and heal the nervous system. In pharmacies, now you can’t always find alcohol and ether tinctures, dry extract tablets or other valerian preparations. Therefore, if necessary, you can prepare the medicine yourself.

There are many recipes. In some reference books, it is recommended to put a teaspoon of crushed roots in a glass of boiling water, in others - one or even two tablespoons for the same amount of water. Some experts advise boiling for 15 minutes, others convince that you just need to pour boiling water over it and leave for 2 hours. Strict rules reception also does not exist: from 1 tablespoon to half a glass of infusion or decoction. But there is one general rule: valerian should not be used occasionally, but systematically and for a long time, since its therapeutic effect develops slowly. After one and a half to two months, you need to take a break.

I have my own favorite way to prepare valerian, which is very effective. To sense the roots in a mortar, pour 2 teaspoons in the evening with a glass boiled water room temperature and leave covered overnight, keeping at least 10 hours. In the morning I stir, let the suspension settle. I don't filter. I store in a cool place. In the morning and afternoon, you should drink 1 tablespoon, at night - a quarter cup. This cold infusion is especially good for the treatment of children with increased nervous excitability, as well as for hysteria, convulsions, epilepsy. Babies are given 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.

Some patients do not tolerate valerian at all. In such cases, other herbs come to the rescue.

More than once I have seen how in the villages, with nervous disorders, not without success, they use the grass and flowers of the meadowsweet, popularly called meadowsweet. The usual measure is two or three pinches per glass of boiling water, drunk instead of tea.

Meadowsweet has not only a sedative, but also an anticonvulsant effect, improves sleep, and treats anemia. In addition, flowers, herbs and roots are useful for diabetics, rheumatism, kidneys. There is information about the use of herbs and rhizomes in malignant tumors. Meadowsweet can be used fearlessly, it does not have any contraindications.

Wild hops are quite accessible to everyone. Its seedlings for medicinal purposes must be collected on time, usually in August, as soon as they acquire a greenish yellow. Pleasant, slightly bitter tea from hop cones relieves irritability, soothes. No more than 2 cones are placed on a glass of tea.

From one weight part of hops, filled with 4 weight parts of alcohol or vodka, a tincture is prepared that acts as a hypnotic, helps with neurosis, neuralgia. The time of infusion on seventy-degree alcohol is 7 days, on vodka - 2 weeks. In the afternoon, before dinner, take 5-10 drops in a teaspoon of water, in the evening before going to bed, 10-15 drops. The dosage is selected individually, the lower limit is enough for one, and someone will not be limited to the upper limit, they will add another 1 - 2 drops. But you should not abuse it, an overdose can cause malaise, headache. Conversely, in acceptable doses, it acts as an analgesic.

In addition, I can say that hop preparations strengthen the cardiovascular system, especially with myocardial weakness. Not only in folk, but also in scientific medicine marked good results with allergic and occupational dermatitis. Immature seedlings insist and drink with thrombophlebitis, tuberculosis of the lungs and skin. Hops help with menopausal ailments, uric acid diathesis, and is popularly used for skin and breast cancer.

I will not linger on the elementary recipes for the use of oregano, chamomile, hawthorn. I am struck by a luxurious bouquet of less popular plants, such as woodruff, chicory, knotweed, angelica, larkspur, multi-colored carnation, goat willow, common thorn, forest initial cap, which have a beneficial effect on the central nervous system.

Few people would think of treating nerves with garden sunflowers. The yellow marginal petals are cut off from the newly blossomed sunflower, they insist on vodka and drink one teaspoon before meals from neurosis, neuralgia. Or brew tea from 1 teaspoon of dried petals to a glass of boiling water. I heard that the decoction is also used as an anti-cancer agent.

The infusion of the sequence has a calming effect on the nerves - a teaspoon per glass of boiling water.

Sometimes you don’t have to go far for medicinal plants, it’s enough to grow them in the garden, for example, lettuce or marigolds - calendula. Lettuce, regularly consumed during the summer, will be beneficial in disorders of the nervous system, relieve insomnia, headaches caused by high blood pressure. Daily tea from marigolds - 4 - 5 flowers per glass - reduces the reflex excitability of the nervous system, and also helps with hypertension, enhances the activity of the heart and slows down its rhythm. In summer it is preferable to use fresh flowers.

NEURASTHENIA

Not so long ago, statistical data published in the central press on the incidence of neurasthenia in school-age children caught my eye. The numbers are depressing. If the nervous system is depleted from childhood, then what can we say about the adult population?

Traditional medicine for neurasthenia uses dozens of different plants. Among them, not only the well-known oregano, St. John's wort, valerian deserve attention, but also other medicinal herbs, albeit not so popular, but with a clear directional effect.

Yellow clover, for example, contains coumarin, which has a calming effect on the central nervous system. With neurasthenia, as well as excessive excitability, convulsive conditions, headaches and insomnia, the following infusion of sweet clover herb is very useful: 1 tablespoon is poured into a glass of cold boiled water. Keep covered for 4 hours (can be soaked overnight). Drink 100 g two or three times a day.

Harvested at the height of flowering, then dried in the shade, sweet clover is fragrant and pleasant. It gives rise to a deceptive feeling of complete harmlessness, but it should be remembered that an overdose or excessive use of it can backfire, cause nausea and severe headache. In general, when using any herbs, you need to know the measure.

Sweet clover is harvested at noon, from the beginning of the lunar month to the full moon - this best time. You need to dry quickly, in dry and hot weather. When it rains heavily and the air humidity is high, the sweet clover grass must be immediately brought into a dry room, protected from warming. At high humidity, the coumarin contained in sweet clover is quickly converted into dicoumarol, which is hazardous to health, and can lead to liver poisoning and even hemorrhage.

Heather is popular among the people. He collects flowering leafy tops on a sunny afternoon. An infusion of them nourishes exhausted nerves, relieves astheno-neurotic reactions.

To do this, 2 tablespoons of heather pour 0.5 liters of hot water, insist all night in warmth. Drink in 4 divided doses before meals.

Heather is non-toxic, it is used not only for neurasthenia and insomnia, but also for colds with high fever, inflammation of the bladder and purulent processes in the urinary tract, kidney stones and inflammation renal pelvis, with diseases of the liver and spleen, as well as diabetes. In the old days, heather was more famous, but now it is half-forgotten.

And what good results angelica gives! Connoisseurs often use decoctions from its root for nervous exhaustion, hysteria and even epilepsy. It has a general tonic effect on the nervous system.

For a decoction, 2 teaspoons of crushed root are enough for 2 cups of boiling water. It is advisable to hold for half an hour in a boiling water bath. The decoction is taken half a glass 3-4 times a day before meals.

Angelica officinalis is the common angelica. An inexperienced person can easily confuse it with angelica forest, also sometimes called angelica, wolf pipe. Both of them reach the height of a man, both have a thick hollow root and large leaves with large swollen sheaths. With a close look, one can note the difference in the inflorescences: in the common angelica, that is, the angelica officinalis, they are yellowish-greenish, collected in complex umbrellas in the form of large balls, and in the forest angelica - in the form of a shield. flatter, often with a pinkish tint. But the main distinguishing feature is in their underground part. Angelica has tuberous, reddish-gray rhizomes, juicy, fleshy, the smell from them comes from a strong, fragrant, while angelica forest roots are thinner, more woody, with a slight unpleasant odor. IN folk medicine both plants are used, only in this case I am talking about real angelica, it is they who should be used.

By the way, in addition to taking the decoction inside, it is very useful for nervous diseases angelica baths. Two handfuls of dried roots should be poured with three liters of water, brought to a boil, kept on low heat for 15 minutes, insisted for an hour or two and, filtered, poured into the bath being taken. Immediately after the broth is removed from the fire, it is advisable to throw in a handful of mint, oregano and hops for the time of infusion. Baths, being in them up to 20 minutes, are repeated every other day for three weeks.

Angelica roots, rich in essential oils, are stored in a tightly closed container, then they do not lose their healing properties for up to three years. The roots dug closer to the full moon, preferably after sunset, have the greatest strength.

From various diseases, including neurasthenia, the people successfully use the bedstraw. It is also called yellow porridge, as well as honeydew, because a delicate honey aroma comes from a sprawling panicle with small yellow flowers. It grows almost everywhere, both on upland and floodplain meadows, near roads, on hillsides, in bushes, wanders into bright, sun-drenched sparse forests, forest edges and clearings. Its full name is the real bedstraw, because there are also northern, marsh, tenacious, Russian, soft, straight, thyme-leaved, three-flowered and other bedstraw siblings. They have their own distinctive features, and much narrower distribution area. In any case, if you get to know each other at least once, you can’t confuse honeydew with any other herb.

Yellow porridge is usually brewed as a tea, taking a teaspoon of crushed herb with flowers in a glass of boiling water, then sip it in a small sip throughout the day. The required amount of infusion is selected individually. Personally, for example, I drank a tea cup 2 times a day, at lunch and at night.

Soothing, even with epilepsy and convulsions in children, is the juice of the bedstraw, squeezed from a fresh plant. Drink it in a teaspoon, washed down with a small amount of water, 3 times a day.

The simplest and most affordable plants can have a beneficial effect on sore nerves. If you are not too lazy, in the summer it will not be difficult to dry raspberry leaves. Best of all, of course, wild, forest, but garden is also suitable. It is generally accepted that only berries have a healing effect in raspberries. They are dried in case of colds as an excellent diaphoretic and as an antipyretic. However, all parts of it are healing. There are examples when some healers healed with a decoction of raspberry roots. severe forms bronchial asthma. An infusion of flowers is used for hemorrhoids, female diseases. IN Tibetan medicine decoctions of leaves and stems are prescribed for neurasthenia, neuritis.

For personal use, I prepare the tincture in a ratio of 1:3, that is, I fill the jar a third of the volume with lightly crushed raspberry leaves, then pour the usual forty-degree vodka to the top. After nine days of infusion, I filter. The first ten days should be taken 20 drops 3 times a day half an hour before meals, in the second ten days, 30 drops, and starting from the third, 50 drops with a course of treatment for at least three months.

This tincture is well combined with a summary infusion of willow tea leaves, it is prepared at the rate of 1 tablespoon per glass of boiling water, a daily dose of 0.5 liters. The infusion must be kept warm for at least six hours. It is best to pour the leaves overnight, strain in the morning. A thermos is ideal for brewing. If someone finds this tea too strong, you can put one tablespoon on the same amount of boiling water.

Drops and water infusion are taken at the same time. In this way, the patient's condition can be significantly alleviated. People have long noticed that medicinal infusions from Ivan - tea are able to compete with valerian. Pharmacologists confirmed the sedative and anticonvulsant effect of the plant.

NEUROSIS, NEURALGIA

Once, it was still in my youth, I was seriously disturbed by severe heart pains. They came suddenly, piercing the chest with burning lightning. You freeze, hold your breath and wait for the sharp shooting pain to finally let go. And gloomy thoughts creep into my head: they say, everything, I got through, the end, I really couldn’t live. And the weakness is such that it hits the sweat ... At first, he was very distrustful of the doctor's words that the heart was in order, this was a neurosis, it was necessary to treat the nerves. I thought what the nerves had to do with it, the pain of the heart. Later, after treatment, I was convinced that the doctor was completely right.

In fact, cardiovascular neuroses are often perceived by patients as a tragedy. People panic, begin to be afraid of any physical exertion, literally grow into a disease, grab hold of validol and nitroglycerin, although help is often needed not so much for the heart as for the nervous system.

In the section on heart disease, I have already spoken of neurosis. Here I note that with this ailment motherwort has proven itself perfectly. The tops of the plant are collected and dried along with the leaves at the beginning of flowering, when the flowers have not yet acquired thorns. Prepare water decoctions, alcohol tinctures. The recipe is given in all reference books on medicinal plants, and in our book, in some places, methods for preparing infusions and decoctions will be given. But with neuroses, I prefer only juice squeezed from fresh grass. Why? There are several answers. A decoction, even a weak one - a teaspoon per glass of boiling water - can dramatically lower blood pressure. Not always, not at all, but I observed several cases when, half an hour after taking such a decoction, the pressure dropped by almost two dozen divisions. Alcohol extract is also more suitable for hypertensive patients. Therefore, motherwort is contraindicated in arterial hypertension. It is not advised to use it even with a strong decrease in heart rate - bradycardia. As for the juice, as I noticed, it has a milder and more gentle effect, not so dramatically affecting the level of pressure and heart function, but its sedative properties are much higher than that of water and alcohol extracts from the herb.

For long-term storage, motherwort juice should be diluted by half with vodka. Reception from 20 to 40 drops 3 - 4 times a day before meals.

With neuroses, people drink an infusion of dried birch leaves in May. Put them up to five tablespoons per 0.5 liters warm water, leave overnight. In the morning, filter, squeeze the swollen leaves. They let it settle and pour the infusion into another bowl, trying not to stir up the sediment. Drink half a glass 2 - 3 times a day before meals.

For neuralgic pains, alcohol tincture from birch buds is used externally for rubbing and lotions - it helps.

Mint, blackberries can serve as the simplest remedies for neuroses.

Alcohol tincture of mint is drunk in drops several times a day, choosing an individual dosage - from 10 to 30 - 40 drops.

From blackberry sprigs with leaves, crushing them, make a light decoction: pour 2 tablespoons with two glasses of water, bring to a boil, but do not boil, immediately remove from heat and filter. Drink half a glass 4 times a day before meals.

Some herbalists give an infusion of stinky basilisk herb for neuroses: 2 teaspoons per glass of boiling water, leave for 15 minutes and immediately strain. Take 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day.

With angioneurosis and vegetative neurosis, it is not sedatives that show themselves best, but, on the contrary, invigorating, tonic agents. The alcoholic extract of Rhodiola rosea, the golden root, perfectly treats disorders of the nervous system. Drink 20 - 30 drops 3 times a day half an hour before meals in short courses of 2 - 3 weeks.

Stimulates the nervous system and Eleutherococcus tincture - it is taken 15 - 20 drops 2 times a day, morning and afternoon, half an hour before meals for four weeks.

Both drugs are able to increase pressure and are more suitable for hypotensive patients.

To no lesser extent, neurotic pains in the stomach cause suffering. A person has gastritis in the worst case, and thoughts focus on the worst: is it really cancer?

Of course, it is necessary to undergo a medical examination, to exclude the worst. And the disease is much easier to treat when an accurate diagnosis is established.

With nervous pains and spasms in the stomach, the surest and most harmless remedy is a freshly prepared, semi-hot infusion of chamomile. Approximately the same effect has an infusion of viburnum flowers - a full teaspoon, brewed with a glass of boiling water. In folk medicine, it is often used for neurosis and viburnum bark. It is crushed, one teaspoon is poured with a glass of boiling water, kept for half an hour on low heat, not allowing boiling, or in a water bath. After straining, drink 1 tablespoon before meals.

Dry, lightly roasted viburnum seeds can be used to make coffee. This fragrant bitter drink, really reminiscent of the taste of coffee, tones up the stomach and intestines, has a calming effect on neuroses.

Gastric neuroses and some other diseases of the nerves are confidently treated with lemon balm. M. A. Nosal writes about her: “People use lemon balm inside. Napar, approximately 20.0 g per 1 liter of boiling water, with all types of nervous diseases, with stomach neurosis, when from an unknown cause a person feels severe pain in the stomach, as happens after severe mental shocks, from fear, grief, longing; with colic in the intestines and swelling, which occur even with the most strict abstinence in food, with migraines and inexplicable headaches; with increased heartbeat and dizziness, with vomiting in pregnant women, as well as with toothache, in the latter case in the form of a rinse. The water vapor of lemon balm is sometimes replaced with an alcohol extract: 1 part of the leaves by weight to 3 parts of alcohol. Take 3 times a day for a teaspoon of tincture in 1/3 cup of water.

I have been using Melissa for a long time, even before I got acquainted with the book “Medicinal plants in folk medicine” by M. A. Nosal and I. M. Nosal, and from the very beginning I preferred alcohol tincture for nervous and heart diseases. I prepared it in my own way: a little more than half of the jar of the dried plant was filled to the top with vodka, insisted for at least two weeks. The dosage was the same: 1 teaspoon 3 times a day, washed down with a few sips of water or diluted in a quarter glass of water.

Melissa has been known since ancient times. Paracelsus also wrote about her: “Inspired priestesses of ancient temples prepared a dynamizing drink from lemon balm.” Avicenna noted in lemon balm that it “helps with blockages of the brain and eliminates halitosis. Invigorates and strengthens the heart, stops the interruptions of the heart. Aids in digestion and helps with hiccups."

Melissa, being a southerner, in the middle lane and here, in the Urals, does not occur in the wild, many gardeners grow her in their gardens. For medicinal purposes, it is best to collect it at sunrise, until the dew has dried up, with the onset of the full moon, that is, when it is fully gaining healing powers.

With neuritis of the facial nerve caused by a cold, it is believed that white willow bark can help: 1 teaspoon, chopped, pour two glasses of boiled water at room temperature and leave overnight. The infusion time is at least 8 hours. After straining, drink 3-4 doses a day before meals. With this treatment, you can also carry out the following procedure: red-hot a steel sewing needle and prick with a sharp end, first a healthy cheek, then a sick one. Traces of microscopic burns very soon disappear without a trace, and then the disease itself disappears.

In the spring, shortly after the snow melts, bluish-violet bells of the open lumbago appear on the reviving hillocks or exactly the same large flowers of the lumbago turning yellow - it has a slightly elongated bell of a faded cream color. There is no other difference between these plants. Both are shaggy, as if well rolled in a silvery cobweb. They stand crouching on short stems, almost spread along the ground in the direction of the wind. Only by the time of flowering do they grow, just as the rosette of carved leaves begins to grow a little. This is the sorcery dream-grass, which has long faithfully served the magi, sorcerers, healers, greengrocers, healers to create all kinds of drink from all misfortunes and ailments.

In ancient medical books they write: “When Satan was still a bright angel and in his pride he rebelled against the Creator-Creator, Michael the Archangel drove him from high heaven to damp earth. Satan and his demons hid behind the Pasnel-grass, and Michael the Archangel threw a thunderous arrow at him. An arrow shot through that grass from top to bottom, from that lumbago the demons fled and with Satan himself fell into the underworld. And from that very time, the demonic power is afraid of that grass and runs from it for 12 miles. It delivers from the vision of the eyes, from the lesson sorrows, from damage, from the influx and from any demonic obsession.

They collected sleep-grass with various slanders and rituals on a bright May morning, when dew sparkled on the grasses. According to popular beliefs, the dream-grass flower can predict fate. It was lowered into cold spring or well water and kept until the full moon. A flower bent in water with the onset of the full moon began to move. And then they put him under the pillow at night. If you saw a young girl or a guy in a dream, it means to be happy. And if to grief - they saw death in a dream.

Sleep-grass is now rare, especially in the vicinity of large cities and villages, but only a hundred kilometers from Ufa I know one area where it is found in abundance on the slopes of picturesque green hills with small birch groves. You walk in the early morning hour through a flowering meadow, picking up grass in a basket, and you begin to feel some strange languor, peace. The soul experiences unearthly pleasure, close to the feeling of the sweetest weightlessness, when you yourself seem to cease to exist and either dissolve in the world around you, losing your physicality, or, on the contrary, turn into a kind of clot of matter, absorbing the bottomless blue of heaven with the golden radiance of the rising of the sun, the baby tender greenery of May grasses that have not yet risen to the growth of May grasses and small sticky birch leaves, and the frantic iridescent trills of nightingales... city crowd. You drive to the house, carefully holding on your knees a basket with the obtained sleep-grass, nodding, struggling with drowsiness, stubbornly calling to plunge into the sweet weightlessness of sleep.

The popular name of the lumbago reflects its main essence: a herb that induces sleep. At all times, insomnia and other functional nervous diseases, migraine, neurasthenia, spasmophilia, neurosis, neuritis, neuralgia were treated with backache, numb body parts were rubbed with juice.

The old tried and tested remedy can be successfully used in our days, in particular for neuralgic pains. 2 teaspoons of grass should be poured with a glass of cooled boiled water, kept under the lid for a day. The infusion is drunk during the day in fractional portions. When using backache, it should be remembered that fresh grass is poisonous, can cause inflammation both on the skin and on the mucous membrane of the internal organs. After drying, sleep-grass becomes harmless.

Simultaneously with the reception of a cold infusion of sleep grass, poultices of thyme are made along the path of the diseased nerve. Take it 3 - 4 tablespoons, scalded with boiling water, wrapped in gauze and applied to the body. Soon the pain subsides.

With inflammation of the trigeminal nerve, you can also use a simple folk remedy that brings relief. A cold infusion is being prepared: 4 teaspoons of marshmallow roots in a glass of boiled water at room temperature, leave for at least eight hours. This is done at night. In the morning, brew tea from medicinal chamomile: a teaspoon in a glass of boiling water, soak in a warm place for half an hour, strain. Take a mouthful of this chamomile tea and hold as long as possible near the sore cheek. Outside, a compress is applied from several layers of gauze soaked in an altein infusion. Tie a warm scarf or scarf over wax paper or plastic wrap. After the compress, you also need warmth. The procedure is repeated several times a day. Treatment lasts until the pain disappears completely. If there is no marshmallow root, its flowers and leaves collected in summer can be replaced. They put 2 tablespoons in a glass of boiling water. An hour later, the infusion is ready for use.

RADICULITIS, LUMBAGO

Some recipes fell into my hands by accident. Once I visited the market during the mushroom season. A golden glow emanated from the scatterings of chanterelles. Red-headed boletus, well-fed boletus rose on the shelves in impressive hills. No, no, yes, porcini mushrooms caught my eye. The merchants stood full of importance. How not to envy them, who collected such wealth early in the forest! But then my attention was attracted by a tanned, himself strong as a mushroom, old man-boletus, with a calm look selling ... red fly agaric. Yes, yes, those filthy mushrooms that any mushroom picker cautiously bypasses, never puts in a basket. Rarely did anyone approach the old man. Perhaps out of curiosity. I came up too. I asked how much a similar product is in the market. When I heard the price, I was amazed. Yes, and there was reason to be surprised, fly agarics were no cheaper than porcini mushrooms! Here are those on...

The old man garrulously explained: they say, how much use is there from chanterelles and boletus boletus? Well, fry it, eat it in one sitting. And you can make a healing potion from fly agarics, you can be treated for a whole year.

- You chop, dear, a couple of these beauties, fill them with a bottle of vodka and in a couple of weeks rub yourself from sciatica. As a hand will sweep ...

This recipe intrigued me. I started asking for details. It turns out that fly agarics should be kept cut for two days in a cool place, then, putting the cut pieces in a jar, pour in so much vodka that it protrudes over the thickness of a finger. Put the jar in the cellar or refrigerator to maintain a uniform temperature. Strain after two weeks. Here is the drug. It relieves rheumatic pains well, and sciatica heals completely if rubbed regularly.

I bought a fly agaric from an old man. I could collect it myself, but I wanted to respect his work. Made medicine. In fact, it has helped several of my friends with sciatica. Since then, when I manage to get into the forest for mushrooms, red fly agaric does not bypass.

If the sciatica is caused by inflammation of the perional nerve, excellent results are obtained by treatment with the sciatica ball head. This plant is easily recognizable. The basal rosette of the leaves somewhat resembles the pattern of dandelion leaves, only they are much larger and have small prickly spines on the pointed tips. Beautiful smoky-purple balls rest on tall, slender stems, reaching one and a half meters - the muzzle blooms in such a peculiar way, which is why, apparently, it was called ball-headed. The size of the flower reaches the size of a billiard ball. It usually grows in weedy places both in the European part of the country, and in the Urals and Siberia.

The seeds of the plant are used for medicinal purposes. In autumn, there is no trace of the former beauty: yellowish-gray lumps stick out on dry buds, bristling. Squeeze them - and the balls crumble in the palm of your hand into separate seeds, reminiscent of unmilled oats. Inside the seeds, if peeled, grains are hidden. They are soft, insidious, like glass wool, a shell of thousands of microscopic stings that pierce the skin and causing itching. As long as you clean the required number of grains, you will scratch yourself all over. Every now and then you have to, interrupting a tedious task, wash your hands with soap and water. But this hard work pays off with a vengeance. Mordovnik fruits are used for very serious nervous diseases: paresis and paralysis, plexitis, radiculitis, as well as multiple sclerosis, myopathy, poliomyelitis, in the treatment of the consequences of chronic radiation exposure. In scientific medicine, a very strong alkaloid echinopsin isolated from seeds is used.

For water infusion, pour 2-3 teaspoons of grains with a glass of boiling water, insist in a warm place all night. In the morning, filter through several layers of gauze, lined with cotton from the inside to hold the tiny thorns. A glass is a daily dose divided into 3-4 doses.

I also make an alcohol extract: 5 g of peeled seeds (approximately one tablespoon without top) per 100 g of pure alcohol. Strain on the twenty-first day. Take 20 drops 2 times in the morning and evening. With sciatica, nerve function was restored after three to four weeks.

There are many folk remedies for those suffering from sciatica. Here is another useful recipe: 1 tablespoon of white water lily rhizomes, yellow capsules and elecampane in dried form, chopped, pour a bottle of vodka. Insist 9 days. Strain. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day before meals.

Eating pine nuts, I do not advise you to throw away the peel like garbage. From it you can prepare a medicine for allergic and other skin rashes, in a number of diseases, which will be mentioned later, as well as from sciatica. In the latter case, they take dried peel from two hundred grams of nuts, pour 1 liter of vodka and, tightly closed, clean it in a dark place for a month. Shake from time to time. After straining, the resulting tincture is taken on an empty stomach in a small glass of wine (25-30 ml) two to three times a day before meals.

Outwardly, with radiculitis, fresh burdock leaves (smooth side), horseradish leaves, cabbage are applied.

Horseradish roots are rubbed into gruel and rubbed with it on sore spots, not only with sciatica, but also with other severe joint pains, muscle pains in the back and lower back.

Rubbed with sciatica, juice squeezed from black radish is one of the most popular remedies. Or peeled radish is rubbed on a grater, the resulting slurry is slightly heated in an enamel bowl without cracks and chips. They take a linen rag, smear a thin layer of radish gruel on one half of it, cover it with the other half, like a pie with a filling, and put it on the lower back. The patient should feel a slow and deep warming up and keep it as long as there is enough patience. Repeat in a day. “Sometimes it is enough to do several of these procedures to get rid of sciatica.

Severe pain shoots through the leg from the thigh to the heel, sometimes it does not allow a step to be taken. IN medical terminology this is lumbago, in everyday life - backache. I did not specifically treat him, but several times I had to help friends, using folk recipes. In a porcelain mortar, I ground it into flour and sifted dry leaves of agrimony through a strainer. Measured out in sachets of 1 gram. Daily rate - 3 - 4 sachets. The powder is washed down with infusion of St. John's wort - a tablespoon of grass in one and a half cups of boiling water. He advised me to make poultices daily from a mixture of chamomile flowers and sweet clover. They must be taken in equal amounts, scalded with boiling water and, wrapped in gauze, applied in a semi-hot form to the place where the shooting pain originates. At night - rubbing alcohol tincture of henbane. To prepare the tincture, I pour 1 part of coarsely ground henbane leaves with 4 parts of diluted alcohol or vodka, keep it in the dark at a uniform temperature for two weeks, filter it. Henbane is very poisonous, so one procedure should take no more than one teaspoon. If rubbing is done with fingertips, you should immediately wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. In the morning, wipe the place of rubbing with a warm, damp cloth.

Such a complex treatment gave good results.

When a person is often haunted by sciatica, traditional medicine recommends a simple collection: mix the crushed roots of burdock, dandelion, celandine in equal parts - only the roots. Pour 2 tablespoons in the evening with 1 liter of boiling water, insist until morning. In the morning, bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 5 minutes from the moment of boiling. Strain after ten minutes. Take half a glass 3 times a day before meals.

An even better result can be achieved by rubbing black radish juice into the skin along the nerve. It also helps with myasitis, intercostal neuralgia.

With sciatica, neuralgia, sciatica and plexitis, juniper berries are considered a good remedy. Only 10 berries are placed in 1 cup of boiling water, the dishes are covered with a lid and immediately placed in a pre-prepared boiling water bath for 15 minutes. After an hour, filter. Drink 1 tablespoon 4 times a day before meals. The course of treatment is not more than two weeks.

CONVERSIVE CONDITIONS

Not everyone knows that Linden blossom, which is widely popular as a reliable diaphoretic for colds, is able to treat nervous diseases. It all depends on how the drug is prepared.

A strong decoction - 5 tablespoons of crushed linden flowers with bracts per 0.5 liter of water, boil over low heat for 30 minutes - helps with neurosis, severe nervous breakdown, frequent fainting, convulsions.

All this, in turn, is caused by a number of possible reasons that provoke the rapid development of an aggressive state, often underlying the formation of mental disorders and nervous exhaustion.

Symptoms of hyperexcitability

increased excitability in modern world not such a rare problem. People face it different ages. It can manifest itself to a greater or lesser extent, but in any of these cases it significantly affects the state of a person, his attitude and self-perception, often leading to serious psycho-emotional and mental disorders.

To better understand if you are suffering from hyperexcitability, you should pay attention to your behavior and attitude to some things. As a rule, much in your life changes when you are completely overexcited.

1. Sleep problems begin. Now it's normal for you to wake up at night and have nightmares, followed by painful falling asleep, tossing and turning in bed. Often you can’t even fall asleep, you feel either hot or cold, unable to find a comfortable position.
2. Eating disorders occur. You either refuse to eat, or you cannot move away from the refrigerator. As a rule, the latter is accompanied by a serious weight gain and the development of depression against the background of a strong increase. There are also frequent cases of the formation of bulimia against the background of increased excitability and strengthening of the depressive state.
3. Minor difficulties, obstacles, violations of plans unsettle you. At the same time, you either withdraw into yourself or openly express your anger, are ready to cross out the whole day because of one small trouble, tend to blame everyone around for what happened.
4. You become very vulnerable and suspicious - any careless word can provoke aggression, crying, hysteria.
5. Everything annoys you! The rattling of keys in your pocket, an incorrectly parked car, carelessly placed food in the refrigerator, the smile of your interlocutor, the weather, and so on.
6. You stopped holding your own. Sometimes you can catch yourself laughing out loud unreasonably or talking in raised tones. Most likely, at such moments you no longer hold back in words, express your dissatisfaction even when it is not very appropriate.

7. There are problems with memory, reaction. It becomes more difficult to communicate with people in general.
8. Often the world in this state seems hostile. No friends - everyone goes against you.
9. There is a desire to get away from everything and everyone, to hide alone, so that no one touches you.
10. As an additional symptom, immunity decreases, digestion is disturbed, and you begin to get sick often.

Causes of increased excitability

The main factor in the development of increased excitability is extreme overwork of the body. When all its resources are depleted, a natural defensive reaction is activated, the purpose of which is to protect a person from negative impact from the side, so the movements become sharp, and the level of aggressiveness increases. Stress and the development of depression are added to overwork. With regular stress exposure, the nervous system is forced to work in emergency mode, experiencing overload. This becomes an impetus to the formation of a prolonged depression, which in turn provokes a person’s desire to get away from everything as far as possible.

Overuse foods such as red meat, sugar, caffeine, over time, render digestion and the central nervous system unusable. In case of failures in the first, disturbances occur in the production of pancreatic and thyroid hormones. In case of failures in the second, the transmission of nerve impulses is disrupted. Together, this gives rise to problems that lead to the development of human overexcitability.

Chronic lack of sleep, processing, fatigue, excessive presence at the computer, passion for computer games, dependence on the phone and TV - all these are the reasons for the appearance of increased excitability!

One of the main reasons for its development is also addiction to alcohol, smoking, drugs, which may include antidepressants, as well as a number of other addictions.

IN childhood a frequent impetus for the development of increased excitability is the syndrome of hyperactivity and lack of attention. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to completely get rid of it, and the syndrome passes into the life of an adult, where it behaves unpredictably. Against the background of this neurological disease, overexcitability can be latent and overt. And each is dangerous in its own way. In the first case, the person goes out due to emotional burnout, quickly loses working capacity, is prone to mental disorders and is very difficult to converge with people due to isolation. In the second case, a person is openly aggressive, irritable, does not converge with people because of the complexity of the character, often dissatisfied with trifles, prone to arguments and outbursts of rage. In both cases, people remain very pliable under the influence of others.

How to deal with hyperexcitability

Home remedies for overexcitability

At home, a person with increased excitability can help himself in several ways.

1. Relaxing baths. Every 2-3 days take baths with decoctions of chamomile, sage, thyme, lemon balm, motherwort, valerian root, juniper. They can be combined in one composition or used separately. After the procedure, you must immediately go to bed. The room should have a comfortable temperature and fresh air!
2. Instead of black, green tea and coffee, drink herbal teas with chamomile, thyme, lemon balm, mint, motherwort. They will help the nervous system recover, relieve tension, remove toxins from the body and normalize sleep.
3. Do morning exercises, do stretching, yoga, dance! Movement is life not only for the muscular corset, but also for nerve cells. Regular exercise, especially to positive or relaxing music, improves the electrical impulses entering the brain and normalizes the condition with increased excitability.
4. Eliminate annoying factors. If you understand that a lot of things in your room annoy you, you cannot concentrate, then immediately or gradually change everything in the way that suits you. Get out of your sight the things that drive you the most! And, of course, do not forget about regular cleaning - a mess is not conducive to recovery.
5. Meditation and proper breathing. Regular practices teach to control the mind and keep emotions in hand.

To all this, it is good to add a visit to the pool and periodic massage from a professional who will help you get physical relaxation.

Medicine against hyperexcitability

An important element in the correction of increased excitability is a visit to a neurologist! Since serious deviations in the work of the central nervous system can become the cause of this problem, it is important to exclude the development of the disease before engaging in treatment. In some cases, the doctor prescribes the normalization of sleep and rest, diet and exercise, walking. But the basic approach does not always work, especially if we are talking already about chronic condition. Then, medicinal and supportive drugs come into play, including light sedatives, vitamins, nootropics, which allow you to correct nerve impulses and provide the brain with good nutrition.

One of the common remedies are a variety of preparations of magnesium, potassium, vitamin C, Pantocalcin, Tenoten, Novopassit and other drugs.

One of the most common manifestations of acute mental illness, is expressed by motor anxiety of varying degrees: from fussiness to destructive impulsive actions.

Depending on the disease, the types of excitation are extremely diverse both in severity and in the clinical picture. But regardless of this, any psychomotor arousal requires prompt emergency treatment, since at this time the patients present greatest danger for yourself and those around you.

Often, motor excitation is accompanied by speech (motor speech excitation) with verbosity, often almost continuous speaking with cries of phrases, words, individual sounds, etc.

Along with this, pronounced and often very intense mood disorders:

  • anxiety;
  • confusion;
  • anger;
  • viciousness;
  • tension;
  • aggressiveness;
  • fun, etc.

Types of nervous excitement

Usually, according to the nature of the patient's excitation and his statements, it is possible to differentiate different types of excitation.

Hallucinatory-delusional arousal

Hallucinatory-delusional excitement arises on the basis of delirium and hallucinations; the excited state of the patient is determined primarily by these disorders. Patients experience fear, anxiety, confusion, in other cases, they are angry, tense, unavailable. Often talk with hallucinatory "voices", answer their questions or listen to something.

With delirium, the experiences of patients are determined by visual hallucinations. With a sharp excitation, patients, under the influence of delirium, hallucinations, attack imaginary pursuers or, conversely, fleeing from them, they run without understanding the road, jump out of a window, from a moving train, etc. There are frequent transitions from defense to attack.

Catatonic excitation

Catatonic arousal is characterized by lack of purposefulness, randomness, meaninglessness, sudden and impulsive actions with aggressive actions and the transition from arousal to stupor. Often accompanied by speech fragmentation, incoherence. Folly, mannerisms, grimacing, and absurd behavior are also characteristic.

depressive arousal

Depressive arousal (depressive agitation, melancholic raptus) occurs in patients with depression, usually with a sharp increase in depressive experiences in the form of a growing feeling of unbearable melancholy, hopelessness, despair. Patients rush about, do not find a place for themselves, scream, groan, howl, sob, stubbornly injure themselves, actively seek suicide.

manic excitement

Manic excitement is expressed not only in high spirits, as it happens in a manic and hypomanic state, but also in motor speech excitation. Patients are sometimes cheerful, sometimes angry, vicious, irritable, almost do not sit still, sing, dance, interfere in everything, take on a lot of things, not finishing a single one.

They talk almost continuously, speech is fast, phrases often do not finish, jump to another topic. They overestimate their strengths and capabilities, often express crazy ideas of greatness. In this regard, they commit a lot of ridiculous, often life-threatening acts, with objections they are angry, aggressive.

epileptic excitation

Epileptic excitation occurs with twilight disorder of consciousness in patients with epilepsy, so for its recognition it is important to find out the presence of epileptic seizures in history. It is characterized by a sudden onset and an equally sudden end, accompanied by a viciously intense affect, complete disorientation, and the impossibility of contact.

Under the influence of the most acute hallucinatory-delusional experiences, the excitement reaches the sharpest degrees, it is characterized by extreme danger to others, since the patient can pounce on others, causing them severe damage, destroying everything that is on the way.

Psychogenic (reactive) arousal

Psychogenic (reactive) excitation occurs, as a rule, immediately after acute mental trauma or life-threatening situations (catastrophe, crash, earthquake and other extreme situations), and is expressed by motor anxiety of varying degrees with an abundance of expressive movements, bright effective and vegetative disorders.

The clinical picture is very diverse - from monotonous monotonous excitement with inarticulate sounds to pictures of chaotic senseless excitement with stampede, self-harm, suicide.

Quite often excitement proceeds with psychogenic delirium or is replaced by a stupor. During mass catastrophes, psychogenic excitation through the mechanisms of mental induction can cover more or less large groups of people with the onset of panic.

Psychopathic arousal is close to psychogenic, it also occurs more often after exposure to external annoying factors, however, the cause that caused it does not correspond to the strength of the response, which is associated with pathological (psychopathic) characteristics of the patients' character.

Excitement with viciousness

Excitation with malice, aggressiveness is usually purposefully addressed to specific persons who have offended the patient, accompanied by cries, threats, cynical curses.

Many cases are characterized by severity, brightness, great tension, affective disorders, demonstrativeness in the patient's behavior, his desire to attract the attention of others, arouse their sympathy or approval.

Demonstrativeness, reaching the degree of theatricality, with violent emotional reactions, a persistent desire to achieve sympathy, pity for others, is characteristic of the hysterical variant of psychopathic arousal.

Movements, facial expressions of patients are emphatically expressive, expressive: they sob, scream, wring their hands, take expressive poses. Often, at the height of excitation, a hysterical fit occurs, which, as it were, represents the maximum severity of the above disorders.

At the same time, in contrast to epileptic seizure instead of convulsions of a tonic and clonic nature, expressive movements are noted, there is no such sudden fall with self-inflicted injuries, biting of the tongue and urination are rare, there are no nocturnal seizures, there is no complete amnesia.

Causes of nervous excitement

Nervous excitement usually develops if a person is prone to:

  • frequent stress;
  • lack of sleep;
  • irritation;
  • nervousness;
  • suffering from mental illness.

All this can be expressed in conflict situations with people around. Sometimes the cause of the development of increased nervous excitability is not emotional and mental factors, but anxious and suspicious character traits.

However, often the first and second causes are present in combination. A vicious circle is formed: lack of sleep - irritation - nervous stress- insomnia.

Nervous excitement can be a symptom of the following diseases:

Symptoms of nervous excitement

Symptoms of nervous excitement are:

  • violations of the movements of the eyeballs;
  • asymmetry of facial muscles;
  • bad orientation in time and space;
  • awkwardness and incoherence.

In addition, there are headaches and a slight delay in intellectual development.

It is insomnia that is a hallmark of increased nervous excitability. Insomnia is determined by the state of a person, if he cannot fall asleep for three to four hours, tosses about in bed, trying to find comfortable position body.

Also, a person can wake up in the middle of the night and lie down until the morning with open eyes. In some cases, insomnia is considered as a symptom of some somatic pathology.

Treatment of nervous excitement

Most important way the fight against nervous excitement or unreasonable anxiety is the search for and treatment of the cause. Without treatment, such nervous excitement leads to increased risk suicide.

The following steps can help reduce anxiety:

  • Calm environment.
  • Sufficient lighting.
  • Medications such as benzodiazepines and, in some cases, neuroleptics.
  • Full, quality sleep.
  • A change in familiar environment or environment, such as a short vacation.
  • Hobbies and hobbies.

Don't focus too much on your anxiety, if possible. This usually makes the problem worse. If your close person is in danger of harming himself or others, due to nervous excitement, or unreasonable anxiety, and there are no other less restrictive ways to control his behavior, use only hard limits.

Only the attending physician can prescribe drugs. You can read the main recommendations in the "" section. In addition, work with a psychotherapist is necessary.
For several months I have had a constant increased nervous excitability. I am nervous about and without, and now I am already nervous from the very fear of starting to get nervous. EEG: moderate general changes bioelectric activity. Signs of irritation of the structures of the brain stem. How likely is it to talk about organic brain damage?
Performing an instrumental examination without indications and an overdiagnostic sabbath in the description of the examination data is the path to the somatization of mental disorders and the neuroticization of the nation. Good afternoon. My son is 11 years old. He is very aggressive towards his younger sister and peers. At school, teachers complain about him - he does not work himself and interferes with others. I make comments or scold starts to cry. Not deprived of attention and care. Advise what sedatives can be used at 11 years old?
Before use sedatives the child should consult with a neurologist to determine the cause of increased nervous excitability. It may be necessary to undergo examinations and only after the examination and receipt of the results, the doctor will prescribe the correct treatment for you, if necessary.

Most children are characterized by restlessness, hyperactivity, often nervousness. This is due to the fact that children are more curious, more sensitive than adults, they react more sharply to the world and perceive everything that happens in it differently.

However, often increased excitability becomes a serious problem and requires not only the enterprise of any measures on the part of the parents, but also the complex treatment of this syndrome.

Increased excitability in children can manifest itself in different ways - from unmotivated aggression and unreasonable screaming of a child to headaches, insomnia, movement disorders and other symptoms.

All this is due to disruption of the nervous system.

Increased excitability in children becomes a problem not only for parents, but also directly for the baby himself - he is absent-minded, cannot concentrate, his memory deteriorates, as a result of which he lags far behind his peers in development.

In this article, we will tell you for what reasons the increased excitability of the nervous system most often occurs, what symptoms it manifests in children, as well as how it is treated and which pills will help calm the child's nervous system.

Hyperexcitability syndrome in children

Hyperexcitability syndrome in children is quite common. It is typical for approximately 40-45% of children early age, as well as for 10-15% of children of preschool and primary school age. Approximately 3 times more this syndrome occurs in boys than in girls.

The syndrome of increased excitability in children disappears with age only in 30% of cases, in the rest it persists and requires constant medical correction. In young children and older children, increased neuro-reflex excitability manifests itself in different ways. Next, consider the main causes and symptoms of this pathology.

The cause of increased excitability in a child

Increased excitability in a child is the result of many factors, however, the main reason is perinatal damage to the central nervous system (intrauterine infection, birth injury, hypoxia). Taking medications, toxicosis and illness of the mother during pregnancy, smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages- all this also contributes to the birth of a child with symptoms of increased excitability.

Increased excitability in a child often has a transient character, being just a reaction to stress or illness. Colic, teething, hernia, dysbacteriosis, vitamin D deficiency are common causes of hyperexcitability syndrome.

Increased nervous excitability, its symptoms

What is the manifestation of increased nervous excitability? Symptoms of this pathology can vary significantly and depend primarily on the age of the child. Often, increased nervous excitability makes itself felt already in the first months of a child's life and, with a favorable course, disappears by 1 year.

Increased nervous excitability, symptoms in young children

In young children, this syndrome is manifested by increased motor activity, sleep disorders, causeless crying and anxiety. During a cry, the child has acrocyanosis, pallor, or redness skin, breathing and heartbeat become more frequent, sweating increases. Children with hyperexcitability syndrome do not breastfeed well, are distracted by external stimuli during feeding, gain weight poorly, suffer from frequent regurgitation and intestinal dysfunction (constipation, diarrhea).

Some of the main symptoms are movement disorders- hypertonicity of the muscles, which can suddenly be replaced by hypotonicity, clonus of the feet, tremor of the chin and limbs, nystagmus.

Increased nervous excitability, symptoms in children of preschool and primary school age

In older children, hyperexcitability is manifested by symptoms such as hyperactivity, excessive impulsivity, unreasonable aggression. Such children cannot concentrate their attention on one thing, they cannot complete what they have started, they perceive and remember information poorly. As a result, they lag behind their peers in psychomotor development, often they have problems with speech (stuttering). Enuresis, encopresis, anxiety disorders, tics, parasomnias, headaches, insomnia - these symptoms are also often included in the hyperexcitability syndrome.

Treatment of hyperexcitability

Treatment of increased excitability primarily involves providing the child with a comfortable, calm environment at home. It is also recommended to walk longer in the fresh air, strictly adhere to the daily routine.

Treatment of hyperexcitability is not limited to medications. It should also include courses of massages, exercise therapy, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy (electrophoresis, paraffin applications), phytotherapy.

Concerning drug treatment, then nootropic, sedative, vascular pills, metabolic, homeopathic drugs, psychostimulants, antidepressants are often prescribed. In some cases, treatment is not complete without the help of a child psychologist, speech therapist.

Pills to calm the nervous system

Pills that calm the nervous system are mandatory, but not essential, in the treatment of increased excitability. To date, there is a wide selection of such drugs, but before giving them to a child with hyperexcitability syndrome, you should definitely consult with your doctor!

In the treatment of increased excitability of the nervous system, such main groups of drugs are used, such as sedatives, tranquilizers and psychostimulants. Widely used and homeopathic pills to calm the nervous system.

Many doctors in the treatment process give priority homeopathic remedies. Worthy of special attention sedative pills for the nervous system. They are shown to children from the age of three, subject to the recommended dosage instructions, Tenoten does not cause side effects, and is also not addictive. Tablets for the nervous system Tenoten for children perfectly cope with the hyperexcitability syndrome, providing a sedative, calming and anti-anxiety effect.

Hyperexcitability Syndrome - Symptoms And Treatment

Doctors are sounding the alarm - the number of patients diagnosed with "Increased Nervous Excitability Syndrome" is increasing exponentially and very soon may become a serious problem on a global scale. Any person, regardless of age and gender, is susceptible to this disorder of the nervous system, although adolescents and male children suffer from nervous excitability more often than others. What causes the disorder and can it be dealt with? In this article, we will answer all your questions.

Symptoms of the disease

Individuals with this disorder are easily identified by external signs: by the asymmetry of the muscles of the face, impaired movement of the eyeballs, poor orientation in space and time, as well as awkwardness and lack of concentration. In addition, the patient complains of constant headaches, and an experienced doctor may note a slight delay in intellectual development. However, the main symptom of nervous excitability is insomnia. At the same time, one can speak of insomnia only when a person does not fall asleep for 3-4 hours, constantly turns from side to side, in an attempt to find a comfortable position. In addition, with insomnia, a person can wake up in the middle of the night and not close his eyes until morning.

Causes of the disease

This disorder occurs in adults and children. In adults, this disease develops against the background of constant stress, a frantic pace of life, malnutrition, lack of proper rest, and especially lack of sleep. As a rule, in 80% of cases, residents of megacities suffer from this disorder. Children are mostly susceptible to this disease, since their nervous system is not yet sufficiently stable and cannot cope with the huge amount of information received. The disease is aggravated by exorbitant workloads in educational institutions, a turbulent situation within the family and, of course, many hours of sitting in front of the TV and at the computer. Computer games have a particularly negative effect on the psyche. In addition to emotional and mental factors, suspicious character traits can provoke increased nervous excitability. Moreover, in most cases, the doctor finds both of these causes in the patient.

Treatment of the disease

To combat this disorder, modern medicine produces a lot of drugs. The most popular medicines, such as motherwort tincture or valerian extract, have vegetable base. Besides, experienced specialist, depending on gender, age, and the cause of the nervous breakdown, may recommend one of the following medications:

  • sedatives in capsules and drops Barboval or Valocardin;
  • cardiological drug Tricardin;
  • metabolic agent Glycine;
  • homeopathic preparations Calm and Cardioic;
  • nootropic drug Piracetam;
  • anticlimacteric agent Klimadinon;
  • vitamin preparation with metabolic action Magnefar B6.

You can fight the syndrome of increased nervous excitability and folk methods. To do this, you need to prepare a decoction of flowers and leaves of calendula. To prepare the product, you need to take 2 tbsp. dry flowers of calendula and oregano, as well as 1 tbsp. tansy. After mixing the herbs, they need to be poured with boiling water and insisted for an hour. You need to take the remedy for ½ cup 2 r / day for three weeks.

Disease prevention

Increased nervous excitability is not a diagnosis that requires serious medical treatment. This is only a minor disorder requiring correction, including through the normalization of life. To do this, you need to adjust the sleep pattern, which means going to bed at a certain time and sleeping at least 8 hours a day. In addition, you should avoid worries and stress, reduce the time spent at the computer and regularly take walks in nature. Peace and tranquility to you!

Nervous excitability

Description:

Increased nervous excitability is considered a fairly common disorder of the nervous system. Often, increased nervous excitability is observed in young children and adolescents. Male children and adolescents are more susceptible to this disorder.

Symptoms of nervous excitability:

Symptoms of increased nervous excitability are - violations of the movements of the eyeballs, asymmetry of the muscles of the face, poor orientation in time and space, awkwardness and lack of concentration. In addition, there are headaches and a slight delay in intellectual development.

It is insomnia that is a hallmark of increased nervous excitability. Insomnia is determined by the state of a person, if he cannot fall asleep for three to four hours, tosses about in bed, trying to find a comfortable body position. Also, a person can wake up in the middle of the night and lie until the morning with his eyes open. In some cases, insomnia is considered as a symptom of some somatic pathology.

Causes of nervous excitability:

Increased nervous excitability usually develops if a person is subject to frequent stress, lack of sleep, irritation and nervousness. All this can be expressed in frequent conflict situations with other people. Sometimes the cause of the development of increased nervous excitability is not emotional and mental factors, but anxious and suspicious character traits. However, often the first and     the second reason are present in combination. A vicious circle is formed: lack of sleep - irritation - nervous stress - insomnia.

Treatment of Nervous Excitability:

To prevent increased nervous excitability, it is necessary to adjust the sleep pattern, in particular, adhere to the same time of going to bed. In other words, try to go to bed at the same time every day. In addition, it is necessary to observe a sufficient duration of sleep - at least seven hours. People at a more mature age, as a rule, have enough five hours of sleep.

Increased nervous excitability - what is it?

One of the most famous and common disorders of the nervous system is the syndrome of increased nervous excitability. The number of patients suffering from this disease is increasing year by year. They suffer regardless of gender, age, professional affiliation, etc. However, psychologists are sure that boys and male teenagers are at risk.

Excitability of the nervous system: symptoms and causes of the disease

People who suffer from hyperexcitability syndrome can be calculated by the following external signs:

  1. The muscles of the face are asymmetrical;
  2. The movement of the eyeballs are disturbed;
  3. Crashes in spatial orientation person;
  4. These people are characterized by absent-mindedness and disorganization in movements and expression of thoughts;
  5. Patients often complain of headaches;
  6. A psychotherapist quickly detects intellectual development disorders in such a person;
  7. Sleep disorders - insomnia.

This disease occurs in adults and children.

There are several reasons that cause increased excitability of the nervous system in an adult:

  • Frequent stress;
  • Incorrect (unbalanced) nutrition;
  • Overwork as a result of improper work and rest. The constant lack of sleep has a particularly strong effect on the occurrence of a nervous breakdown;
  • The desire to do several things at the same time, etc.

It is noted that three-quarters of the patients are residents of large cities.

The nervous system of the younger generation is too unstable to sudden changes and heavy loads. The flow of information that daily falls on the child at home, at school and on the street has a particularly negative effect on her. The load that is considered normal in a modern school, conflicts in the family and adherence to gadgets, is detrimental to the psyche of a teenager. The heaviest damage to the child's nervous system is caused by computer games.

The less emotional stability a child has, the more prone to the possibility of getting sick with increased nervous excitability.

Prevention of the syndrome of nervous excitability

First of all, it is worth noting that any problems can arise in life, but alcohol and drugs have never become a way out of the situation. The only thing they lead to is the aggravation of troubles and the emergence of new ones. So, the following methods can become the prevention of the syndrome of nervous excitability:

  1. Sports. If you have been dreaming of doing any sport for a long time, start today. Sign up for a class or just start with morning runs. You will see how after a few days of classes your mood will improve, and many problems that seemed insoluble will recede into the background;
  2. Walks. Make it a rule - do not run from work to the bus, but walk a couple of stops on foot. No time for stupidity? Don't lie! Free yourself this half an hour. It is especially good to walk in the park or through the forest. Go out on weekends to nature in order to just get some fresh air;
  1. Break free from computer addiction. Often, running home from work, we again find ourselves at the computer. We can even spend weekends with a gadget. Force yourself to give up gadgets at home. Take care of the house, bake a cake, do something useful, just stay away from the computer. This dependence quickly disappears, as soon as the body understands how good it is without a “blue screen” or a tablet;
  2. Negative information from the outside should be kept to a minimum. Try to protect yourself from negative emotions caused by criminal news reports, stories about problems in the country's economy, political instability, terrible diseases etc.;
  3. Restore normal mode work and rest. An adult should sleep at least 7 hours a day, preferably 8. At the same time, it is necessary that there is enough time not only for work and sleep, but also for good rest– hobbies, sports, communication with family and friends, etc.;
  4. Have a good rest on weekends. Try not to burden yourself with different responsibilities on weekends. Say "no" to those who try to load you extra work, and make you spend precious minutes on yourself. Go out with your family, spend more time with those you really love, get positive emotions;
  5. Protect yourself from interacting with unpleasant people. Try to exclude from life those who do not bring joy into it. Make new friends and acquaintances, have fun and try to listen to your heart and not give in to discouragement.

Increased nervous excitability does not belong to the list of serious mental disorders.

It requires the intervention of doctors only if it disturbs the patient himself. In most situations, it is corrected independently.

Measures to combat nervous excitability

If you feel that your efforts to restore the nervous system are not leading to any noticeable results, see a doctor. The doctor will conduct a survey, prescribe tests, make a diagnosis. Only according to the results of the examination, the specialist will prescribe the appropriate treatment. Never listen to friends and acquaintances who "had the same symptoms and took this or that drug." Without the recommendation and prescription of a doctor, it is impossible to take antidepressants or tranquilizers.

However, in folk medicine, valerian root, motherwort flowers, plantain leaves, hawthorn berries, etc. were used to eliminate nervous tension. These mild and harmless antidepressants can be bought at pharmacies without a prescription. In addition, they will not harm health, and will not have a negative impact on the human psyche. They can be taken both separately and in combination. From the dried components prepare infusions on alcohol or decoctions on water. Currently, tablets and capsules of valerian, motherwort, etc. are being produced. In addition, there are many herbal preparations that are used to relieve nervous tension, but for proper treatment you should consult your doctor.

Depending on the severity, causes and course of the disease, the doctor may prescribe the following groups of drugs to the patient:

  • Sedative (suppressive consciousness) drugs;
  • Cardiological (heart) drugs;
  • metabolic agents;
  • Homeopathic preparations;
  • nootropics;
  • Vitamins and drugs that weaken menopausal manifestations in women.

Glycine is considered one of the most common drugs for nervous excitability. This metabolic agent improves the functioning of the brain, positively affects its performance, eliminates emotional and mental stress. The drug helps well in situations close to critical (stressful). These include exams, conflicts in the family, etc. The drug restores sleep patterns, eliminating insomnia. Reception of Glycine contributes to the normalization of mood. An important factor is that this drug does not belong to the group of narcotic drugs, does not cause addiction and dependence. In addition, Glycine is prescribed for both children and adolescents, and adults. The doctor chooses a regimen for taking the drug individually. There is only one contraindication to taking the drug - allergic reactions to the components of the drug.

In folk medicine, there is a wonderful remedy for the increased excitability of the human nervous system. This is an infusion of calendula flowers.

To prepare it, you need to take the components in the following proportions:

  1. Calendula (dried flowers) - 0.5 stack;
  2. Oregano (twigs with dried flowers) - 0.5 stack;
  3. Common tansy (dried flowers and twigs) - 2 tsp;
  4. Boiling water - 1 l.

Herbs must be thoroughly mixed and steamed in boiling water. Cover the container with a warm cloth and let it brew for 1 hour. Strain the product and bring the amount of decoction to the original 1 liter. Take 100 g in the morning and evening for 20 days.

Methods of treatment with folk remedies

Increased nervous excitability is a type of mental illness. Most often, this disease occurs in adolescents and young children, but it can also occur in men and women.

Types of nervous excitement

Depending on the behavior of the patient and the nature of his speech, several types of nervous excitation are distinguished:

  • Hallucinatory-delusional - a person is closed from everyone, tense, feels anxiety and fear, can communicate with his hallucinations or listen to them. The condition is dangerous because the patient can attack, jump from the balcony or run into the roadway, he does all this in delirium.
  • Depressive - occurs as a result of insurmountable depression and hopelessness.
  • Catatonic - characterized by sudden senseless actions, incomprehensible speech. The patient's behavior is absurd, stupid.
